After using my vehicle to haul home improvement tools and supplies , the last thing I I wanted to do was detail my car myself. I paid for a full tank and bought the express wash and proceeded to go to the car wash once I was done. I used my own towels to dry off my car. And then when I was using the vacuum, a man came over and told me that I had to pay $35 to use the vacuum cleaner, which is outrageous. I told him I paid, and he was extremely rude and dismissive, and then proceeded to walk away unless you're in a real bind and need just the simplest of services you can use the express wash, or I would just go across the street to the ducky you can get a full month for twenty five dollars, instead of having to deal with rude customer service and poor dirty equipment. We came here to get our giant truck hand washed for the first time. My husband was very hesitant to have anyone else wash it for us, but we were pleasantly surprised. They were attentive, the staff was careful and friendly. When we asked them to go back over some areas they were happy to help. The price was very reasonable and we were happy to give them a big tip. There were a couple areas on the windshield where the water had dried and it left spots, but next time if we see that we'll point it out and I'm sure they'd clean it. I used to love this place but the last few times I've come to get my car washed have been terrible experiences. Today the automated wash ripped the back cover off of my driver side mirror. When I brought it to their attention, the immediate response it that its not their fault and it probably came in that way. I was so offended. This is my BRAND NEW CAR. I insisted that they find the cover before another car came thru the wash and either ran it over or the machinery broke it. They glanced around and told me it wasn't there and basically called me a liar. After much insistence that we keep looking, they found it. Then the manager tried to blame it on my NEW car saying that it was "worn out" and he proceeds to try and shove the cover back on. Before he could destroy it, I took it from him and reattached it myself. I am very disappointed. I do not recommend using their wash anymore. read more

I'd been there before they closed for a. month or so to add some new vacuums And it was reasonably priced and they did a good job. TodayI wanted $40 in gas. It only took $20. The car wash prices were as much as or more than autotopia and they did a crappy job. Water spots on windows and sunroof. To make matters worse when I went in to tell them my car only needed $20 he said don't worry the credit card will reflect that. Just got home and my card was billed $84.98. Upon arriving I waited on the line (mind you it Was EMPTY) about 6 gentleman just either sitting, standing or on their phones. Stayed there about 5 min until someone decided to acknowledge us. Great wash and attention to detail! I just moved to the area and have been looking for a good car wash business for my Ram 1500. I had a moderate amount of dog hair in the carpeted flooring and wasn't expecting it all to be vacuumed out and honestly wouldn't have minded if it wasn't because I know what a pain it is to vacuum. After the vacuum it looks like there was never a dog in my truck! The interior was cleaned very thoroughly and the windows were spotless. CCWD website will give you a $5 coupon for washing your vehicle here as well as other car washes in the Concord area but the convenience about Clayton Car Wash is that the coupon can be used any day of the week as opposed to Monday-Thursday like the other car washes. So I'll admit right off that I'm writing this review out of spite. Today is Saturday. I had my Jeep washed at Clayton Car Wash last Thursday, so it's been roughly a week. Overall the car looked great (Bronze Wash), but silly me I didn't bother to check the far back section of the car. When I finally had reason to open it earlier this week I found that they'd failed to vacuum it. I'd have gone back sooner but it rained most of this week. Finally went by yesterday. Car wash still closed but the main guy with whom I dealt with last week was there. I wasn't even looking for them to vacuum it, I just wanted him to know that it was missed so that his employees would be aware and do a better job in the future. He seemed immediately suspicious and asked if I had a receipt. No I didn't save the stupid receipt. He then starts saying that it's been over a week, implying that it could have gotten dirty again in a week's time. I told him that the rest of the car looked great and still looks great; that I wasn't looking for anything yet he still acted like I was trying to pull a fast one or something. Yes, because I have nothing better to do than to try and get my car re-vacummed for free. Anyway, if he'd been nice about it, apologized, or sure, maybe offered a coupon for a vacuum (just good business) I wouldn't have written this review. So yeah, spite. I admit it. Came here on a sunny Sunday morning. They are located on a busy main street at a gas station. I was lucky the place wasn't super busy just yet. The staff was polite and didn't try to push me into buying the most expensive car wash package or anything like that. I waited on my car for about 30-45 minutes. For a while only 1 person was drying/detailing but eventually someone came to help and the sped things up. But it was worth it. They vacuumed, whipped down the interior as well as the exterior and also provided a nice air freshener. The gentleman let me examine the car prior to leaving and I was happy, so happy I gladly left a 45-50% tip. Don't be that person that leaves these hard working people a couple bucks, they really did an amazing job. read more

I was skeptical to visit this car wash as there were no other vehicles being cleaned but I needed a wash. My vehicle was dirty. tl;dr: I accidentally bought an expensive car wash, they wouldn't refund my money, I was told I could redeem the wash after the expiration date, when I tried to do so the owner refused to honor his employee's written word, and refused to refund my money. A similar thing happened to my fiancee last year. The long version: After hitting the wrong button on the gas pump and buying an expensive car wash back in May, I headed in to see the attendant. Imagine my surprise when he couldn't just refund the money; only his boss, the owner, could do that. His boss was apparently unreachable, but Raphael assured me that I could use my car wash another time. I told him I wasn't in the area often (at least not when they're open; my work schedule is crazy) and wouldn't be able to use it in the next 30 days before it expired. He assured me it would be honored whenever I came in, and at my request wrote "good" on the receipt and signed it, saying that would be enough. I've been past a few times since, and of course they weren't open. Fast forward to today, when I went to get my car washed. The attendant informed me the expiration date was past. I explained all of the above. She said (very politely) that it didn't matter; the expiration date was past. I asked her to call the owner and spoke to him. I explained the situation again; he asked to talk to Rose. She took the phone to Raphael, who was apparently in back, and he reported a different version of the conversation where he said no such thing. The owner then informed me that he'd spoken to Raphael, who had never said any such thing. I clarified that I was speaking to the owner, that he had the ability to waive the expiration date, and that he was refusing to do so because he didn't believe me. (I used the term "liar," he said he wasn't calling me a liar, but that he'd heard from Raphael that no such thing had ever been said to me.) We went back and forth on this for quite some time, with him prevaricating on side issues rather than answering my question about whether or not he would honor his employee's word or refund my money. Eventually he responded that I was correct: despite owning the place, being able to do so (with no more cost to him than it would have had if I'd come by before the expiration date), and understanding the circumstances, he refused to either honor the wash or refund my money. As an added complaint, my fiancee bought a car wash a year or so ago and when he tried to go by the next day was told by the owner that you had to use the car wash when you pumped gas, despite what the receipt said. read more

I have been going here for over 10 years and the service has certainly declined while the prices have inclined! I went yesterday an hour before closing waited in line and somehow they began servicing a car that pulled up at least 10 minutes after I did. The manager was rude argumentative and unapologetic. They do a way better job than Autopia, and are much cheaper. Plus, there's nobody there trying to up-sell you to a wax or tire treatment. You order and pay at the window. Go to the Rain & Shine Car Wash website and download a coupon for $13.99. Same owner as Rain & Shine Car Wash down the street, so coupon works at either location. Tip well... these guys work hard so you can have a clean car for the weekend. Minimum tip should be $3-5. Don't be a cheap-a$$. Minus two stars because they need to learn how to put your car mats back in properly. Plus one star because they cleaned them well. read more

This car "wash" was was terrible. First, the people working there had horrible communication skills that ranged from simply not responding, to staring at me through my car window to get my receipt (instead of just asking for it), to plain rudeness. Second, my car wash was terrible. I paid $16 and the inside of my car is still dirty and the outside is not completely clean either. The vacuum job was done halfway. The entire job on the inside was very minimal. Additionally, the tires were still very dirty. I even found bird poo on the outside of my car right afterwards. When I asked the man to further clean the inside of my car he sort of vacuumed it a tiny bit more, and then when I asked him if he was completely done (because it really wasn't clean in there), he just said "we only have two people working today". Oh, I didn't realize that I wouldn't get what I paid for because you're busy today. Got it. No tip for them, and most definitely no return trip for me. Very disappointing. read more

I would suggest that you go here well before closing time. I don't know when the car wash actually closes but apparently if it's close to closing time you're out of luck. I paid for my wash and pulled into to vacuum area for service. Each dude or there was doing something on their phone as if there was not a customer there for service. One guy even got up like he was going to start, saw the others and decided he needed to get out his phone as well. I didn't have a problem with a refund. They didn't wash the top of my car. Usually they get up on the walk on each side of the car and wash the top. This time no one put soap on it with the brushes, it got wet from the spraying water and when they wiped the water off that's how it was washed. It has streaks. Second they didn't get the bugs off the front or the back of the mirrors. Two weeks ago they did a great job and they had a line of cars to be washed. This time not so good. No one was there but me so you'd think you would get a great wash. For $16 you would expect a better wash. read more

I went for a car wash but told them that I'd be drying my car myself so I can check their work. I drove to the parking lot next to them and when I got out there was soap all over my car. I went right back to show them and the head guy said in his " I don't speak English" voice, " you drove off so we couldn't dry it". I said back to him" what part of my English do you not understand" as he stood there with a stupid look on his face. My being Mexican American I have sympathy for latinos trying to work an honest living but this guy fucked that all up. He told me to just leave as he waved his hand to go. This place is awesome. If you are trying to find it, look for the Chevron station--I don't even think there's a sign that says Clayton Car Wash. I think this is a well-kept secret because more people seem to go to Autopia only a few blocks away, which is more crowded and expensive. It is nothing fancy, the waiting area is some folding chairs outside, but they do have a restroom. You can get a coupon from their website at http://ebiwash.com/coupon.php (you must print it, not just show on your phone) for a $14 wash, which is the best deal anywhere. Without a coupon it is $16 with gas purchase or $17 without--still not bad. I have been twice and they did an excellent job--car looks great inside and out. This is a good place! I fill up with Chevron and get $2 off or $15.99 and they do a very good job. You can get more detailing for more money but the basic "Bronze" service has always been quite adequate for me. Car looks like new and the windows are washed inside and out. read more
