Typically I only see Hannah when I go in for services, unfortunately she is out for a period of time and I had to see someone else. I showed the lady at the desk the concept of what I wanted and she directed me to a tech named Kim that said she could do something similar. I was perfectly fine with literally ANYTHING along the lines of what I took in as my idea. Unfortunately, that's where it takes a turn. After she does the fill (with a totally different color dip powder mind you, original was purple and she picked something like a burgundy glitter) she proceeds to google simple Halloween nail designs on her phone. Now, by all means, get inspiration where ever you need to, however I brought a reference picture. When she asked me if I liked it, I told her that I wasn't happy at all and it was nothing like what I brought in. She then said that she thought I wanted something Halloween themed, but my picture was of a crescent moon and constellations. That being said, she did offer to take the design off and leave it a solid color, but her entire mood shifted drastically. I declined and literally told her I was going to paint over it. The lady at the front when I paid asked me how I liked my nails and I was literally in tears by that point and told her I hated them and was going next door to target to buy polish to cover it. She immediately got another tech to take a look, she herself was floored as well. They both were going to have Kim fix it, but I personally refused to sit back down at her station to do anything else. They took my number and the owner was supposed to contact me, that has still let to happen 5 days later. They didn't ask what length I wanted on my nails before they started cutting.. I wanted long. They gave me extra short. My nails are uneven and they look horrible. For $70 you'd think they could do better and actually ask the customer what they want before they start cutting. I asked for round nails and some of them are round.. but some of them are square this was ridiculous because I paid so much for the service and it looks like a 10-year-old did it. They were very nice people so I give them a star for that. read more

Been going off and on to Classy Nails for 3 years now. The reason why off and on because I wasn't able to find a good nail tech. One day I made an appointment with Sonny. I went in and the person who made my appointment didn't realize Sonny wasn't working that afternoon, so the owner (I assume the owner) send me to Erik. He knew I always go to Sonny to get a pedi and I was really picky on who I went to. He said Erik is really good and I would be happy with him. I'm glad he referred me to Erik. Erik listen to what you want and he is great. I told him I don't like the drill being use on my nails to remove the cuticle that I want them cut instead, because it somehow peels my skin from the cuticle later and it start bleeding the next day after my nails are done. I have told every tech that had done my mani and they just continue to drill the cuticle off instead of cutting it. But Erik listen and did what I ask. I won't go to Sonny anymore because the last 3 times I went to him before Erik he didn't clean my cuticle when he did my pedi. Erik will spend time on your nails. He doesn't rush you thru, he takes his time. Erika hasn't been at Classy Nails to long because he hasn't in Alabama that long. He is on the other side of the salon. read more

I have had two really bad experiences now at Classy Nails in the last six months. Today was my fault because I should NOT have gone back after the first bad experience. The nail technicians make mistakes. For example, asked for square shape, received round, wrong color, limited color selection for dip, can't match up toes and nails, poor quality, and just half done. They always blame the "misunderstanding" on language barrier, so not their fault and no solution. The young Caucasian lady who works the front desk is unprofessional, rude, and has an attitude of "she can't be bothered". Today, I spent $115 dollars plus $20.00 in tip, and still walk didn't get what I asked for and the work is shotty. It is exhausting and in no shape, form, or fashion the relaxing experience one expects with self-care. read more

I went to Classy Nails for the first (and last) time yesterday. I waited 30 minutes before a nail tech addressed me at the station I was instructed to go to. The station had a dirty towel left there and leftover supplies from a previous client. When i was finally acknowledged, I was chastised for not soaking my old gel polish off at home, then left and ignored for another 10 minutes before someone finally came to get started on my "manicure". Tom, the nail tech, used the electric drill to remove the remainder of my old polish, and nicked my finger. I flinched and he said to me "that didn't hurt", then ran the drill over the heel of his hand to demonstrate that I was wrong. My finger was bleeding, and he completely ignored that. He began cutting my nails without asking, then filed them all different lengths and shapes. His paint job was hasty and sloppy and my nails are translucent at the top and the texture is bumpy and uneven. He put cuticle oil on my fingers after the polishing was finished and told me to run it in myself. He then told me to wash my hands, and disappeared while I was doing that. I returned to the chair, thinking that maybe he had gone to get supplies to finish the MANICURE I requested (not just a paint job), but when he returned, he just placed the bill in front of me. The checkout process was not smooth, either. Overall, worst manicure/paint job/salon experience I have had, will not return. read more

NEVER EVER GO HERE! I came in and asked for a new set and gel manicure and trim and this is what I left with. He just painted over my last nails and refused to fix them when I told him it was unacceptable. Started yelling at me and told me it would cost more money to fix them. Astonishing that they do not hold themselves to higher standards and had the audacity to speak to a paying customer the way they did. If I were you, I would stay far far away. read more

Personally my nails were amazing. Pauline did a fantastic job on my nails, and I did not feel rushed at all. It is my second time coming here. Be careful who you set up your appointments with though! My two friends also got their nails done here the same day and unfortunately they were not as happy with their nails. You're experience is based on who you get as a nail tech. I went in on Saturday February 4 told lady I wanted 3 tips put on and showed a picture of the nails and art I wanted. I sat down I believe it was seat 15 the guy must of been new cause I never saw him before now remember I said I only needed 3 tips my other nails was long next thing I knew he clipped all my nails off had to have both hands with tips. He did the painting and the art I ask for did a fair job. I woke this morning everywhere he put white polish on which was every nail somewhere or the other he used in my valentine nail art. Was brown. I go in showed them they said they can clean them up she got a cotton ball with acetone I said ummm they aren't completely clean no I would like them all taking off with this polish. She told me she would have to charge me. Ok well it needs to be fixed. They sat me down and no one knew how to do acrylic nails they moved me 3 times. I will never go back. One tech cut me so went to another, Lynn, she is a manger. Did a great job for a year then pushed me onto another tech. Said she was cutting her hours. New tech, not mentioning her name, doesn't do that good of a job and gets to close with smoother and burns me too many times Went last week and due to scheduling error got to use the best tech there, Sonny. Scheduled appt for 2 weeks out and then proceeded to leave. Manager yells across parking lot for me to come back inside to continue yelling at me about not missing my next appointment in front of everyone in salon I have been Going there every 2 weeks for over a year and NEVER missed and appointment. Tom gave me a gel manicure here. The experience was very good but i would advise against any filing after the gel is set and dry. 4 of my nails chipped after 3 days. When I returned since they advertise free touch ups before 14 days, you just make sure your nail tech is there or else they will charge you full price. read more

I've given this place multiple tries. It's hit or miss as to if you will receive good service. But this last time, will be the last. My gel mani looked like my 10 year old did them. Gel was lumpy, had air bubbles, and was peeling by day 5. I didn't have time to get them fixed because I was in between business trips. This review is delayed because I had hoped to have the manager return my call after hearing of my experience. I took my 4 daughters for mani's/pedi's prior to our June beach trip. Four of us had a pleasant experience; however one nail employee was so bad with my 21 year-old that she tainted the entire salon visit for all. I paid our $290 ($240 and $50 tips)in advance and left early, thus I had to hear of this horrid experience secondhand from my 3 other daughters. After waiting 40 minutes following her pedicure for acrylic nails, the nail employee rudely told my daughter she can't do acrylic and unless she wanted to wait much longer she could have gel which 'is same price' (actually $10 additional we discovered). The employee was very unprofessional, yelling across the salon and treating my daughter very poorly. She stayed on a loud Facetime call with her child the entire session, not paying attention to the manicure, thus giving my daughter multiple cuts. She did nothing to contain or stop bleeding which is a health code violation. Although my daughter was very clear as to how she wanted her nails, the resulting nails were all different lengths with no shaping. After the employee finished the painting, she left the nails drying and did not return. (My daughter finally left after 30 minutes) I would NOT recommend this salon for fear of receiving this kind of treatment. read more

My daughter went to Classy Nails to have her acrylics removed. She came home in tears and in much discomfort. She said that her nail tech, who did not give her name, was in a hurry and didn't do the removal correctly. Her nails were not soaked in acetone long enough. They used a drill/bur to cut the nails off. My girl said that she kept telling the tech that she was hurting her. They used sand paper on her and she now has road rash on her fingertips. Her nails are now very thin and rough. There are chunks missing from her nails where nail bed is showing. I am hoping that she does not get an infection or lose a nail. My dogs are better taken care of next door. read more

I called ahead of time and asked if they had any open spots and they said yes come on i . So i get there and tell them i want to get acrylic nails and they send me to one side of the building. The nail tech was a woman, she never told me her name. She told me to go ahead and pick a color, but i could tell she was talking about me the whole time to another worker because she kept looking me up and down and laughing and then taking to the other lady. She then proceeded to tell me she didn't know how to do acrylic and that someone else would take me. So this man come over and doesn't even tell me where to go just says come. So here i am trying to find out where I'm supposed to be. The man didn't talk to me the whole time he was doing my nails other than asking if the length was okay. He was also so rough with my hands that i have slices in my fingers from the shaving tool that he used, some of my nails are crooked, there was a ton of polish on my fingers and some parts of my nail aren't even colored. I had a gift certificate that my sweet husband gave me for Christmas but I feel like it's been wasted of a half done crappy job. The girl that did my nails didn't do what I asked and just all around sucked. I used to like going to classy nails but I won't be going back after tonight. They were not shaped the way I wanted them and when I mentioned about them being to long the nail tech made a comment about how she couldn't go any shorter and when the girl tried making them shorter she ended up making them different shapes. I will NEVER go back after giving them multiple chances to improve over this pandemic year. Went last week and my gel manicure had chipped after 3 days and so did the deluxe regular pedicure. Told the same girl that wanted the gel removed and got a regular pedicure and manicure. I want to be able to quickly remove the polish at home after it chips....she spent lots of time trying to tell me she would fix it....no. And that was after the manager filled the tub of the pedicure chair with freezing cold water....when I jerked my feet out in shock the manager yelled at me very loudly and rudely for dripping about 2 oz. of water on his floor. I didn't ask for any free services or a discount or anything.....I paid cash for the whole service and tipped the girl....but the service there has really deteriorated and they really don't want to do regular manicures and pedicures....they want to give at least a deluxe pedicure and manicure....and really prefer to do gel for their time.....they don't want to provide basic services. There are plenty of nail salons in Huntsville that I can go to without torching myself going to one that really doesn't want my business or my cash! Will NEVER go back! read more

Yes, they were pretty right after they'd been done, but... it doesn't really count for much when they start coming off in less than 7 days. I drove to this salon based on reviews, and was sorely disappointed. The salon is lovely; well-lit, huge, and with a great selection of polish. It's so big, though, that it's run like a pit at a NASCAR race -- the entire time I was there, the woman in front was yelling to nail techs about where to be and directing clients with numbers to find their chair (I was in 26). Despite having an appointment, I waited almost 30 minutes with my feet in the water to have my tech show up. A nice guy, he spoke almost no English, so our communication was limited. The process was great, but it was probably the worst polish job I've ever paid for... The polish quite literally didn't get to the end of my toenails, and was so heavy it bubbled. Again, despite having an appointment, the yeller in front apparently didn't communicate that I also wanted a manicure, so after I reminded him he rushed through it like no one's business. Again, the process was fine, but with the bubbling and not covering my nails I should've just skipped the polish. I won't be going back, but I guess if you're close enough it's fine. read more
