I must say that Clayton Glass and mirror were very friendly, professional, prompt and gave me a quote quickly. Had the best price to get the job done. Also glad I went local. I learned a lot in the process both from researching myself to everyone with Clayton Glass. Anthony was nice and I was able to watch the whole install. Again learn a lot and he showed/talk me how everything was removed and installed. In the beginning I thought of trying to do it myself to save a few bucks but very happy I didn't. Lol. Just FYI, if you call the big window companies their going to sales pitch you into getting all windows replaced. And the ones I talked with don't even do repairs. I took 2 windows to be repaired. One took 2 months but it was the second that I have the largest complaint. I removed a broken window and was going to replace the glass myself. Went to Lowes but they were out of the large size($35.00). Clayton Glass charged me over $100.00. Ok I agreed but after I returned home to re-install the glass I discovered that the parts needed to hold the window in the frame were missing. When I returned to determine what happened I discovered they threw them away? Then some woman charged out of her office like some rabid ferret saying "we can't order those"! Really even though you threw them away? No internet? (I found them in about 2 minutes). No madame there's a different between "can't " and "won't ". I am surprised the rabid ferret didn't suggest duct tape. I have 2 more windows to repair, a tempered glass shelf and a custom cut mirror that I still need but I will be spending my money with a reputable business and I suggest that you do the same. read more

After I accidentally broke the large piece of glass for my wife's framed graduate diploma I went to Michaels at White Oak for a quote on replacing the glass. They wanted to charge me approximately $132 for the glass and a new frame because they said they wouldn't be able to replace the glass without pulling out all the retaining pieces of metal Etc. That seemed ridiculous. The folks at Clayton Glass and Mirror were super helpful from the moment I walked in the door. Their customer service was excellent, the replacement was done quickly, and the price was $36!!!! I enjoyed their company so much that I stuck around to talk afterwards on both visits. They are great folks with great prices and service. I'll definitely go back if I need their services again. read more

So having never had to purchase replacement windows before, I went to the internet to find a local provider in Clayton, NC. I searched online to find out what standard costs were so when I received a quote from Clayton Glass & Mirror that was lower than the "standard" costs, I was thrilled. Not only were they prompt, and friendly, they were coming in at a good budget. Lesson number one: Learn to know when you don't know enough about something to ask the right questions! Here's the right question to ask of someone selling you replacement windows: What exactly will you be replacing? It turns out that in vinyl windows there are several "parts". And when a "Professional" says they are replacing a window, that does not mean what a "Non-Professional" thinks it means. Ask what it means TO THEM! In the long run, I received prompt, courteous service for just a little above the standard cost. So I will NOT complain about their service or their product! It's a matter of a learning experience on my part ... so learn by my mistake and ask exactly what will be done! Thank you to Clayton Glass & Mirror for being prompt, courteous, tidy, and honest.
