Haddock sandwich and fries.
Steven F.

Ok, when you're at the beach, adequate is perfectly acceptable. Haddock sandwich, the fish was fried very crispy, which was nice. OK fries. Seriously got me ready for the beach.

August 3, 2025 - Yeah, here we are back again today. My family doesn't have much creativity, but hey we liked it so much yesterday, Claws made easy to come back again. I doubled up on the sweet tea today and now it's got me all jittery and skittish. It's the perfect balance of sweet and tea, it's making me sing with glee, swing from the tallest palm tree, clothes off and I am free! Come dance with me, mockingbird, come dance. It's my stance that when I'm standing I'm more commanding of the respect I deserve, and Claws stands on business so respect them! Anyways. Instead of the Jambalaya, I want with the lobster roll today, and a saffron rice side. With the smell of the lobster, it wasn't hard to decide, I had to try it. The rice was delicious like it was last night in my jambalaya. And I'd be a liar to say if my meal wasn't even better today! Holy cowlick on my goggles, the lobster roll was so good. The lobster salad was pure perfection, not one flavor was overwhelming or more than the rest. All together the lobster, the lettuce, the dill and the mayo, aced the test. The roll was a perfect fit for this concoction, it held the meat in place so that I can place onto my taste buds. Holy sizzle, sweet holy sazoodle, and all different words that rhyme with noodle and poodle. Claws is a fan favorite, no question there. I'd slather that lobster salad all in my hair. In fact, I'm still here while posting this Yelp, maybe I'll do it! This place keeps getting better. My rating is butter. Let's go 9.25/10 and next year , we'll back again. NPSwizz August 2, 2025 - Luigi Linguini, I'm back and I'm not done talking smack. The CLAWS are coming out in this one. You're sitting there in a far off island having fun in the sun, while I'm here at the beach, so far out of reach, now let me teach you a thing or two about reviewing, no need for YouTubing. Claws was a hit from the gate. The service was great, my questions were answered with no need to wait. Wait. I'm trying to watch my weight, but I had to do it. A sweet tea, so good with a picture to prove it. Then came meal. The jambalaya was unreal, the spice was a "vibe," yeah I said "vibe" because I'm a cool guy. So cool that I say "bet." My sister's boyfriend says I'm the coolest guy he's ever met. But back to the food. My jambalaya was a jumbo success. So good that it would've knocked off my dress if I were wearing a dress. The chicken so yummy , the andouille a blessing, and I want that saffron rice at wedding. The star of the show was the shrimp for sure, and I wish there were more. I wanted more. I'm a big fat man, feed me my shrimp! I kid, I kid. Not about being fat. I'm fat. But the meal was enough. It filled me right up. I score it an 8.75/10. I'd have it again. This was two of each type of oyster, all fresh and delicious.

Delicious drinks, fresh crabs and oysters, and great service. They easily accommodated my friend and I with handicapped seating. The bathrooms were clean. Our waiter checked in on us just often enough.

Snow crab legs special - 2 pounds
Jodi L.

We enjoy a visit to Claws when in town. They have seating both inside and outside, which is always a welcome treat! They are always consistent with their food from year to year and we enjoy their specials. My daughter and her friend shared the 2 pounds snow crab legs special. It came with two sides and plenty of food for each of them. We always start with the hush puppies, which are crispy and flavorful and come with a great butter. My mom and I decided to split the twin lobster tails which also came with two sides. My dad got the fried oysters which he really enjoyed. I enjoyed sharing his tartar or remoulade sauce! It was briney and full of flavor! The service was good and the server checked on us multiple times. The only complaint I would have is that we were a party of five and we were charged an automatic gratuity for "a large party". She highlighted it on the bill but didn't verbally tell us that she put the charge on there. Normally, a party of eight or more are considered a large party. If you're looking for a good old seafood house, check out Claws!

2lbs crab legs with French fries & hushpuppies $69

It's a cute spot on the Main Street to get to the beach. Plenty of seating outside and inside. Food came out fast and the waitress was nice. I ordered the 2lbs crab legs (wish it had more flavor), my friends ordered the grilled salmon, & a poboy sandwich.

Great service. I got the AYCE Blue Crab and the runner was kind enough to show me the proper way to break down the crabs. Great seasoning and beer!

Mussels in white wine

We dined early, 530 pm but on a Saturday so it was already very busy. We took the last two seats at the small bar to avoid a wait for a table and enjoy all day Saturday happy hour. Bartender was slammed but eventually we were able to order a happy hour beer and a Dark and Stormy cocktail. Husband liked his Atlantico beer, I have never had a worse Dark and Stormy. Sour and dismal, I probably should have sent it back but felt I might never get another. We went straight to entrees, spouse had the happy hour mussels and I ordered the grouper risotto. He was totally happy with the mussels, it was nice to be able to order white wine and not the marinara mentioned on the menu. I loved the grouper fish itself, and it came out blackened as I requested . But it was covered in a over thick, very heavy cream sauce which combined with the creamy parmesan risotto was like having a bowl of fish chowder. I was so disappointed to have this beautiful piece of fish ruined with literally cream gravy. Even if the fish had been placed on top of the risotto, without being covered in the thick gluey cream sauce I would have felt differently. I did eat the asparagus and the fish, but the rest went in the trash. Sorry this dish was not a winner. Based on my drink and meal experience we finished and paid without dessert or another round. Sorry Claws, you didn't earn four stars this time.

Atlantico Beer and peel and eat shrimp

Great Happy Hour!!! Drinks and peel and eat shrimp are my favorite!! Bar tender was very friendly and polite. Atmosphere was also great with the right tone of country music playing in the background. It's our yearly favorite place to visit.

This place is such a vibe! Amazing Maryland blue crabs! Also the hush puppies are a MUST. Don't skip out on this place while you're on the Rehobeth boardwalk such a fun place!

All you can eat crab $49.99
Nichakorn C.

We came for the All You Can Eat crab special priced at $49.99 per person. The crabs were mostly small to medium-sized, but they were incredibly fresh and juicy. The four of us devoured about 3 to 4 dozen crabs in total. I believe it's well worth the price because of the excellent quality of the crab. The only minor inconvenience was the presence of bugs due to dining outdoors. It would be great if they could provide more fans outside to address this issue. However, I must commend the friendly and helpful service. The staff consistently checked on us, ensuring we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Nevertheless, considering the delicious crab, I definitely plan to return next summer!

She made suggestions, checked back, and made sure we had everything we needed. The menu has a variety to choose from and multiple specials. They only offered one type of soup and I would have liked some additional choices. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. They also have happy hour on Sunday The sandwich was a little greasy, but still tasted fine. It was not the chef's fault, since it was grilled and had cheese on it. It was served with potato chips, and I would've preferred a choice instead of chips, but that doesn't seem to be an option. The fish was perfectly cooked and served with fries and coleslaw. My friend said the lobster bisque was delicious. We sat inside since it was a chilly day, but there is an option for outdoor seating. The inside has a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. We had a great visit and definitely plan on eating there the next time we're in Rehoboth Beach!

Wife and I just ate here this evening. Food was ok. Service was bad. We ordered two appetizers,…read morethe clams casino which consisted of 6 clams covered with cheese, bacon and some other things. The other appetizer was called Oysters Asiago which as the name implies, were 6 oysters smothered in cheese, spinach, and onions. Both were ok but just had too much cheese and toppings. The clams were so tiny you almost didn't see them and the cheese and bacon was 95% of each bite. Same story basically with the oysters although the oysters (by their nature) are larger but still too much cheese, onion, etc. Again, not bad but just so much cheese that you couldn't taste any oyster or clam. We both ordered soft shell crab for dinner and it was excellent. Crispy, very flavorful and not too much breading. I would recommend these. Sadly, our server was really bad and that can really leave a lousy impression. Her name was Alodie according to the bill. (although it sounded like Elliot when she said it). We waited about 15 minutes at our table before she first showed up. Once she graced us with her presence, we placed our order and in addition to all the aforementioned food, we also ordered two cocktails and I asked for a glass of water. When appetizers got delivered, she had never provided us with any silverware to eat with or any napkins or small plates. Nothing. We asked for those and she apologized and later brought them over. Then, when our entrees arrived, she still had neglected to bring me a simple glass of water so I asked for it again. She apologized and went to get it. Then, 5 or 7 minutes later, glass in hand, she proceeded to stop at another table and stood there talking to them FOR 15 MINUTES, all while holding my glass of water in her hand. I finally got so angry I just got up from the table myself and went to the bartender and asked him if he could pour me my own glass of water. Why she thought it was a good idea to stand there and yap with a customer for 15 minutes while leaving other customers waiting is beyond me. I would have to guess there were other tables she was responsible for who were also left sitting there waiting. After dropping off the bill, she went back to chat with these same customers again for another 7 or 10 minutes before coming back to retrieve my credit card. Client service is clearly not her strong suit. It's too bad because if the service hadn't been so bad, it might have left me with a different impression but when you are paying a decent amount for a dinner for two, asking for a glass of water shouldn't be a Herculean task. Providing eating utensils, napkins, etc. should also be server etiquette 101. Have provided some photos of the food for anyone curious about our food selections referenced earlier.

I only had the one I paid for. There's no need to lie, bad days happen. This is not a speakeasy, this is a restaurant cosplaying as a speakeasy. That may be a bit harsh, it's a speakeasy in training. Sure, it's got all of the speakeasy decor, blackout curtains over the windows and doors, and a big selection of pedestrian liquor but it's not quite there. We went in on an early evening on Wed and there were maybe 5 other patrons in there. Our waitress was nice and brought us water to the high top. She brought us two food menus, and a specials menu. I asked for a bourbon list and she brought it; no prices on the list. Annoying. On the specials menu there was a small section of manager recommended drinks and one was a Willet. The way it was written was confusing because it said it was both a 4 year and 14 year for $52, so I asked for clarification on the age statement. She took the menu to the barkeep, who confirmed it was a 14 year so I said yes I'll have that. A drink was brought to me, but I could tell from the taste that it was not what I ordered. I asked the waitress for the bottle, she asked the guy behind the bar for the bottle and he pulled down a willet pot still bottle (pot still is the entry level Willet and at best a 5 dollar pour, no where near what I asked for). I told her that I was given the wrong drink, then she approached the bar and between her, and the male and female bartenders they had a weird back and forth conversation. Then, finally they pulled down the bottle that I asked for, that was advertised, and gave me a pour of it. I asked to see the bottle and the waitress brought it over but held it instead of putting it on the table (it was a 13 year Willet, Paper Trail). As we were about to order we were told that they reset the menu the very day before, with the focus of putting more love and care into the food. Feeling good about that, we ordered the French quarter catfish and the bourbon braised short ribs. The corn that came with the short ribs tasted straight out of a store bought steamable pouch, and the "ribs" weren't ribs at all, just sliced meat. The only redeemable thing about the catfish dish was the aioli; the rice had no flavor, the corn was cold and hard, and the catfish was mostly breading. We both took a few bites and resigned. I have been to many speakeasies around the US, and there are common themes: a much better selection of liquor; 95% of the bourbon were low tier bottles you can find in any liquor store for around $50. Also, when customers ask for the bottle, it isn't because we plan to steal it or drink from it, its because we're genuinely interested in the information on the labels. The quickest way to get people to stop spending money is to make them feel as if they can't be trusted touching a bottle. Perhaps it was an off day for the staff and this wasn't a typical experience, but I won't go back.
