But it was a good level of salt. I had them keep the mushrooms off the cheesesteak because no self-respecting vendor adds mushrooms unless you're in Kennett Square. Came in for some dinner with friends on a Friday night. I was hoping for some good food and drinks. Sadly, I did not find that here. Service was great and staff were friendly. The ambiance is very sports bar which was great. However, the food was a disappointing. I had pretzels with cheese and mustard. The cheese had no taste whatsoever. I also ordered a side Caesar salad and there was little to no dressing. I had to double check they didn't forget to add it. For my entree I had the Surf and turf quesadilla. The shrimp was over seasoned and very salty. The sauce that came with it also had no taste. I was expecting more from this place with the good rating it had. Maybe I caught them on an off night. My group grabbed food at Jerk and Jambalaya and we asked if we could bring their food into other restaurants to drink and watch the game. They assured us this was allowed. We walked into the Ale House and ordered drinks, then took out our food. Immediately, the woman at the table next to us starts screaming, "THEY HAVE FOOD!!" The waitress rushes over and tells us we can't bring outside food. We start packing up the food to leave and tell her Jerk and Jambalaya told us we could bring food in here. The woman at the other table yells, "that's BULLSHIT! This is highly illegal!" and then the waitress announces she's telling the manager on us! All of a sudden, the manager is standing behind me as we're packing up our food to leave and again tells us we can't have food in here. Again, we say we didn't know and are leaving. The woman at the table is still screaming and starts pointing at us to tell other tables about what we had done. The entire restaurant is looking at us at this point and it was the most humiliating experience of my life. The waitress and manager did not say a word to the screaming woman, and I'm not sure if she was working for them or if Rehoboth Beach just hates tourists. I certainly will never be back to this place and honestly may never return to Rehoboth Beach. Our group spent the rest of the night ruminating and trying to understand what happened while I tried not to cry. We returned to Jerk and Jambalaya to tell them what happened and they were shocked and apologized. If you're a tourist, go to Jerk and Jambalaya and definitely do NOT come here. read more

Wedged us in at table of 6. I would have waited for larger table to be cleared off but rest of group was hangry and didn't want to wait. Restaurant was not busy at all at this point, but our waitress disappeared for 20 minutes after bringing our drinks. Had to ask a busgirl if she could find her to come take our order. She was very nice, just not very attentive. Mussels were excellent, very generous heaping bowl. Was enough to share with 3 people. Nobody was unhappy with their meal, except for me. I got shrimp Po'boy which menu states "generous heap" of shrimp. There were barely enough to cover the half loaf of Italian bread they were on. The shrimp were delicious..but the po'boy was disappointing. Bread was cold, like they through on grill for a hot second to get the lines on it..or it sat for a long while before it got to me. Seafood pasta was very good. Person in our group who had Vegetarian poke bowl, the over easy egg made stomach very uneasy. Bathrooms were super gross. We were at the bar{four of us} having beers and he flipped out after one of us sat a table to watch the Miami game that he actually put on the tv for us. Tables were empty. One of us took their beer and sat at a table to drink her beer and watch the game. He put the game on a TV that could ONLY be seen from a table against the window (not from the bar). After several beers and us leaving tips after every round, he Totally flipped out about the one person sitting at the table while the other 3 of us stayed at the bar. unacceptable. After a few days of eating food from the boardwalk, I felt like I needed something that wasn't fried. I came and got the fried rice. Now I'm not going to go all Uncle Roger cause fuck that guy after all the shit he said about Cambodian and Laos food... but man, the fried rice here really hit the spot. It did feel a bit oily and mushy, but it's great bar fair...chicken, pork and shrimp... I didn't take the sriracha... but it did have a subtle spicy tang to it... I had ordered it to go but also got a cocktail to tide me over while I waited for my food. I was also on an empty stomach so the alcohol hit a lot harder and that just made the rice even more delicious when i ate it at my hotel room. To be honest, I almost passed on this spot cause it was after 10, everything was closing or their kitchen wasn't opened and when I first came here, there is a sign that says to wait to be seated. Add in the great vibe at the bar, which has plenty of TV's to watch the games, but the staff is great as well. Then throw in some delicious food and you're good to go. The sticky ribs are fall off the bone tender and awesome tasting. The wings are big and meaty, and the trukee sauce is what you want. It's a buffalo Asian sauce. New place for us so we ordered a few dishes: Truckee sauced 8 piece chicken wings, hot, crispy and fresh ($8), $1 up charge for celery, .25 up charge for blu cheese dressing, shaved rib eye steak sandwich with side bag of kettle chips ($17), 6 ounce steak medallion with frites and grilled al dente asparagus ($26), and that yummy blueberry specialty salad ($12). Oh my goshhhh ok We came here during a weekend getaway and pretty late actually bc we ate so much in the afternoon that it took until an ungodly hour to digest all of that stuff to remotely have the ability to eat again. Immediately irish nachos were a must. The nachos are actually slices of mother fucking POTATO. The toppings are delectable, including (obviously) cheese and "white bbq". WTF is WHITE bbq? I don't know but that sauce is fucking magical. We ate the shit out of this. We also ordered the beer pretzels which are long soft warm fluffy pretzel-goodness adorned in salt crystals and accompanied by fondue and whole grain mustard. Also a pink, resembling and very well possibly onions. To finish off, we ordered crispy brussels which ALSO have that white BBQ sauce. Delish. This place had amazing food. Walked in just before 9pm on a Tuesday during the summer season. Place was more or less empty so I grabbed a bar stool. Staff was friendly and quickly gave me a menu and asked me for my drink order. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and it was superb. The meat was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was unique. The staff remained super attentive throughout the meal and I left the place full and happy for under 20$. It should be noted that the place filled up while I was eating and the staff kept up without any issues. We were looking for an "American food place" during our 4th of July vacation in Rehoboth Beach, this one looked exciting (ale-house/indie-bar/trendy restsurant combo). It was moderatly priced ($90 food for three and drinks). The staff was very friendly and always ready to refresh our drinks. The food itself was ok. My wife had the Summer Peach salad, our nephew had the Grillead Peach flatbread, and I had the Berkshire Porkchop with potato salad. The Peach salad was good, but the Peach flatbread was a little "chewey". My porkchop was delicious, but cold and about a third of it undercooked (there was even some red close to the bone). The Rehoboth Ale House was the highlight of a recent trip to RB! We've walked by this venue many times over the years, but on a recent visit decided to stop in on a Friday night for the live music and drinks. We received a very warm welcome from both the bartenders upon our arrival and ponied up to the bar for a spell. The Rehoboth Ale house has an extensive rotating list of craft beer on tap from around the country, with eastern breweries highlighted. In addition to the drafts, bottles of other selections are available. Tastes and small pours are available for the customer who wishes to sample a variety of option. During our impromptu visit we glanced over the food menu and were blown away with the items listed because they were vastly different from usual pub-grub fare we expected (see menu pics). Since we had just eaten, we told the bartender we'd be back the next day for lunch! The next day we were once again welcomed by the bartender, who double as server, and promptly given menus and drink orders taken. Service was spot on throughout the entire visit. In addition to our server, I'm pretty sure the manager and/or chef kept coming by to chat, especially when I shared how amazing the food was! On this visit we had the Irish Nachos, which were delicious! Think nachos, but instead of tortilla chips, potato slices! This was very flavorful, not drowned out with processed cheese, but topped with a homemade white bbq sauce, bacon, and smoked cheddar! To accompany our nachos, we tried the Yard Bird flatbread, which was topped with chicken breast, roasted tomatoes, kale, smoked gouda fondue, pecorino, and mozzarella! This was amazing!! Both these dishes burst with flavor! I look forward to returning to try the crispy Brussel sprouts and the buffalo cauliflower! I was extremely impressed with this place! We arrived on a Thursday night and there was hardly anyone there. Their beer selection was great - they offered a ton of variety which is nice. For a starter, I had the blueberry salad. This came with mixed greens, spinach, red onion, goat cheese, frosted walnut and blueberry-pomegranate vinaigrette. The vinaigrette was absolutely delicious and totally surprised me! The smoked BBQ chicken flatbread was also very flavorful as well. Our whole table enjoyed everything they ordered. We dined in with four children, age 13 and under. Other than the numbness in my legs from the uncomfortable high stool seating, we have no complaints whatsoever. I would've given this place 5 stars, which I've never done, if it weren't for the seating issues. Even the kids mentioned soreness in their legs as a result of the seating. It's been almost an hour and my legs still feel weird. The other patrons were warm, polite and welcoming as well. This is definitely a hidden gem.
