I was asked to show up 15 minutes early for a new patient appointment. I showed up 20 minutes early and filled out paperwork promptly. I watched two people walk in after me, I would say a minimum of 20 minutes after. It could have been longer, I don't want to exaggerate, but I know it was at least that because they were certainly both after my appointment's start time. One with an appointment and one walk-in that needed something done quickly. I understand the walk-in was quick, but I was still placed behind them even though I had an appointment. She just strolled in and was taken care of almost immediately. I am not sure exactly why the other person with an appointment was taken back earlier. I was just told that she liked to spend more time with new patients, which I can appreciate, but within reason. After waiting 51 minutes, I was taken back and told my blood pressure was too high to be treated. I get that may be true, but most people's blood pressure increases as they wait longer and longer. I wouldn't want her to treat me if I'm not ready, but a simple acknowledgment would have sufficed. If that was going to decide whether I could be treated, it would have been nice and seems possible they could have done this when I got there. The office manager was incredibly nice and I enjoyed my experience with her. I will never go back and I will recommend people not to go here. I took time off from work to go to this. I showed up early in order for her to treat me as a new patient, but I was penalized for her earlier delays in the day. Once again, no one's fault for delays, but felt like the person that got there for their appointment well ahead might have been seen first. She may be a great acupuncturist, I cannot attest to that, but the experience was so bad it wouldn't be worth it. The office manager was incredibly nice and I enjoyed my experience with her.

I have a M.Sc. and a PhD and I'm one of those moms that is very thorough when it comes to anything related to my health or that of my family. Irrespective of curricula and experience, a Traditional Chinese Doctor may or may not have the gift of feeling the points and understanding your body in a holistic way. That's a talent one is born with and Dr. D. Eisenman at Holistic Primary Care certainly has that gift. He is extremely knowledgeable as well, and his expertise and knowledge never cease to amaze me -- from every little muscle in your body to physiological and infectious processes, you name it, he is very studied and solid. He combines Thai massage trigger points with Chinese medicine and many other techniques. But going beyond that he has the ability to combine variables and understand what is going on in holistic way. I call him our miracle maker. He can fix whatever problem you have, even when you (or your traditional doctor) do not know what it is. He treats me since I moved to Miami -- for a boost in my defenses, for migraine, for back pain, for the flu every other Dr told you you'll have to be in bed for a week, for exhaustion after a business trip marathon, for thyroid issues, and I could go on and on. He also treats both my kids (8 and 12) and got my son's recurring lung infections to stop and helped my daughter get rid of a calcium deposit (Sever's disease) so that she could do sports again. Without antibiotics. Without albuterol for Asthma. Without cortisone or steroids. Several of my family members were treated here: for high blood pressure, to minimize the effects of Hashimoto's, for their lower back pain due to a damaged disc. Some of them are the type of person that would never go to a holistic doctor, and yet, they felt so much better that they kept going.
