More recently, we enjoyed "Frozen" and "Come From Away" and are excited for many of the upcoming shows for the season! The production quality for this mid-size theatre is excellent! The theatre is not huge, but there are many seats to fill. We have sat in rows Q, R, and S, and the views are still great! Seats are relatively comfortable and easy to find as well. Show prices will vary on where you sit, but it does feel intimate enough to connect with the actors wherever you sit. Even though we live nowhere near the area, La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts has become one of our favourites. Additionally , the parking lot is huge due to the many businesses in this plaza, and we've always been able to park relatively near the theater. Plenty of food options here, too! We will gladly drive the extra miles to support the arts and enjoy musical theatre in La Mirada!

They do a good job of making the pre-show experience a pleasant one. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. There is a bar inside and outside, with the same offerings. They offer themed drinks to the show. People came out to enjoy the nice weather and the pre-show experience. The bathroom had many stalls but that didn't stop the women's from forming a line. Parking is free.

Alohi's is ran mostly by a close knit, family-like group of people. There are several dance instructors for various styles of dancing, including Polynesian, jazz, hip hop, and Zumba. The instructors are kind and friendly, and class availability is offered six times a week. They perform all around OC and LA, including at many charity events. The studio itself has plentiful space to dance, and sufficient seating to watch your kids/significant other/whatever. If all the couches happen to be full, then there's more of an excuse to join in the dancing! Every single student (dancers/performers) I've become acquainted with have been kind and friendly. There is virtually no drama, and the aura is quite passive. The instructors stress perfection and may come across as strict at times, but that's normal for any passionate teacher. Having no basis for comparison, Alohi's isn't perfect; no person is; no studio is. However I do believe this is a fantastic environment to be in to learn/improve on whatever dance you're interested in. I really enjoy being surrounded by the people encompassing this studio, and I encourage whoever is reading this to cultivate their curiosity by stopping by this studio. Even thought the location had technical difficulties (felt like I was in a school auditorium at times) they fixed it quickly and just added to the lighthearted atmosphere. We parked inside the school campus for free but there appeared to be street parking available in the neighborhood. The only negative thing about the location is that there are no clear signs naming the auditorium as the Blue Moon Theater as you are driving by it. We just followed the people lol.

She makes sure we're progressing and pushes her students to do their best, but she's also very sweet and funny and her classes are always fun to take. The girls here are also very nice and welcoming to new people. The staff is very friendly and really encourages supporting other dancers, love that. Felt very welcomed coming in for the first and only time unless more friends decide to workshop. Floors are a bit slippery but of course no street shoes should touch the floor however this was a pop up workshop so the shoes were definitely on the floor. This is my first and probably only time here so I'm only going based off my one experience here and nothing really blew me away. I do understand that this isn't a regular dance studio, it's more for kids and performative dance. Great staff though.
