I am writing this tonight in disbelief that there are actual businesses out there with the level of unprofessionalism that I witnessed first hand today. Unfortunately, we had an issue with shutters we purchased having paint/wood flaws. I reached out to the company to have the issue repaired andI was ridiculed on the phone and eventually told my children must have damaged the shutters. The kids had nothing to do with the imperfection. I was in disbelief that the woman on the other end of the line actually was the manager. Long story short the owner came out today and little does he know left my work order on the table with this sticky note attached inside (note read "total bitch to Molly on the phone. Upcharge her if she orders again. Very picky"--). Definitely a disappointment. read more

My family and I just relocated from Ohio. I cannot say enough good things about this company and our experience. From the start our experience was top notch. Russ, The gentleman that came out to measure and show me options was so wonderful and polite. He was also very knowledgeable and I felt like he truly had my best interest in mind. He took time to answer all of my questions and he was very respectful inside my home. After receiving the initial "I had to call the office a few times because I thought of a few more questions to ask and the ladies in the Office were able to help me and they were so friendly. You can tell the staff really takes pride in their work. It is really nice to pick up the telephone and have an energetic polite person on the other line willing and able to help. Last but not least the best part of dealing with this company was at time of installation. My installer Jon was by far the best part of this experience. Jon was so polite and knowledgeable I really enjoyed having him in my home. He was super respectful in regards to my home and my family. Jon also fell in love with my French bulldog and we had a really nice conversation because he is getting a French bulldog as well. The installation process was seamless and looks wonderful. I can't say enough good things about Jon and his hard work. She did everything you expect someone to do that is working in your home. He removed his shoes every time he stepped foot into my house, my 11-month-old was sleeping when he got here and I asked if he could start in my sons playroom because when he wakes up from his nap that's where I would be bringing him to stay out of Jon's way and he was more than accommodating. Best of all my house looked exactly the way it did when he left. Jon did not leave any garbage or debris from the blinds nor did he leave behind any parts or pieces laying around. Having a small child and a small dog this was really important to me and I couldn't appreciate it more. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to add a high end look to their home. I ordered 20+ shutters in 2013 for my home. They were fabulous. 100% satisfied. Locally made and perfectly matched lacquer paint for my custom matched color makes them so easy to clean. Fast forward: 2022 ordered three more for a newly finished office space. No longer are they locally made. The finish is not lacquer. Neither of these facts did they share up front. Only after I asked questions about how the custom color process changed was I told casually they are no longer made in Clayton. I only learned they did not use lacquer paint, after I questioned the sample produced to match a custom color. By then I had placed the order with 50% deposit paid. They also recommended no inside mount, since they believed I would not be happy even though all others were inside mount. They wanted to install wood strips that would defeat the ability to open and clean double hung windows on upstairs windows. They did install the windows using inside mount to match the others in my home. They did match the color beautifully. I just looked on their website and today (March 2023) they advertise local tours of their factory and the use of lacquer paint. We were told they are no longer made in Clayton, but are made in the US to their specifications. So much for cutting out the middleman as stated on the website. Our shutters were installed just two months ago. I feel inclined to write the review because I have raved about our first shutters and the lacquer finish, unlike the info stated on their website. The shutters are probably better than what you can get most places. They should be since they are expensive. The salesman should have shared the differences up front. It certainly appears there is misleading and inaccurate info on the website. read more

They were very easy to deal with. Their measurement person came out right away and took the precise measurements of the windows and went over the options that I had for shutters. Very knowledgeable about their products and how they would look on my house. The shutters selected were custom made and they called when they were ready for install. We set a date, the installer showed up 10 minutes early (appreciated), came in and in less than an hour had the shutters up and helped me put the furniture back in place.
