I paid a visit to CFoS to get my company vehicle (2021 Ford Escape) serviced. It began making a horrible noise under the hood, so I got it in the next morning. The issue was quickly diagnosed to be a faulty alternator and belt. Now mind you the vehicle is only 3 years old and only had 65,000 miles on it. Total price out the door was $1700. A bit higher than other places, but I needed it fixed ASAP and CFoS was able to fix it right then. All I will say is that Ford vehicles seem to have a shorter period before planned obsolescence kicks in than my Hondas and Toyotas ever have. That said, from a dealership perspective, they were kind and accurate with their diagnosis and got it fixed quickly. For that, the 4 stars. read more

Terrible dealership,My Son traded in his big horn dodge ram for a 2022 Chevy Silverado with 90,000 miles he had the truck a week and noticed transmission problems so he took it there, by the way he has a landscaping business so his truck is very important to him. He had a warranty on the truck thank God . They had his truck for 1 month and 2 weeks they also found an oil leak to so I'm trying to understand why you would sell a truck to someone with problems Idk were they hoping for him to fix it just wow. By the way they never updated him on his truck after having it that long , he picked up his truck later that night his engine light came on and his truck went into safe mode so I told him to get it fixed some were else , to get a lawyer and I'm also going to call the better business bureau and also channel five news this is unacceptable period. Turns out someone neglected to take out the shipping parts to keep the vehicle stable on top of the shocks during transit. Horrible customer service! Booked a service appointment because my check engine light came on. Melinda was the service associate that took my car in and said she would call me when they looked at it. The entire day went by and I hadn't heard anything so I called Melinda and she said the car had not even been looked at yet and asked if it was okay to keep overnight and they would look at it tomorrow. Tomorrow afternoon came and I STILL hadn't heard anything so I called and spoke with Holly who informed me that the car STILL hadn't been looked at (day 2) and Melinda was off for the day. She said that she would TRY to have another service rep call me. Waited a few hours and still NO CALL! I called back YET AGAIN and spoke with Fay who said the car STILL hadn't not been looked at and she was not sure what was going on with it. She repeated the same song and dance that Melinda was off today and medically there is nothing they could do about it and the manager BRAD will not be in until Monday. I told them not to touch my car and I went to pick it up . I do not recommend ever going to this dealership for service. They did not reach out to me one time during the two days my car was there. Avoid at all costs. A car was listed for sale on the internet with the price. I contacted the dealership via a link in the ad, and they responded in writing that the car was available. So I called and spoke to them, and told them I live an hour away and that I wanted to make sure before I drove over. They looked up the car, made sure it was available, and set up a time for me to come over. It was when I got there that things fell apart - fast. I was immediately told that they had an "upcharge" on the car - of $20,000 to $25,000!! The price in the ad was completely fictitious and was an outright lie. They knew I was responding to that ad, and they used a completely false price to get me there. I was gone in less than two minutes. Did they really believe I'd just say, " oh, OK. I guess 50% more for the car still sounds pretty good?" I took my Ford Edge in to Classic Ford because the radio and camera was giving me trouble. They had to fix the mother board. Th radio was working but I never checked my USB plug. When I went to use it about a week later it was not working. I was busy so couldn't get to it right away. When I did they wanted to charge me over $300.00 to fix it. I refused that so it wasn't fixed. I am disappointed since it worked when I brought it in the first time. This is not a dealer I would recommend, I only went there because I have an extended warranty. read more

One star can't even do justice, this dealership is to be avoided at all cost they say there with me trading in a 2018 Honda civic for a 2014 v6 challenger. The only thing that sold me was the continuous this is a "even trade". So I sat through everything me and my pops who was getting the car in his name. This deal I sat at the table and told them I owe 9000$ on this car so once this is all said and done I'll owe 9000$ on the challenger. They said yes. This statement was the only thing that sold me. All the meanwhile they repeatedly said there is no refunds once the sail is done it's final. Now with the purchase being complete IM PAYING A LOAN FOR 24,000$ FOR A V6 2014 CHALLENGER. On Dec. 18, 2023 I dropped my 2015 Ford Edge off at Classic Ford of Smithfield for 1. the radio/screen not working 2. the driver's side heat/defrost not working 3. a tailgate warning light "not latched" coming on even when it was closed 4. and an oil change. On Dec 27, 2023 they called me to tell me my car was ready. After paying $3500+ to get it fixed I went to my car, turned it on and went to turn on the radio...which was not working. I never even moved the car out of the space they parked it in. The radio was roughly $2200 of the total bill. I went back inside, told them it wasn't working and gave them my key. They took me home and said a technician would look at it the next day. Four business days later on Jan. 2 they said they thought it was a part under warranty that failed and that was on back order. On Jan. 4, they said they would bring the car back to me while they waited on the radio part to arrive, and that everything else was fixed. I got in the car to drive it and the driver's side heat/defrost were definitely NOT fixed. In fact, there was zero change from the point where I dropped it off on Dec. 18- no hot air, no warm air, no defrost. I texted my customer service rep immediately. No way they put any new parts in, and no way they tested it ... even though they drove it to my house from the dealership. I was told they would pick it up and get me a loaner car while we waited on the radio part and they fixed the heat. By Jan. 11, 2024 I still had no loaner and very few updates that provided any information about a loaner or when my car would get fixed. I asked for a refund to my credit card since the radio and heat were not fixed and they were not able to provide a loaner like they said they would. I said that I would write to the BBB and Yelp on Jan. 12, 2024. At this point they offered to pick up my car the next morning to fix the heat issue that same day. They took the car around 10am. It's now Monday afternoon, Jan. 15, 2024 -- I had to ask for an update. The heat still isn't fixed. The radio still isn't fixed. There is no word of a loaner which they said I could get when they wrote me on Jan. 4...and I'm still out $3527 with no offer of a refund or a loaner. While my customer service rep responds to my texts it is the same information each time-- "still trying to figure it out" or "no loaner available" or "I have a meeting with my manager" -- the "manager" has never reached out. It has been a month now. They said they fixed my car on Dec. 27 and it was VERY CLEAR that it was not fixed, but they still took payment. Now I'm just getting the runaround. I gave them a couple extra days to make this right from when I said I would write a review, but I'm not sure if anything was even done within that time. I'm incredibly disappointed with my experience with the Classic Ford Service Department and would not recommend anyone taking their vehicle there to get it fixed. read more

Not really the most friendly of people. Visited their old and new locations looking vehicles, and probably won't be returning. Granted there are some good apples in the bunch, not everyone up there is bad. Bot that I'm looking to get my butt kissed or anything, but if I'm going to drop that kind of money at a business, it'd be nice to be treated better. My wife takes her car up there to get serviced and the guys try to sell her a ridiculously expensive set of tires, claiming hers were "worn". I'm not sure if they were trying to take advantage of a female and make a quick buck or what, but several things were wrong: first off, the tires weren't worn. They passed the penny test, and the tread still nice. They were making her believe it was incredibly dangerous to drive on them. And second, the price they quoted her for new tires was astronomical. I've worked at a couple of dealerships in my day and know the tricks, but it's not appreciated. Kinda sad she can't get her car serviced without getting scammed. For buying a car, I'd look elsewhere. I purchased a truck from there and they were very attentive the day of my purchase. However, within a week I went back for some questions and to complete the transaction and the salesperson didn't remember my name. That same salesperson contacted me a month after my purchase about new deals and didn't remember me. The paperwork showed the wrong mileage at the time of purchase, which could create a problem for me if I were to sell or trade the vehicle. I had some warranty service that was required and it was up there for multiple days within no updates or response from the service department. I will never purchase from this dealership in the future and I will not have my vehicle serviced there in the future. In close I would say that the building is nice and new and Fords a a good product, but when you open the doors of that dealership the personal are more similar to that at a used car lot and a cheap auto repair shop. Tim who works in finance lied to us and we called him out on his lies. Lousy customer service, they try to make numbers look good but when you pull the calculator out to show them their numbers don't make sense, we were told maybe we should take our business elsewhere. So that's exactly what we did. Got what I wanted today at their sister store, Classic Nissan of Sanford. We were talked down to at Smithfield Ford and Tim was very condescending. I purchased a 2013 ford focus for my 17 year old son we had it for about a month and the transmission started acting up so took it in. They had my vehicle for 2 months and still hadn't looked at it so I went and just to pick it up and take it somewhere else. At that time the service managers boss and Stan the GM of classic Ford ensured me the part has been put on an emergency rush delivery. So a month later I call to see what the status is they now tell me they aren't sure if that's what's really wrong with it they want another mechanic to look at it. The service manager calls me back hours later and tells me it's ok to drive we can come pick it up until the part arrives even though two months ago it wasn't drivable or safe to drive. So to give them the benefit of doubt I was like well let's just trade it back to them for something different. So my son found one he liked even though they were asking about 2,000 dollars over the highest value of what the car was worth. And then they had the nerve to tell me they could only give me 5,000 for the car I paid 10,000 for from them 6 months ago and they have had it 3 of those months. So we looked at our options my son was even going to put down 4,000 dollars but still couldn't that we would have to put down 8,700 before the bank would finance it because the cars value wasn't worth that much. Please Please Please do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this place as possible by far the worst. A bunch of monkeys could run this service shop better. And I have called the local news station to see if they where interested in listening to my story and they are supposed to call me back on Sunday after the holiday. read more

So I bought a 2018 mustang gt last November from them, it's been back a couple times due to transmission issues and now just recently, a stalling issue.. they have had the car for five days.i was told they can't find anything wrong with it because no codes are showing up and to come pick it up.i asked if they looked into a couple of things and their response was, I can't with out any codes. When I call the service manager and told him what they said, he said they would have to call ford technical assistance. Since moving to their new location on Brightleaf Blvd, Classic Ford's service department and customer service has deteriorated rapidly from what they were at their old location. Goes to show that a new shiny building does not equal improved service. At their old location, you could expect a phone call describing their mechanical findings within a day, then a good estimate of when your vehicle would be ready. Since moving to their new location, you're lucky to hear the status of your vehicle within a week, leading you to hope they haven't lost it. They have dropped the ball on service, hate to even imagine what their sales staff is like. As a long-time customer, I warn you not to take your vehicle to this dealership for service, you may never see it again. I would highly advise not to do business with this dealer at all. There are other Ford dealers who still believe in good customer service. One star is too much for these losers. read more

My Girlfriend bought a mustang a couple weeks ago from lewis, very happy with the way he treated us, not so much the price but it was what she wanted so we went ahead and went with it, where the 1 star comes from is due to when we went to sign the paperwork and the contracts we originally didnt want to get a extended warranty or Gap insurance and the finance manager told us that he could get us a 2 percent lower interest rate from the bank if we bought it, so it seemed a little fishy but she wanted the lower interest, and went ahead and did it. Well my brother works in the car business in another state so I asked him if the bank does that and he said no, that they had interest rate built in above what the bank charged and all he did was take away the interest profit and what he did was illegal ! So we just got back in town on Friday and he told me to contact the DMV inspector and the bank and tell them what the finance person had told us and done so Monday we will be doing that, Shame on the dealership for trying to FORCE someone into buying a product that they dont want by saying the interest rate would be lower.... ILLEGAL ILLEGAL ILLEGAL ,,, DMV and Bank will be getting contacted on Monday and I will be coming back in to the dealership to cancel the warranty and Gap and wont be paying the higher interest since I now know its a scam read more

I went in to trade in my truck at the end of october for a 2014 jeep compass. My husband is overseas so I had to do everything while I had our 2 year old daughter with us which is fine because this is part of life. Anyways, they wouldn't budge on the price of the jeep, which is also fine but it just wouldn't fit in our price range. My husband and I finally decided if they could get us to $315/month payments for 5 years, we would sign. I called the salesman and told him that and I specifically said "out the door, tags, tax, title, and fees" as well. He said okay. I drive 30 miles to the dealership and its a whole different story. "No this isnt including tax, title, fees, etc". I get up to walk out because I am just annoyed at this point. The manager comes over and we agree... $315/month for 5 years. It came to $316.55, okay cool. Well the jeep needed a new battery and the side panel on the drivers side seat needed replacing. I signed off on these conditions BEFORE agreeing to buy. Car is ready and I get in and wouldnt you know, the side panel is still broken. The salesman rigged it and I went home. I get out and it BROKE AGAIN. I called and schedule a day to come back in. THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME FOR IT. So I asked for my paperwork where I signed to the agreement that it would be fixed and after an hour of arguing back and forth, they agree to fix it. (after I decided to call my lawyer). Fast forward to a month and a half later and its time for scheduled maintenance..It still has under 36000 miles on it. I called them to make an appointment for "whatever the warranty covers" because it is about to be shipped overseas where the warranty will be voided. The guy says "okay we can do things like the oil change and tire rotation here but anything else will have to be done at a chrystler dealership" (this is because there are two different warranties, the one at the dealership i bought it at and another for the actual vehicle itself for being under 36000 miles). Okay, so I go in today... They tried to sell me $40 wiper blades but I said no thanks because I dont want to give this place any money. (They have always been difficult, a WHOLE other story). So they get done and tell me my total is $45. I politely told the guy that I only came to get what was covered by the warranty. HE then told me I didnt have one! WHAT?! I confirmed when I bought it and again when I called to schedule the appointment. Do you really think I would have driven all the way to smithfield if it wasnt covered? So we go back and forth and I get pissed. I told them they are the most backwards dealership I have ever dealt with. My father was a mechanic, I know how they work. I am so tired of this place telling me one thing on the phone and another when I go in. I didnt pay for the services today. They said it would be taken care of. Actually Horrible doesn't do justice, went there looking to replace my F150 that had been totaled, told the salesman John that I was buying either today or tomorrow, first place I stopped, WOULD NOT SHOW ME THE TRUCK , wanted to bring me inside and make me fill out a credit application first,I told them I already had my financing arranged, ( had pre- approved check form my bank in my pocket for 65K) Was introduced to I guess the finance manager "Jake" who I cant believe is a manager much less the one who handles the financing, was told by Jake unless I was willing to give them a credit application there would be no need to look at a truck ,,, WHAT??? I get it they where closing in a hour, and everyone wants to go home, but being told BY A MANAGER I COULDN'T EVEN LOOK AT A CAR UNLESS I WAS WILLING TO GIVE PERSONAL INFO WHEN I HAD A CHECK IN MY POCKET, I find to be dishonest, rude, and down right shady, I have tried to contact the general manager " STAN LOVEJOY" 4 TIMES and pretty much was told he would not be interested in speaking with me about this issue since I didnt buy from them..
