I had no clue where I was headed or…read morewhat I was doing, but when I arrived to the address and went inside they informed me it was a haircut and a facial shave package. I walked in and was warmly greated by everyone, and they even wished a happy birthday. I got into the barber's chair and he asked how I'd like my haircut. I explained and he quickly got to work. In no time my hair was cut, and it looked great. Then it was time to work on the face. Now I wish I knew all the things they did to my face, but what I can tell you is that it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience. I know it was shaved with a straight razor, scrubbed, moisturized, had hot towels and cold towels placed on it. The shave and all facial things lasted about 30 min. I look forward to going back in a couple months and doing it again. The vibe inside was very nice and welcoming. My wife did tell me they were a little weird at first about her booking, pre paying and pre tipping, but she explained and they went ahead and allowed it. I am grateful they did and grateful she found this place. Everything was top notch!

I wanted maintenance and the bangs out of my eyes. But, I left with a totally different drastically shorter hairstyle that I didn't request. I even specifically told the stylist not to cut the sides since the stiffness of my hair causes it to stick out unless it's long enough to comb back. As you can see from the pic - the sides were cut and now stick-out. The pic also shows that the back is also awkwardly squared-off. So, I'm forced to find another stylist to fix what was done (which will sadly cause me to have an even shorter cut). I estimate it will take 3-4 months to grow back the damage done. My guess is that if you have very short hair that needs periodic maintenance, or, if you want that luxurious barbershop shave and men's spa vibe. This might be a great spot for you. They also have an entire section for mani/pedis that look super comfortable for dudes. So there's that too. But, I can't say it's a place where you'll get the cut you ask for.

I try to select service with any available professional so I can meet everyone and so far there are no favorites because they are all super cool people. Checked in with the receptionist and gave my name and my appointment time. She kept calling me John and I corrected her 3 times. Once she finally acknowledged my name and found my reservation, she told me the stylist, Mirada Z, was running late but to have a seat. While I waited more people came in and were taken to other stylists while I sat and waited. Finally after 25 minutes I went up to the receptionist and asked for an update. She said that she was running late, gave no update or no apology for my waiting. I asked if there was another stylist that could take me and she replied no without looking at the schedule in front of her. At that point I told her I was not happy about this and left. This was not the first time this has occurred at this location. The customer service has been rapidly declining over the past 6 months and this will be the last time I visit or recommend this location to anyone.

I was loyal to Ludlow Blunt (formerly Tommy Guns) in Brooklyn, and Justin's skills vastly surpass their best barbers, even on their best days. Yes, his cuts take time. He cares about his craft and his attention to detail clearly reflects that commitment. You have to make an appointment, though. And, be prepared for a slight wait even when you make an appointment. Justin (and every barber who works with him) treat each client individually, and they will make sure you leave looking your best. Frankly, their prices are low considering the level of skill exhibited and the consistency of results. Additionally, the shop is a really cool space, and everyone in there (barbers and customers alike) are down-to-earth and easy to talk to. I have never had a bad experience and genuinely enjoy my time there.

Some years ago, I would get my haircut here on a regular basis. However, with parking being a problem due to the business next door, I had quit coming here. I was able to park in front of the barber shop shortly after a customer left. I was able to get a haircut with no wait and watch a Halloween movie on AMC to boot. As for the Halloween sequel, don't ask which one. I lost track after the third one. And none of them are as good as the first Halloween. Anyway, the barber gave me a great haircut. Short on the sides and a finger cut on top. And I was able to talk to the barber about the Halloween movie, the Halloween season, eateries, and barber shops. Nice to have someone to talk to. Unlike my neighbor who always goes on a rant about minorities. I start talking about something like music or food trucks, and somehow it leads to him going on a rant. Nobody wants to hear that sh..... But hey, I got a great haircut. And I do not have to worry about looking like a werewolf for Halloween. I will most likely return to Father and Son.
