Love Big Family Pools for our Short Term Rental. They worked well with our pool reno and we find their work up to our guests standards.

Over the years, I have hired several pool service companies and found that they are all very similar. They stop by for a minute, throw in some chlorine and, when it starts to get hot, they "shock" the pool when it begins to turn green... They say the AZ heat is just brutal, and that shocking a pool is normal.  Fortunately, when I decided to purchase a new pool motor, I hired Big Family Pools. Dean gave me some options and was VERY helpful in the process. His honest, straight forward answers were greatly appreciated. I also learned that the pool cleaner that I was using was not the optimal cleaner for the type of pool we have. Less than a year before I hired Big Family Pools to service my pool each week, we had completed a complete remodel of the pool. When the water was added back into our pool, our former pool service company performed a "start up" chemical process so that the water would be balanced properly. They began servicing with chlorine and shock, as needed.  When Dean installed my new pool motor and pool cleaner, he tested my water for me and showed me the exact chemical composition of the water. We were both surprised at how out of balance the water was after such a short time since the "new" water was added. Having the opportunity to actually see the chemical composition and to learn more about properly caring for the water, I decided to hire Dean to service our pool. This was a few months ago and I am VERY happy with my decision.  Getting detailed reports emailed to us after each pool service to let us know what was done each week is SO much different than what we have ever experienced with other pool companies. Our pool water has never looked better and our pump and cleaner have made my life so much easier.  As a real estate agent, we have started referring Dean to our clients and have used him for pool inspections and pool repairs. I love what this company stands for. It's a family owned operation and they pride themselves on quality work and at a fair price. We have had them out to our pool on a couple of occasions to handle some maintenance items that I just didn't feel like doing myself, and worry it's not right. Most expensive company I have ever used with the least satisfactory results. Quit service to me which is fine because my pool was completely lime green and I was complaining for weeks anyway when they did. They had apparently quit weeks earlier. Took them weeks of texting to figure that out. Asked for receipts and never got them for repairs they continually needed do. Most repairs I have had ever! . Back to blue and happy with my new place at half the price. read more

BEWARE!!!!! THIS COMPANY (MOST LIKELY DEAN)!!! ALMOST KILLED OUR PETS! these reviews must be fake and paid... this company came to our neighbors home to fix there serious pool problem from a broken pump. He decided to use n ungodly amount of chemical then drain the pool... he had drained the pool on the side of the house with no hose and flooded their entire yard and ours! The water cane in so high it seeped through the concrete walls. Thank God we were out side and smelled a foul chemical smell and investigated. Our pets were already drinking it. It was so strong we had to put on masks. We attempted to shovel uo the ground to create po kits and block the water rushing in to bo avail.. when we noticed we told them over the wall what was happening. The renter said so sorry and tried to fix it. The pool "guy" ignored us until he had to deal with it and seriously told us it was our own fault for not having a sign!? A sign on a brick wall to tell people we have pets!? Every person in this neighborhood has pets. He did not apologize, he laughed and said it was not his problem. What pool company doesn't have hoses that drain to the street and then almost kills animals and laughs about it?? Now we are not only dealing with sick animals (thankfully not dead) one of which being a 65 year old sulcuta tortious and dead bushes and plants. This is the worst excuse for a company I have ever seen! They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves!! If you care at all about your home, your pets or your neighbors steer very clear of this company! We will be reporting them to environmental services! read more

I really appreciate Dean and his service. We purchased a house this past year and it's our first one with a pool. We had to completely rebuild the pool pump among other things. Great company who you can trust! We bought our house about a year ago and left for vacation a few weeks later. When we got back our pool was green . He was very helpful as a first time pool owner. We had him come out for a pool school, and he was absolutely wonderful. He answered all of the questions I had and gave me great instructions as to how to care for our pool.
