We had my daughter's 6th birthday party here last week. It was easy to book online. I also phoned them many times with different questions and they were patient and helpful. It was nice that we could bring any food and drinks we wanted, even some Champagne and hard seltzer for parents. Cheers to that :) Also, it was nice to have the party at a room separated from the main store. Besides the pottery painting I added cupcakes decorating activity and it was a success. All kids loved it of course! A week after the party, I received a text message that all our pottery was ready and thats so nice too, much quicker than expected. I definitely recommend this place! We loved our time at Clay Monet! My boyfriend wanted to book a private pottery class for the two of us for Valentine's Day. When he went to reserve all of the sessions were booked, so he messaged and they said they would let him know when more were available. They followed through and right when more classes were available, he got a message and was able to book our spot. We had so much fun during our class. The owner was knowledgable and made the class so much fun for us. It was way more difficult than it looked, but with her guidance, our bowls ended up looking fantastic, despite never doing anything like this before. Enjoyed spending some time here this afternoon painting pre-fired pottery. Some items were pretty expensive, considering the size of the pieces. Overall more expensive than other places I've been before. I selected a small vase (in picture) and it was $30. They had a good variety of pieces to choose from as well as paint selections. A few members of our group had to ask for thinner paint after starting their project unfortunately since it was very thick and difficult to spread evenly. The workers were quick about thinning the paint upon request. They had a good sized studio that easily accommodated most group sizes, with tables to seat 6-14. Excited to see how my piece turns out after being in the kiln, however they said it may take 2 weeks. Some of their pieces come from other countries, mine was actually from China. This was slightly disappointing because I thought it was a local type place, and considering the price. They take walkins which is nice. read more

I called to make a reservation on what I thought would be a busy day--just as the web site says to. I called during business hours and got voicemail. Left a message. Never got a call back. I called the following day and the woman who answered was rude and said she has been too crowded all day to even listen to voicemails. We arrived and expect the place to be packed. No other customers were even there. The woman who ran the register was rude and didn't seem to care about being polite and helpful to customers. I was told by one person working there to pick up in 7 days. Nothing else was told to me when I paid. I went there 8 days later and was told I will receive a call when ready and it takes 7-10 days. Finally got a call for pick up 11 days later. Just over all a frustrating experience due to one very rude person working there. The other two workers I encountered seemed nice. read more

If you love painting, doodling, or just wasting time then this is the place to be! My friend and I were in the mood for a "paint your plate" type place. We looked up a few places, but this one had the most information and we stopped by. Prices aren't bad. You can create your own masterpeice for as little as $5. Some molds cost as much as $100. It's completely up to you and your wallet. I picked out a large square plate for $25 and used their stencils to make it into what I call a fish dish. It's really a plate, but I painted it two-toned and put a orange and yellow gold fish in the center. I took my sweet time and we were easily there for a couple hours. It was actually very relaxing and therapeutic. This store would be great for a girls' outting. A week later our projects were done and the results are fantastic. I love my plate so much. They glazed and baked it, so it came out very glossy and the colors are brilliant. Plus, it's dishwasher and microwave safe. Couldn't be happier. read more

This is the 2nd pottery painting party my daughter had and this year we had it at Clay Money from a friend's suggestion. Reserving a party is so easy with their website calendar. You select the party package and put a $25 hold on your credit card (they will charge this amount if you are a no-show. Its not a deposit). A staff person will call you a week before to confirm the party and get a final count. We arrived for the party and 3 female high school staffers took over. They were very good with the kids and managed the party well - I was impressed. This was a party for 6-8 year olds and we painted for over an hour. We had enough time to have snacks and drinks. I could've tried to squeeze in the cake and song but I just let the kids be...Everyone was having fun. read more

Clay Monet is a great place for both of all age kids and adults! We have had three parties there for my daughters at different ages and it is always a hit. My middle school Girl Scout troop took the wheel throwing class and thought it was fantastic! They got hands on individual instruction on the wheel, and time to paint a tile. Then came back to paint their custom wheel pieces. I have also gone with friends for adult nights out to paint more complicated pieces, and it's a great place to hang out, laugh and unwind!! I've been here twice with my teens - one boy and one girl. They both love it, as do I. They have all types of items to paint for all budgets. The owner is very sweet and helpful to the kids and to very unartistic me. We've been here as little as 45 minutes and as long as 2 1/2 hours and she is very upbeat and helpful ever time. She charges no studio fees and has stencils, stamps, paints and all types of pattern ideas. She even does events like birthday parties for up to 25 people and charges no extra fees. I was in yesterday had a small issue but the owner resolved it immediately, she was very understanding and helpful. Clay Monet is a fairly big place, reasonable prices. My favorite thing was they had spinning disks to put your pottery on to help you paint easier. They also have pottery classes to learn how to spin your own pottery as well. From what I understand you do need 8 people so I am hoping that I can find a way to try a class. They have a ton of options to paint, and are open pretty late on the weekends (until 8) which is also an added bonus. Also I didn't know they are a small business owner, which I am a big fan of so I will definitely bring my kids back! read more

I love the idea of Clay Monet, but am less than impressed with the delivery. I bought a Livingsocial deal for a pottery throwing class and had a lot of trouble booking it. I had to keep calling back to try to set up an appointment and had to reschedule twice due to classes being canceled unexpectedly because not enough people singed up. We were finally able to sign up for a class at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. We arrived early like it says to on the website and to our surprise, no one was there. They didn't open until 10:00. We wandered around the nearby stores until someone showed up. I thought that was very unprofessional to schedule a class at 9:30 and not have anyone working. I enjoyed the class very much and thought the instructor was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Upon the conclusion of the class, we were told we would get a call in about 4 weeks to come back to paint. We were in at the end of November which made the 4 weeks right before Christmas. I was willing to give them some leeway, but I knew I wasn't going to get a phone call. I didn't. I called in early January, only to have someone have to call me back because she wasn't familiar with the space and didn't know where our pieces were. Then when I did get the call back, she said our pieces had been done for a while and we could come in and paint at any time. I don't understand why I did not receive a phone call when they were done. My friend and I were there to paint today, and again, I enjoyed it. I am just very underwhelmed with the professionalism of this place. read more
