They had an empty home to clean and couldn't even wipe dust off surfaces. They did not clean out any cabinets or drawers. The brand new carpet was dirtier when they left than before they arrived. As far as I can tell, they sprayed some air freshener and then left. Stupidly, I paid for this right away and told them they did a good job because I figured who the hell would advertise themselves as a cleaning service if they, you know, don't actually clean anything? Lesson learned, and an expensive one -- $1700 for a "move-in house cleaning" and window washing. And then to top it off, one of the employees felt that he could be sexist and rude to my wife because she was not the one who originally contacted them. They also refused to return my money. While I was traveling for business overseas, my house sitter got everything ready for Maria and her team to clean the house as scheduled, except she accidentally forgot to put the key in the hiding spot. Maria called my cell phone but my number is not active when I am out of the country so I didn't get her message. Finally, another scheduled cleaning day arrived and I still had not heard from Maria. I texted her again asking if I was still on her schedule, yes or no? No reply, and Maria did not show up again. I just don't think I deserved to be snubbed and ignored because of the one mistake of not putting the key out. I suppose I could've had my house sitter call Maria, but I just figured I would pay for the missed day and all would be okay. I feel like I at least deserved a call back, even if it was just to say she was taking me off her schedule. Oh and most of those reviews are because she offered a discount for a yelp review.
