My husband was dying to try this place after seeing the massive sandwiches on social media. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is a classic italian american deli.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The ordering system in the store is a little unorganized, but par for the course with any good deli. You wait in a semi-organized group of people until a guy behind the counter calls next. Then you pay when your order is ready. We ordered a classic italian sub, a chicken vodka parm with broccoli raab, and a philly cheesesteak eggroll. On a relatively empty wednesday it took us about 20 minutes to place our order, and another 10-15 minutes until we paid and were out the door. This is not a quick pit stop place. The sandwiches are huge, but also pricey at ~$20-30 each for a half size. The cutlets on the chicken vodka parm were way too thick. Almost an inch thick! I prefer many thin cutlets. I don't even think they are sliced and pounded thin. The italian was decent but didn't blow us away. Eggroll was probably the best thing we tried. Finally got to drop in on way back from the shore. We got lucky there was only five people ahead of us and ordered relatively fast in 10 minutes. It still took another 50 minutes to get the sandwiches. I'm not sure if someone dropped the ball. There's dozens of amazing sandwiches to order and they're stuffed to the guilds. Talk about Ultimate Gourmet! There are not enough words to describe how much I love Talercios! The hero's are delicious and gigantic! The fried ravs are unbelievable! I had two more sandwiches on my return visit. I had the chalky white and ya sister's a$$. The chalky white consisted of a fried veal cutlet, hot capicola, smoked mozzarella, provolone, muffaletta, and balsamic glaze. This was obviously stuffed to capacity and very solid. I would have liked more balsamic glaze and muffaletta as that was a very nice balance with the meats and cheeses. The thin cut capicola was great and the bread was the key as it held up with everything. The ya sister's a$$ consisted of prosciutto, burrata, fig spread, roasted red peppers, red onion, arugula, and balsamic glaze. Obviously, this was stuffed and well done. I was nearby so went to Taliercio's recently to try something new there, the Ellis Island hero. It's a combination of their Italian & American heroes. I would have ordered online to avoid any possible wait to order but I didn't see the Ellis Island as an option. Fortunately, it was about 2:45 so I "only" waited 10 min for someone to take my order & prepare my beast. I would have left if it had one of their notorious large lines. :( The sandwich, as expected, was too big to eat as is without figuring out how to unlock my jaw. It weighed just short of 2.5 lb for a half hero. Once I got home, I deconstructed it so I could eat half of the half hero now & rest later. I didn't see any pricing anywhere but also didn't look too closely at all the menu boards. The 2.5 lb hero set me back $23.45 which appears to have saved 50 cents vs their 3rd party online ordering options. Still think the ordering process needs much improvement. read more

Came here on a Sunday. There was a long line, waited about an hour. They gave out samples of their fried raviolis. I ordered the Vinny black which is a cheesesteak with a sheet on top and bottom of fried mozzarella for the bun. I also ordered the Moe mans ragu which has fried raviolis, sausage, meatballs, Braziole, marinara, fresh mozzarella, parmigiana reggiano all on prosciutto bread. The last one I got was the Ruvolo which has the ruv sauce, chicken cutlets prosciutto, fried eggplant, fresh mozzarella and balsamic reduction. On our way back to New York from Florida I'd seen this place on fb and wanted to stop by. We rang the bell and got awesome fried raviolis sauce was good and the filling was abundant. Thoroughly enjoyed. I got the American which is the sandwich I get at the deli near my house. This one had a lot more meat but I like Swiss over American cheese. The vinegar dressing is tasty. My son got the sus and it was also a huge portions lots of flavor huge chicken cutlets. The tomato sauce "gravy" was very good. He also got Caio Zella it had chicken ravioli and a lemon dressing it was great flavor. Portions were huge we only had a 1/2 and it was still enough for three meals. We also took the Stromboli meatball abd chicken parm. They look good I'll report when we eat them in taste. Also the licorice was great better than twizzlers. Drove 300 miles round trip and it was more than worth it. Holiday weekend the line was long but moves at a good pace. Wow, what an experience! My husband and I went with a couple of close friends, and it was seriously one of the highlights of our day. We even got to meet Chef Eric and Vinny, chat a bit, and take pictures. After watching so many of their Facebook videos, actually being there felt unreal and so exciting! After seeing these guys on Instagram every day for the past month, there was no way I was going to miss visiting Taliercio's while I was in Jersey It was totally worth the 4 Hour drive to get there I ordered the New Jersey Turnpike and Francesca's favorite to go. These are huge sandwiches so I figured I would eat them over the weekend. The New Jersey Turnpike breakfast wrap was the meatiest thing I've ever eaten. It had pork roll, bacon, cheese, and scrambled eggs with ketchup. I could've fed four people with this thing. We got the Philly cheesesteak and it was probably the best Philly cheesesteak I've had in a while.The service was great- they gave out fried ravioli while we waited in line for our sandwiches. The line when we went (and probably all the time) is pretty long. We were going to try different sandwiches but since the line was long and we were hungry we did the Philly cheesesteak since they were making batches of those faster than the other sandwiches. I won't lie the price coming out to a bit over $50 for two sandwiches did throw me off a bit (I don't look at the prices before going), but you do get good quality meat, bread, etc and it was huge - I could only eat a half. Taliercio's was a religious experience for me. I got the spinatto. The pesto was so freakin phenomenal. I regularly eat Italian meats in my sandwiches but this was hands down the best meat I have ever had. I think I saw God when I tasted that salami. It's so soft and sweet but balanced perfectly with acidity. They had me believing so I did something crazy and got the fried ravioli. It's definitely not jersey mikes even tho it's in jersey and they have at least 3 employees named Mike. Door to sandwich was around 45 minutes on a Sunday at 1:30 and it was mildly chaotic at times. It's a deli, not a restaurant so you order like it's a deli but without a ticket number. When we finally got to the counter and met our artisan he tossed us a few fried ravioli to snack on while we waited. They were really tasty even though they were cold and the gesture was quite thoughtful given the long wait times. The sandwiches were incredibly fresh and absolutely massive. We're talking 90s SNL Ditka heart attack specials, the way it should be! My sandwich had enough meat that I saved half, deconstructed it and made 2 sandwiches for the wife and I the next day! We watched the artisan cut the romaine fresh for the Caesar salad; once again-absolute freshness. But because of that you sacrifice efficiency and you get longer wait times. The store itself had tons of great grocery options and the prepared meals looked out of this world. They had already cleaned the slicer and only had limited options. After explaining our situation (this was our only opportunity in who knows how many years before we make it back), they reopened everything for us!!! We ordered 3 Giant sandwiches, egg rolls & drinks to go. As we walked out the gave us a free tee shirt! Staff was friendly and the food was delicious. As the summary of the deli goes and like all the images you see, yes, their subs are "meat loaded." A whole sub is $33. For all that meat, I guess it's priced appropriately, but it's still expensive. I gave them 3 stars, which I think is neutral. Yup, $99. Ordered some extra bread anticipating too much meat. The deli meat was sliced well. One of the subs had chili flakes and peppers, which we asked them to not put on, so the sub was not eaten because it was impossible to take off. I'm not a fan of that much meat on a sandwich, so for that reason and my personal preference, this place is not for me. Someone who prefers more meat on a sandwich would love this place. I've been seeing this place on social media for weeks. Today I took the journey to check them out. Once I placed my order an E-TAL! which is veal cutlets, hot sopasada, ricotta and marina sauce. It was less than 10 minutes. Food was amazing and still plenty hot enough when I sat down to eat. Now the bad part, from the time I walked in the door and sat to eat was an hour.
