I have been going to Carlos's shop now for a little over a year. After having my vehicle serviced here I refuse to go to any other shop. No matter the problem of the vehicle Carlos always gives me every option that is available, and doesn't push anything that doesn't need to be done. This shop has integrity that I haven't seen at any other shop. Once the job is done Carlos always lays out the parts that were moved, and shows me the the damaged parts and why they needed to be removed. When you go here you'll never want to go anywhere else. In the past year I have had my head gasket replaced, cylinder head replaced, thermostat replaced, head unit re-milled, bearings replaced, belt replaced, and more. Other shops I went to told me the engine was better off being replaced, but Carlos started with the cheapest options and replaced what they could to prevent me from having to replace the whole engine. I just dropped my '06 Hyundai Tiburon off for the fourth time, and we went on a test drive as usual and Carlos went through everything that was going wrong. A couple months ago I went to Carlos the owner of Mechanic on Duty CB to get my car fixed. My engine kept over heating and I didn't understand why. When I brought in my car Carlos and his team did a thorough in depth look at my car to figure out what the problem was. I ended up having a crack in my engine and had to get a new one. Carlos is an honest, hard working, and generous mechanic. I accidentally tripped a fuse in my car that disabled my power steering to work. I went to one mechanic who proposed to charge me $75 just to look at it! Because I was actually somewhat knowledgable of the problem, I said no way! All we have to do is replace the fuse. When I met with Carlos, he popped my hood, opened the fuse box, and said No problem. He ordered the fuse and fix it, 15 minutes, no questions asked and no ridiculous overcharged shop fee. I have taken my car there for a year now and had my AC serviced, parts replaced and installed, oil changes, etc. I own a 1989 Lincoln Town Car and due to its age, many things happen. I was so happy to find Mechanic on Duty. From the moment my car arrived in their shop Carlos was very detailed in the inspection of the vehicle. He provided me information along with detailed pictures showing ares of concern and prioritizing needed repairs. I just had my heads replaced on my 03 Dodge Ram hemi. This truck was a mess before I brought it to the shop. They explained exactly what was going to need fixed. He then gave me a parts and labor break down sheet before starting the job. It only took them 4 days to complete everything. He didn't try to upsell parts or labor. Just good all around business. A week after picking up the truck they contacted me to see how the trucks running. I was shocked!! I've never had a shop give me a follow up call after the vehicle was picked up. Recently had my 2006 Saab in for maintenance. I've never been to a mechanic before who took the time and energy this one did to explain to me what was wrong and how to fix it. The prices quoted were fair, the service was excellent-- just like the turn around time! Dropped it off and it was ready the next day, this included diagnosing problems! Carlos is a great mechanic. His shop is 14 miles away but worth the drive. He is honest and does great work. Carlos is always polite and respectful and always tries to make me feel welcome when I bring my car in to be fixed. He works hard to earn my business which is why I keep coming back.
