My pool pump had burned out and needed to be either repaired or replaced. They asked me to send a couple of pictures and answer a few questions, then provided quotes for both repair and replacement options. I also did some research on the company and found out they are licensed, bonded, and insured, which gave me peace of mind. Their pricing was also very reasonable compared to other quotes we received. In the end, we decided to replace the pool pump. Chris explained the quote and options, Robyn handled the scheduling and payment process, and Michael came out for the installation. Everyone was professional, efficient, and friendly throughout the whole process. I highly recommend them if you need any pool work done.

Called Shawn in late October to see if his company can replace a pentair board. When he answered…read more"yeah" annoyingly, I asked if this was the pool company. His response was yeah. Okay great start. I then explained my issue and he then said, text me your number, I'm busy, I'll call you back. I did and nothing. I waited two weeks, (we are now in Nov) and called again. After the same intro, I let him know it's the guy with the pentair board. He then said, I told you I would call you back. I thought two weeks was a good enough time for him to call me. I guess not. My bad for not waiting longer. He then said to call him at a specific time-3 days later. I did and he confirmed a date in December-weeks away. I called him the day before the appointment and he said he has Covid and can't come out. (Sorry to hear but glad I called since he wasn't coming and he had no intentions of telling me). He then told me on the call, he gave my number to someone else, and I should call this new person who can help me. I called, left a message, nothing. I waited a week, called and nothing. We are now in Feb. I've called twice and still nothing. I don't understand this guy or his company. My advice is unless you have something crazy specific that I need, skip and go find someone that is friendly, responsive, and appreciates business. What I have learned is these types of companies were doing so well during Covid and they had more customers than they can handle. Now that things are drying up, these companies will be the ones leaving business cards on doors or calling clients they haven't seen in years. Be careful buying anything or using this company as a contractor. If the owner is reading this, it's mark. I'll be leaving reviews on every site I am able to. If one person reads this and goes to next company, I helped! Response to management's response: You never said you are done with it. You said my friend can help you while you are out, He will be giving you a call. Just own you didn't handle this well instead of only quickly responding after a review is done. You have been leading me on for months, didn't come through for the first 2 months, only to forget to let me know you weren't coming as planned and then pawned me off on someone that has worse customer service than you. You clearly responded re the latter part of my review. Assuming everything is accurate as there is no counter to your poor service for the first 2 months.

Over the years, I have hired several pool service companies and found that they are all very…read moresimilar. They stop by for a minute, throw in some chlorine and, when it starts to get hot, they "shock" the pool when it begins to turn green... They say the AZ heat is just brutal, and that shocking a pool is normal.  Fortunately, when I decided to purchase a new pool motor, I hired Big Family Pools. Dean gave me some options and was VERY helpful in the process. His honest, straight forward answers were greatly appreciated. I also learned that the pool cleaner that I was using was not the optimal cleaner for the type of pool we have. Less than a year before I hired Big Family Pools to service my pool each week, we had completed a complete remodel of the pool. When the water was added back into our pool, our former pool service company performed a "start up" chemical process so that the water would be balanced properly. They began servicing with chlorine and shock, as needed.  When Dean installed my new pool motor and pool cleaner, he tested my water for me and showed me the exact chemical composition of the water. We were both surprised at how out of balance the water was after such a short time since the "new" water was added. Having the opportunity to actually see the chemical composition and to learn more about properly caring for the water, I decided to hire Dean to service our pool. This was a few months ago and I am VERY happy with my decision.  Getting detailed reports emailed to us after each pool service to let us know what was done each week is SO much different than what we have ever experienced with other pool companies. Our pool water has never looked better and our pump and cleaner have made my life so much easier.  As a real estate agent, we have started referring Dean to our clients and have used him for pool inspections and pool repairs.
