I've found Clean Mart to be an acceptable dry cleaner in the Herndon area. Items take 24 hours, with pickup after 5 pm. If you need same day service, you'll have to drop off your items between 7-9 am. I don't think they offer special 1 hour servicing. If you are looking to professionally launder your simple clothing (shirts and pants, pant suits), they seem to do a good job. They haven't lost any of my clothes, although have apparently list clothing articles belonging to other customers (read the other reviews). For more complicated clothing, like some jackets, suits, and dresses, I would not go here. This is a simple and cheap dry cleaner. They do not seem to know how to take proper care of the more complicated articles of clothing. The two ladies (both Hispanic) you will meet up front speak English well, and also don't take special requests well. All of my shirts are made from the same material and fit from the same company. They're all identical. I was only using Clean Mart for dry cleaning and have brought my shirts here 4 times with no problems or shrinking. Last time I had 7 shirts cleaned. One of them shrunk a lot during cleaning both in length (barely long enough to tuck in now) and in the sleeves (sleeves come to 2" below my wrist now)The owner refused to take responsibility. She said it was the manufacturer. All 7 of my shirts are made by the same company and are all the exact same size. I have never washed my shirts on my own and it fit perfectly fine before I dropped it off at Clean Mart to be dry cleaned. I showed her all 7 shirts, told her the exact same story, and she refused to admit it could be her fault. Do not use this dry cleaner. They have terrible customer service and if they ruin your clothes they will blame everyone else but themselves. How could it possibly be the manufacturer when it fit last week and the only place my shirt has been since then is this dry cleaner? Take responsibility. I understand shit happens but don't blame me when you're the one that messed up. I spend $40/month on dry cleaning. Replacing my shirt and keeping a long term regular customer sounds like a no brainer to me. read more

This is one of several reviews of dry cleaners in the area around my home and office. I am only reviewing them on the quality of service in laundering dress shirts and their price. The Clean Mart Dry Cleaners is a decent place for shirts with each costing $1.20 to launder. they have the typical one day turn around. I was a little hesitant to try them at first since they are a "pre-pay" establishment and that always gives me pause. Their hours are Monday through Friday 7am to 8pm; Saturday 8am to 7pm; and Sunday 11am to 3pm. On Saturdays any shirts dropped off after 9am will be ready on Monday not Sunday and Sunday you may only drop off and pick up. They are a little hard to find. Although their address is 1141 Elden Street, they are actually in the little strip mall next to the Amphora Diner and behind the Herndon Auto repair shop and Shell Gas Station. Like I said they do a decent job. Like the other places I have tried in the area, they seem to press the shirts so quickly that there are wrinkles under the arms, creases in the sleeves, and along parts of the back. My purpose for bringing my shirts to a dry cleaner is so that I don't spend most of my Sunday night washing and ironing my shirts. Instead I chose to buy back some of my time and drop them off. But I end up doing some ironing anyway. Bottom line: At $1.20 a shirt it's a decent trade off for me. I'm only giving them 3 stars because of the price. If they were more expensive it would be 2 stars. I'll keep casually looking and maybe I will find someplace better. read more

So glad I found CleanMart and gave them a try. They provide not only very good service but they do an excellent job on my suits not to mention their prices can't be beat. For so long I'd been paying $4.25 (or more) per item at another nearby cleaners and now I'm paying $2.20 an item at CleanMart. Another thing I like is that they're open 7 AM to 8 PM M-F; 8 AM to 7 PM on Sat and 11 AM to 3 PM on Sunday. I'm seriously touting them because I want to be sure they get discovered so that they'll stay open as they're tucked back off of Elden Street (next to Amphoras) so they are not easily visible from the street. I'd hate to see this place close due to lack of discovery when they definitely deserve to be found and give these other cleaners a run for their money. By the way, I'm in no way affiliated with the owner of this establishment - I'm just one very satisfied customer who wants to see this new place really make a go of it so do yourself a favor and start giving them your business. I would not recommend this place at all. I gave them a pea coat to clean (which was a gift). They lost it, blamed me, and then "found it". It was returned to me with the lining in shreds. This store is under new and improved management. Went in on Saturday to pick up some shirts and they were perfectly dry cleaned, much better than the previous owners. I just recently started to use dry cleaners and the lady in the front was super helpful. The quality must be much better due to how many more people use Clean Mart now. Brought a brand new suit to be dry cleaned. After inspection no fabric tears were seen. Picked up the suit and a tear was introduced during the dry cleaning process in the jacket of the suit. The personnel tried to blame the tear as my fault. This is not the first time that fabric tears have occurred. 3 long selves shirts were also torn during dry cleaning at this place previously. Excellent old fashioned service! There was a miscommunication about putting my shirts in boxes. When I brought it to the owner's attention, he refunded me my money, and he had the shirts properly packaged for me to pick up the next day. He offered to to this, I didn't even have to ask. I will definitely continue to use them. I recommend them highly. read more

Pants were altered one leg shorter than the other... my work supervisor noticed this and embarrassed me at work? waist was 2 inches too tight? pants couldn't be worn. they measured it right but altered wrong ..... both waist and length had to be done over again adding a inch to the length...... they screw up my clothes and want to cop a bad attitude?.. never again Clean Mart. Your policy of charging customers before work is done sucks. go to spring/dulles cleaners on spring st in Herndon Va its next to mr pepperonis they do it right the first time and dont charge before the work is done. read more

Usually the owner is very friendly and they do a fairly good job with dry cleaning. What really upset me about this cleaner is that they closed for an emergency and I have been unable to pick up my large dry cleaning order. There is just a sign stating that they are sorry that they are closed for an "emergency", no explanation when they will reopen. I have been there twice already with a week between the visits and it is still closed. I started calling after a week to see if they are open but there is no answer or update when they will reopen and it has been at least a week and a half. This is really unacceptable as a business. If you give an explanation and an approximate date for the reopening, that would be helpful and people would be more understanding. I would really like to get my clothes back. read more

I've been going to Clean Mart for over 2 years now and have nothing to say but good things. I moved to NVA from the westcoast over 8 years ago and was supremely dissatisfied with the price, workmanship, and turnaround time of drycleaners in the area. Then, I stumbled upon Clean Mart and have given them all of my business. They not only do good dry cleaning, but offer laundry service on garments as well. They have consistency in the quality of work they perform and in this "day and age" of making every penny count, their price is awesome. This was our first time trying them and we had a mixed experience to start with. Though they say next day delivery, it is not true. We got a majority of our clothes on the promised day but one if my dress pants was not ready. They asked to come next day that happened to be my out of town travel day. I had a note on my receipt for one less pant delivered. I went back upon my return I went to Clean Mart to collect the dress pant. The cashier was not able to find it at first and then came back with a white informal pant that wasn't mine. She asked for a day's time to look for it and promised to call back. Two days passed but no one called from the laundry. I went to check on them in person, only to forgot to carry the receipt with me. They looked for the pant and could not trace it. The manager asked me to send a picture of the receipt via text message. I did that and after silence on his end for half day, I checked on him again. This time he admitted that they lost the dress pant. He is offering a store credit. Who in their sand mind accept a store credit from a store that lost your formal dress pant? read more

I had a really bad experience here. I asked them if they replaced zippers and she said yes. I went to pick it up 2 weeks later and it wasn't ready yet -- they said they had to ship it away to a tailor. I went back again 1 month later and it still wasn't ready. Then my husband went a third time and it wasn't ready again. At that point, we just wanted the jacket back and a refund. They wouldn't give us a refund because the manager wasn't there. We went back a fourth and fifth time and the same thing happened. Its March 16 and they've been keeping my jacket hostage since January. They won't do the work or give me a refund. I would just take the jacket but I already paid $26 up front (bad idea). We went again today and the jacket was just sitting there, untouched. They hadn't fixed it in 4 months. And again, they wouldn't give me a refund so I can't get the jacket. it's insane. At this point I despise this place for the way they've handled this. read more
