Not only was Dr. Dixon helpful in explaining the situation but he also took the time to show me my 3D scanning on my wisdom tooth along with the nerve running along my jaw. Due to the proximity of the nerve to the tooth, they were unable to do the extraction procedure then and there, however he did not hesitate to write me a referral to an oral surgeon. Needless to say, I was able to get all 4 wisdom teeth out in the same day and am now recovering!!! I will 100% be coming back to NKC Dental when my next check up is due. However, when I went to the appointment at this office, I was not aware that the in-network dentist was no longer practicing at Village Dental. Because the Dentist I saw was out of network, the billing clerk presented me with a full bill without any insurance deductions. It did not help that the dental techs added enhanced cleaning services without asking me about it first. I asked why the bill could worked through with insurance first and then sent to me for payment and the billing tech was not able to give me any practical explanation and demanded payment. I paid the bill and then I called my dental insurance company while I was in the parking lot and the insurance company explained that the dentist that did my check up was not in-network. When I went back in the dental office to ask, the receptionist simply said they had never heard of the in-network dentist I spoke of. Also, when I went back inside, I had to remind the receptionist that she did not give me a receipt or anything explaining the services that I received. She responded that they only provide that documentation if you ask for it. I would think after paying almost $400 it would be an offered courtesy. Overall, I learned a few lessons here, but this is not a practice I will use again or recommend. One of the worst for all easily avoidable reasons.

I was a patient in this office for years when the Dentist was Dr, Scott Keith and they were a marvelous office in every way. Then he sold the practice and the new owner became deceptive to patients. I had new dental insurance and I called the office and talked with Nicole to confirm they took this insurance. My primary interest was in getting my teeth cleaned but they told me I needed to have a dental exam in conjunction with the cleaning. I asked Nicole to check with the Insurance company to be sure that the cleaning as well as the exam were going to be covered. She guaranteed me that the insurance company had assured her twice that this was the case. She did this twice on the phone and again in person when I arrived at the office. I showed up for the Appt and they took x-rays and then the dentist came in to show me a cavity. Then I was escorted to the front desk where a treatment plan was presented to me that included this cavity and. a "deep cleaning". There was going to be a charge for the "deep cleaning" of hundreds of Dollars. I asked to return to the hygienist so that she could complete the basic cleaning. I was told no. Then the hygienist finally came out and also said NO. I did not get the service I had made the appt for. To me this is the basic "bait and switch" and it is quite clear they never intended to complete the basic cleaning that I had made the appt for. and clearly intended to upsell me to a "deep cleaning" There are many dental offices in the greater Phoenix area who are honest and treat patients with respect. Now it's under Dr. Grutter, and he is exceptional. I had a crown put in when I was living in NYC from 2012-2016, and moved back to KC last year. Dr. Grutter took off the crown, remolded a new one, and I was out of there in less than two hours. He makes the crowns on the spot. He is so easy to talk to and you can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. The girls at the front desk are super friendly, always greeting with a smile, and very professional. It is also a kid friendly office, and with a younger new dentist, it's a good place to start your kids so that they can have the same dentist for the next 30 years. Don't go anywhere else. You'll regret it like I did!

They said zero cavities, no micro cracks, and no periodontal issues. NOW THAT IS SOME BULLSHIT!!! This Dentist office are a bunch of scammers, and real pieces of shit to do this to their customers.
