For gas station food this stuff hits. If you're in a pinch I def recommend this food.

Store hours says it closes at 9:30 I got there at 9:05 and she locked the door as we pulled into the parking space.

Not what I had hoped for. This fried chicken and wing take out place is tucked behind a gas station, which is fine, but the food is mediocre at best. The chicken is dry and lack flavor. The mash potato side taste of vinegar, and complimentary bread is hard. The chicken parm is a large portion and lot of white meat, but it lacks flavor, cheese and marinara sauce. The best part is this place was the friendly employees. If you eat here, you will reek of smoke. They only have a few tables. They have dipping sauces for 50 cent extra, which will help with the flavor. I haven't tried it though. read more

The fried chicken and ribs are *awesome*! A friend brought Claudie's to a bday party 45 minutes away, and the food could not have tasted better! Where do I even start everything about Claudie's is amazing. The traditional wings are the absolute best thing ever. They have so many options of sauces. The boneless wings are delicious too. They are like big chicken tenders tossed in the sauce. Their French fries are to die for as well. You can get a bucket of French fries which is perfect for sharing. In a million years, I would never have walked in this place: located in a gas station, I assumed it was hot dogs on rollers in there. The friendly and personable owner of Middletown's Sea Breeze Cleaners partnered with former Middletown Chicken Corner Alumni and opened Monmouth County's first chicken gas station joint. The place is still having some growing pains in my opinion like the messy and unorganized front dining area and store shelves filled with take out supplies. Also the laid back co-owner who should be cracking the whip on the 2 guys who were slowly stocking the nearly empty beverage cooler boxes. Maybe get the soda dispenser and that weird microwave milkshake setup going. The chicken was decent and very similar to the old Chicken Corner but I was not impressed. The prices are excellent however even the sides and wings are fair priced. What made me very disappointed was the poorly throughout way they package the food. Primarily a take out place the 4 pieces chicken were placed on a cardboard plate with another stapled on top slid in a paper bag which leaked chicken juice all over my new and expensive car! Overall I will give these guys a 6 out of 10. The idea is good and the food was decent, it's the business organization that is lackluster. I waited nearly 30 minuets for my walk in order, on the other hand that just means it's freshly made. They've been open more than a year and it looks like they are just moving in. With few choices for chicken in our area they should survive but with a few tweaks this place can be a real gem. I have given this place so many chances. After spending over $60 for 18 wings, 2 small dinners I've had enough. Chicken fingers you'd think was a safe bet, buy em frozen stick them in a fryer. BURNT full of grease and a nice piece I'd French fry burnt into one is them. Times are thought but if the majority of your menus is fried, maybe spend a little time and money and change the fry oil. French fries covered in table salt. The last two times we ordered same thing, burnt and greasy. Mushy macaroni and cheese and odd flavored mashed potatoes. Absolutely the best fried chicken anywhere! The smashed potatoes are incredible (garlicky and with the skin, just like I like), the salads fresh and delicious and the cole slaw is wonderful! After reading so many reviews I decided to try it today. I got the two piece white meat meal w mashed potatoes and a side order of corn fritters... Service: nothing spectacular. Woman was just take my order and went to the back. Did not see her again until the 30 minutes I waited when she brought my order out. There were 3 other men working in the kitchen area. Chicken: Good. Not over cooked, crispy. Mashed potatoes w gravy: Very good! Cole slaw: good. The place: Dirty looking. Definitely not an eat in place. If the front of the place looked like that how does the back cooking area look? The place had frequent customers two call aheads. Were blaming grub hub. Employee hung up on my husband. Super slow service every other time we have ever ordered from there as well. We were hoping for a good experience. Went in at 4pm, had to wait 10 minutes, which was fine. We got home, chicken was way overcooked and dry. Not edible. Pieces shrunk to 2/3rds there size. They use Purdue only but ruined it. Not sure why, the Mac n cheese had a funny chemical taste, very subtle but noticable. Kraft in the box is actually better. The cole slaw was very good. First time, last time. KFC is about the same distance going the other way, much better by far. I hate leaving bad reviews. read more

Very large serving sizes, friendly staff, quick service.
