I originally posted a bad review after I purchased a vehicle from Classic Mazda and have had no interactions with the sales department, but I must review the service department in a totally favorable light. Since my purchase, I have brought the vehicle to Classic Service and it is always a satisfying experience. Wait is sometimes long but that must mean that they are good at what they do. Service Manager Gary Moretti is the most knowledgeable, honest customer oriented person in the business! Always offering cost cutting tips not sacrificing safety or things that should be done, has made me trust him implicitly to listen to his suggestions every time I bring the car in. The most recent visit resulted I. The news that a new battery was needed. Gary remembered that mentioned it had been replaced "a while ago" in Tallahassee (where the battery basically blew up). Gary then contacted the Tallahassee location (Gem Mazda) and found that I was still under warranty and saved me the cost of a replacement when I didn't even recall that. He looks out for all of his customers and my appreciation and trust keeps me returning to Classic Mazda for the past 8 years. read more

FINAL UPDATE: I wanted to start fresh with a new and improved review that accurately conveys my experience with Classic Mazda without putting them on a pedestal or vilifying them. Additionally this review serves as a cautionary tale for the naive customer like I was. Shawn and Vince with sales were great, and Julio in Finance was as well I still believe these individuals deserve a shout out for their phenomenal customer service. I did not experience haggling or anything of the sort like you expect at a dealership, and left happy on day 1 January 21st. I even got a coupon for a complimentary first oil change because of concerns I had about the car. However, I ran into trouble in paradise on January 27th, less than a week after purchasing the vehicle. I had an engine light on for a cylinder 4 misfire. I had not even driven the car for 300 miles at this point. Understandably I was frustrated with Classic Mazda because I felt like a thorough inspection of the vehicle should have indicated that some additional maintenance needed to be done. However the inspection only really stated that the previous oil change was failed and that the front breaks would need to be replaced soon. Long story short, another issue appeared and eventually a trusted independent mechanic was able to determine that my alternator was bad. I do not want to use accusatory language here, but I do find it weird that the dealership was in no way aware that the alternator was no good during point of sale. Maybe they weren't and I am unlucky BUT I am definitely mentioning it in this review for those that may be more educated on these matters. The big point I want to make is that when you buy a car as-is and the 5 day/300 mile warranty is up, you as the customer are responsible for any repairs that the vehicle needs. I tried to get Classic Mazda to do a good-will repair since the issue happened so soon after purchase but the most the GM could offer was a discounted diagnostic. I was naive, and now I know better and am looking to educate people who are new to buying used cars as-is. IF you buy newer cars at this dealership I imagine it's a wonderful experience for most. But if you're like me and buying from the 'Vehicles Under 15k' section please be cautious. I wasn't and I have had to already spend too much to repair the car when I have had it less than a month now. As long as you go in educated and prepared you should be fine and as a whole this dealership isn't awful like some I have heard about. read more

This is my second Mazda from Classic Mazda. I got my 2021 CX-30 three years ago and have loved it ever since. I have had it routinely serviced. Service is quick with a quality video sent to you while they have it in the shop to show you someone pointing out your tread depth, fluid levels, how dirty your filters might be and all that jazz. The service does not break the bank and I am grateful for that. Taylor Royal and Alex Quintela were amazing in sales. Very approachable and Alex is always making sure I am well-informed with what my vehicle comes with and setting up everything like my Mazda Connect on my phone. I will start by saying I had a Fantastic sales experience. My salesman was Evan, he was awesome and took pictures and videos of the truck that I ultimately purchased. I was driving from 4.5 hrs. away, so I asked for several pics and videos. I also spoke with Taylor Royal during the sale and trade portion of the sale. They were both Fantastic and answered all my questions promptly. While shooting a video for me, Evan noticed a chip in the glass and showed it to me, it was very tiny. I did not ask them to fix it, but to my surprise when I arrived to pick up the truck, they had already scheduled a repair tie at Safelight glass in my local city, this was above expectations. The truck was in excellent condition and obviously been taken care of. While test driving, I noticed the steering wheel vibrating and pointed it out. Evan sent an email to management, and they agreed to reimburse me to have the tires balanced. I sent them a receipt and they are mailing me a check. When I opened the hood, everything looked good except for the battery that was leaking acid and had started corroding a terminal. I pointed it out immediately, Evan took pictures of the acid stains and corrosion and said he was sure they would get it taken care of, but no manager was in to approve replacement. He sent my concern and pictures to the vehicle operations manager, who denied replacement stating, "it tested very good so we will not replace it." I voiced my concern of it doing more damage because it is obviously leaking but it was still denied. I was very surprised by this because they had been amazing up to this point and they claim to recondition and do a thorough inspection of all used vehicles. I have years of experience working in the service department for Chevrolet and Ford and can confidently say a battery leaking acid would not pass inspection by any ASE certified mechanic that I know. I can understand it being overlooked by someone in a hurry but should have been promptly changed upon showing it to management. I have several text and photos back and forth about replacing the battery but ultimately was denied. I will say no one was ever disrespectful and treated me very courteous, but after going through several communications back and forth the General sales manager, Jim Vella, text me and said since it tested good, they will not replace it. This was disappointing but not a deal breaker. I love the truck. Overall, I would buy from them again, but I would not assume that being told something will be taken care of means that it will. Doing it over I would not have driven 4.5 hours back home and waited on approval. I would have them replace it before delivery. read more

Just out of the blue, from reading a CNET article, I had an epiphany: my next car will be a Mazda; maybe a 6, but more likely a 3 (An SUV is not for me). After all, my little Infiniti is 16 years young, even if it's still south of 90K, and it's time to update, based on all the new safety features and gadgets, to which we've been exposed when we're traveling and renting. I was introduced to Classic courtesy of Costco. Apparently, Costco works with a number of different dealerships like Classic, who give Costco members a Costco price, no haggle (supposedly) and a couple of other minor sweeteners. In exchange, you get a relatively pain-free car-shopping experience and a fair price (maybe not "best bargain", but better than average, from the information I can gather) - not a bad deal unless you're at the top 0.5% of car buyers in terms of savvy, gung-ho, and yeah, no small amount of dogged obnoxiousness. Our contact, Gordon Pagano, has been in the business a long time. He's very low-key as car sales people go, and easy to deal with. I did a test drive, decided on the 3 in grand touring trim with the premium pkg (that's where all the fun stuff is, for a cool $1600 extra, list), soul red, parchment interior, but I wasn't 100% sure whether I wanted the stick or AT. Unfortunately for Gordon and Classic, they didn't have my vehicle! After looking around, Gordon identified a fellow dealership in JAX that had one in the dark blue. At the time, I said I wasn't sure about the color, but still put down a $500 deposit. I thought the price they gave me was pretty fair - 11% off MSRP, with the full rebate AND the dealer rebate thrown in. In the next 24 hours, it became apparent that I could go see the kids in Atlanta, on Father's Day, AND buy a car there. This after doing some searches online and realizing...they had my car! So I told Classic to hold off bringing the car here. Not just yet, is what I thought. What sealed it for me was that, when I got the final price for the car being brought in from JAX, the rebate was $500 lower! Is the cost higher to bring in a vehicle from a fellow dealer (nothing mentioned to me), did they simply not remember they were going to also throw in the dealership cash back, or something else...I'm not sure. But it did create an opening and the chance to explore my Georgia options. Now quite frankly, if the one in GA did not pan out (sleaziness etc.), I could have gone back to Classic and, I'm sure, gotten the $500 difference. But it did work out. We drove it the 480 miles back home day after Father's Day. Two weeks on, I'm enjoying the car so much that I'm seriously contemplating letting my Porsche go. Never did I think I'd prefer driving an automatic Mazda3 over a stick shift Porsche. But I do. read more

Someone left their empty energy drink can in my car when they gave it back to me, and while it had gas when I dropped it off, there were less than 20 miles of gas left when I picked it up. Agreed to purchase terms with Classic Mazda for a 2022 Miata that will be delivered in a couple of months. I reached out to at least a half dozen Mazda dealers that had Miatas listed on cars.com or autotrader, all of which want to add-on ridiculous fees or provided a price that did not disclose dealer-added fees, protection packages, etc. One dealer advertised a vehicle at under MSRP, but actual pricing added a $5k market adjustment and $1,199 processing fee. The definition of a used car nightmare. I bought a Jeep Wrangler in September 2020, I've always wanted one and it was 2010 with low mileage so I jumped on it, and I should've known not to since it was Pandemic times and I didn't visit the shop, I told them to drive it over to my house in Gainesville from Orlando, later I found out they charged me close to $2 k just for the favor of driving it. As soon as I bought it started showing issues, I demanded a refund but it was 12 days over the 3o day period. I was shafted. I got the extended warranty that proved to be a scam, when I needed most they told me it had expired, although I had 2 years left on my loan. I paid 27k all and all for a nightmare vehicle. It needed a new set of spark plugs, all the liquids were empty or old, new tires (1200 dollars right there), new shocks since they were blown, sensors for the tires busted, constant issues with he transfer case until I had to replace it, new drive shafts both front and rear, a bent axle? none of it was covered and the warranty that cost $3500 was completely useless, now I just want to pay it off in September and never again buy a Jeep or deal with this dealership, the definition of Scam if I've ever known one. Buyer beware, I was excited and it was my fault for not checking the car with a mechanic right there and then, but those were hectic times and now I'm literally paying for it, I've done so much work to it JUST TO DRIVE IT, probably upwards to $10 k, I'm the joke of my friends and family since it breaks down every 3 months. Please do yourself a favor and find a different dealer, there are tons that will stand by their product and provide a good customer experience, Mazda Orlando is not it. read more

I always get intimate service from this location. I don't feel like I'm just another person. It helps that every time I service my vehicle here, the same gentleman, Gary, always calls and gives me a breakdown. He is genuine and explains the severity of different diagnosis, providing clarity of which things must be addressed immediately and which problems can spare a little more time. His calls make me feel less like a paycheck compared to other shops I've been to in the past. On this particular experience I was not going to make it in time to get my car back before the shop closed but the sales office was going to be open so they accommodated me. Some one from the mechanics took my vehicle and parked it out front next to sales and passed the key to the sales desk. I arrived shortly after seven and was able to pay for my services at the sales desk and drive away with my vehicle no problem. As long as I am in Orlando, I will continue to have my vehicle serviced at Mazda. Bought a us2016 Mazda from here on April 10, 2020. We live in North Carolina . Today is June 3 and the dealership has failed to file our paperwork with the DMV. I have a car sitting in my driveway, I cannot drive because they will not f/u promptly and sent the correct paperwork to the NC DMV. We have called/texted multiple times and the dealership says the paperwork was/is lost due to COVID 19? They charge for doing this and have not followed up. It should not take 2 months to get your tag/DMV paperwork sent. They should fix this immediately and give us our money back for the fee they charge to file the paperwork. Worst part is they don't even care to reconcile this promptly. Updated: As of today 7-17-2020.. my husband called last week and was told the manager-upper leadership was going to overnight our paperwork.. They DID NOT.. We have NEVER received any copies of the paperwork we signed on April 10.. We should have never left the dealer that day without it.. But Taylor was "busy".. in a hurry and was so swamped that he said he couldn't process it and we would have to wait hours more (note we were there about 4 hours and we had flew in from NC to buy the car and drive back. Leased my first Mazda SUV from this dealership and also have it serviced here. I didn't think anything could beat Toyota service, and Mazda is much better, not as crowded, has a nice sitting area with free snacks, a great coffee maker and bottled water.
