I had a good experience at Classic Family Spa in Glendale. There's convenient parking in the back, which is a plus. I made an appointment and they were able to accommodate a 90-minute massage without any issues. I walked in, was greeted right away, and my service started promptly. I will note that the massage initially went for about an hour, so I had to clarify that my appointment was for 90 minutes. Once I mentioned it, the masseuse was accommodating and spent the remaining time working on my head and shoulders and even did a little bit of gua sha on my face, which I appreciated. Most massage places open at 10 AM, but this one opened a little earlier, so I called to check for availability. Fortunately, there was an open spot when I called so I went in right away. There are a few parking spots reserved for spa patrons behind the building. I was greeted by my massage therapist and I chose a Swedish massage. They offered a Summer Special from Monday-Thursday, 9 am - 1 pm: *$20 off massage *Swedish massage $50 for 60 min. The overall atmosphere in the spa and the massage room was quiet and relaxing. The massage therapist used the perfect amount of pressure to knead out the painful knots. What was an hour-long massage seemed like 5 minutes! My back was feeling much better afterwards! I just had an amazing massage at Classic Family Spa! I asked for a back walking massage and my masseuse did exactly what I wanted! The location is quiet and the rooms are extremely clean and smelled wonderful! The sheets were soft and the massage table very comfortable! My masseuse asked me a few times if I liked the pressure and she had the softest hands I've ever felt. Her touch was light but firm and she used a combination of hands and arms/elbows to work out my knots. She was very friendly and had sweet and caring eyes. I called to see if i could come now as a walk in and they said they were busy and to come in 2 hours (no problem at all!) It was a clean and welcoming vibe. They recommended 1hr custom therapy massage since i was experiencing a specific back pain. I had a male masseuse who worked his freaking magic on my back. I've had plenty of massages before but never had a "thai massage" and while it was very intense, some parts hurt a lot, and some parts made me giggle, I felt my tension in my back release many times throughout the massage. I nearly cried out of relief when I stood up from the bed and didn't feel the excruciating pain that I have been experiencing for the past few days. He really customized the massage to where he could feel the tightness in my back muscles and the other muscles that are connected to them. I couldn't thank him enough. I don't understand how this place has almost 5 stars but if I could give zero I would. One of the worst experiences I ever had. First of all since when the door of the massage room stays open? Even after mentioning few times that it was cold. You would think the first thought would be, Let me close the door, but no, the lady brought a thick blanket and started massaging me with blanket. I finally told her that I don't feel anything with the blanket on me. She didn't even know how to use hot stones either, every time that she was changing the stone, you would think, an earthquake happened. She was so loud.
