Half Carroll Gardens and half Stefano very good!
    Jennifer T.

I haven't been here in a year, and decided to go for some pizza today. I ordered the Carrol Gardens and half margarita with extra cheese pizza. Today the pizza was disappointing. It was undercooked making it soggy in the center of the pizza. I paid for extra cheese and there was no extra cheese. They use to pack the Carrol Gardens pizza with vegetables, but today the toppings seemed skimpy. I'm not sure if this was an off day.

My fiancée wanted to try Zoni's because they offered a gluten-free crust. We came here with some friends and ordered the fried calamari, large buffalo wings, fried mozzarella triangles, vongole, the BQE and 2 Princess Margheritas (reg and gluten-free). Our waitress was very nice and very communicative. The space was nice as well. Overall, everything we ordered was very good. The only critiques I have are there was a longer than expected wait time between the apps and pies and the buffalo wings were a bit spicier than I expected. I had just ordered the vodka sauce pie from Prince Street Pizza in NYC and really enjoyed it, so decided to try theirs. Delicious. I could definitely taste more of the vodka sauce in Zoni's version. Our party definitely enjoyed ourselves here and I'm glad I got to try the food here. I was not disappointed and left a happy customer.

Today's lunch was across the River in New Jersey. This area of New Jersey is full of B class gourmet that is more tasty as every day meal than A class gourmet food. Out of tons of choice, I chose Zonis Coal Fired Pizza in Red Bank. I always order Large pie though I know I can't finish it. I love leftovers for snacks days after. Dough could bake a little more to be crispier but charred edges are just perfect as like this. Because of coal fire charred smells great. I had half mushrooms pie today and this was a perfect pie today. No beer or wine so BYOB here.

Stopped in on a whim on a Thursday evening, while visiting from Maryland. We didn't have a reservation, but owner Rob greeted us warmly, and quickly found a spot for our party of 3. It's BYOB, so we ran over to the liquor store a couple of doors down for a bottle of Prosecco. We had a Margarita and Camilla personal pizza, and Cesar salad; also had the Calamari appy. The food was terrific; fresh quality ingredients, perfectly prepared. I would be remiss if I didn't mention our server, Sabrina; she was friendly and very attentive (and it was busy!). If you're looking for a great meal in Red Bank, you should definitely try Zoni's!

First of all, there was a little kids birthday party here and it was LOUD. This is clearly not the restaurant's fault but wow was it loud. I wish we could have sat outside but it was a bit chilly. We started with a 'Watermelon Mint Cooler' and 'Frozen Strawberry Margarita' - both were mocktails. They were both delicious and refreshing. My husband got the meatballs for his appetizer and I got the Caprese salad. He loved the appetizer and I loved mine. You cannot go wrong with Caprese salad in my opinion. For our entrees, he got the 'Bistecca alla Pizzaiola" which was a steak with tomato, garlic and red wine with potatoes. It was really good. The steak was very tender. I got the 'Ravioli Limoncello' which was Ravioli in a Lemon cream sauce. I am not a huge lemon fan but this was great. We ended with the 'Carrot Cake' and the 'Toasted Almond' cake - both were delicious as well. Everything was great. The service was quick, attentive and very friendly. I would definitely come back and would recommend. Next time though, I'm sitting outside if I see a big party though!

Needless to say I ordered the cod with what was supposed to be a hassleback potato. The Cod had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. I gave it a one star just because presentation was beautiful, but that potato was so dry and overcooked no flavor whatsoever completely shocked at how bad it was. Now onto the real horror story my wife's pasta supposed to be a lemon infused. It tasted like it came from the garbage of the sea. It was so disgustingly potent. I don't know how anyone could eat it. My wife took a few bites and she's not one to complain, so she just took it home and threw it away but what a waste of money and time. Then the kicker John, the general manager decided maybe because we didn't order appetizers or desserts just $200 with the 4 of us for entrees . He told us you had a nice meal. Have a great night and basically told us we had to leave without telling us we had to leave. I don't think we had been there more than an hour. Very uncomfortable I will never be back personally. Since it's farm to table, the menu changes frequently. We got the crudo for our starter and it was very refreshing. For entrees, I ordered the cavatelli and my husband ordered the rigatoni. The rigatoni was delicious! I was hesitant bc the sauce was sweet red pepper based but it was very savory. The cavatelli was okay, it was a dry pasta dish I wish it was a little saucy. Nonetheless we had a great experience! It's BYOB and there's a liquor store a block away which is convenient.

The place is busy, we were seated and waited again for a waitress. The waitress was excellent, very personable and on point for her job. There were long periods between her table visits adding to my less than excellent review. Food wait felt long too and one other shortcoming, the Mrs. Wanted a pina colada and she was denied this drink. Understandable but disappointing that they can't make basic requested cocktails. I got the chicken parm, I really wanted something more creative but this place has a limited menu. I got spaghetti with my meal and the pasta was lacking sauce and there was that telltale rim of water telling me the pull the pasta and do not drain it adequately. Unsure if my experience there was a result of the late night dining or if the same experience exists at 6pm. Hard to have a conversation, and lighting was quite dim (see photos) but it made it romantic and made you focus on your food and the vibes. Server Casey was stellar; plates were cleared promptly, our table was cleaned between courses, and dessert was a full on show! Needless to say service expectations were surpassed. Tomato-tini was served with a caprese garnish and the white lotus (mezcal) cocktail had edible flowers. The tomato cocktail was unlike anything I've ever had. Must order the Nori cones appetizers for incredible taste not just amazing presentation. The Tuna Tartare was served with tempura fried seaweed and was really surprising. The steak was easily the best we've had in the county; we ordered the cowboy and the filet with a side of brussels. Would come back for a celebration or just to feel young again.
