I am very angry with this shop, Concord,. I was told Tuesday evening that it was fixed that they just wanted to test drive it again Wednesday morning. It wasn't test drive it Wednesday morning. I drove out of the parking lot and the trani slipped. It slipped 4-5 times in the time it took me to turn around and go back to Stress Free (what a joke). The guy behind the desk said they checked the trani fluid and it was full. Then he said that I should have my mechanic tow it to him. By ommission they lied to me. I was able to get 110 miles with it slipping constantly on back roads before I had to get a tow. Stress free KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON‼ I should have been told about it. UPDATE: third appointment for oil change and 60k diagnostic. Same detailed attention to every aspect of the vehicle and systems. Thorough assessment of "needs immediate" attention and "needs attention within 5k or 10k miles." Besides the quality work the staff are great and very hospitable. Clean waiting room, clean bathroom, free WiFi and snacks, coffee and water. Found this service center from a Yelp search for oil change and tire rotation and given my experience today for a simple oil change, I would highly recommend Stress-free. Their online booking and consistent communication is excellent. The service manager Rhett was friendly professional, and clear explaining the results of the inspection performed during the oil change service. I had a very disappointing experience with Stress-Free Auto Shop. On July 24, I spoke with two different employees before scheduling my appointment. I explained in detail that windshield washer fluid had accidentally been poured into my Chevy Bolt's brake fluid reservoir. Both of them assured me that they could definitely fix it. We discussed the pricing, and they told me I could have my car towed there and that the repair would likely take 2-3 hours since they would only need to flush the brake system. I also made it very clear that I needed my car back by Monday. Based on that information, I had AAA tow my car to their shop. After my car arrived, I received a call saying they would not be able to finish it that day and that it would instead be ready on Sunday. Although that wasn't ideal, I agreed. Later, Dustin called and completely changed the story. He told me that if he had known this was the situation from the beginning, he would have said they couldn't do the repair. He explained that he had to speak with the master mechanic because he wasn't able to do the job himself. When I told him that I had already discussed everything with two employees before bringing my car in, he said they were not mechanics and were probably "working on their laptops in New York City answering calls and scheduling appointments." I found that explanation extremely unprofessional and irresponsible. Customers should not be given assurances about repairs if the people making those promises are not qualified to determine whether the work can actually be done. Because of the misinformation I received, I lost valuable time. I could have taken my car to another repair shop on July 24 instead of having it towed here. Instead, I was left without a solution after relying on what I had been told. To make matters worse, Dustin told me it was up to me whether I wanted to leave the car there or have AAA tow it somewhere else. I was very happy they could see me that day. I was visiting from out of town and my check engine light came on. The kid that helped me , Jay was top notch! Knew his job, kept me informed as the day progressed. They sent email updates as well as text, which I liked very much. They even offered to get a Uber if necessary. Because of that great experience, I decided to bring in my Tesla because I thought the brakes might need to be done. I'm just not sure how I feel about this place. I have taken my car in twice now, both times for the check engine light. The first time there was a leak in one of the hoses or something of that sort and they "fixed" for a decent price. It took a whole week but ok at least it was fixed or so I thought. Picked my car up, the day after the check engine light comes on again, I figure it's under warranty so it should be covered, we were told that over the phone and confirmed over the phone about 3 times. Take the car back in and they call us and they tell us what's wrong and say they're going to send us the estimate before starting to work on it, we get the estimate and they're charging for the diagnostic. We ask about that bc we were told several times it would be covered, well it's not. I will say when I went in to pick up the car they helped with that and were able to remove a portion of that charge, so instead of 1300 I paid 1100. One of the other issues was my car needed a new battery so I left and went and got a new battery and had it replaced. Well 2 days later now the check engine light is back. I'm thinking about talking it somewhere that will just give me the code for free to see if it's what they "fixed" or if it's something new and if it's something new I may need to find somewhere new to take it. The person that helped me at the front was very friendly and understanding which is why I say maybe I would recommend, it's just the fact that the check engine light keeps coming on makes me feel like they're not fixing the whole issue. Zero stars!! Do not go here! My daughter and I just moved into town last weekend. Having shakey car issues at the same time I noticed STRESS FREE AUTO right down the street from us. I take my car in.... They CLAIM to have replaced the Engine Coil and the spark plugs... $1,820.00 dollars later, the problem still persists. The scumbag owner told me that his work was covered with their WARRANTY and gave a 10:00 appointment for the flo Saturday. I had to commute ALL WEEK to work in Benicia with my car getting HOT. Waited until Saturday dropped my car at 10:00 ok the spot. Waited 6.5 hours with ZERO updates. Ubered downtown and noticed my car in the EXACT spot I left it at 10:00 am. Called hoping the repairs were completed. The owner tells me they had to look at several cars before ME WHEN I HAD AN APPOINTMENT!!! I picked up my car still not functioning properly and left in tears. DO NOT GO HERE!!! Greasy scumbag charged my 80 year old father (that had to help with the repairs) And NEVER PUT ANY NEW PARTS IN MY CAR!!! He is a janky piece of SHIT. My car is still inoperable, and I will need to get it to a TRUSTED REAL MECHANIC that is not out to rip off single moms and eldery people.... I am warning you... DO NOT GO Here!!! Stress-free auto care was much cheaper and the customer service was terrific! I reached out for a quote which they gave me quickly and then I was able to easily schedule an appointment at a time that worked for me. Dustin Baker the service advisor was so friendly and helpful. I really needed the car done within the same day and even though there was a lot of work to do, he made sure to get it done and kept me updated throughout the day. They provided me with a ride both ways to my mom's house and back. Unlike a lot of places, it was a Lyft so I didn't need to wait around or be shuttled around with a bunch of other people on a long winding ride. While in the office the employee re-checked my service estimate and found my work would cost me less. Then I received a coupon via email and saved an additional $75 for their promotion going on until August. All repairs were completed same day, and my car is running beautifully. From quote to payment I found all staff to be friendly and helpful--and really easy to work with. I highly recommend this company and will be back for future maintenance. I needed an A/C refrigerant recharge. I scheduled an 8 AM appointment and was received immediately upon arrival. The staff was very welcoming and seemed happy with their work. I waited in their well appointed waiting room with phone chargers everywhere, and all you can drink Keurig coffee and snacks. Met some interesting folks while waiting.
