Great place to get tattoo removal. I've only been once and they offered me a fair price way lower than most places without a commitment to classes to get my price of just 150 dollars per session. It's a 24 square inch tattoo so it's big and although it's a painful process it's worth it compared to paying like 800 dollars and than like 192 dollars per month. I loved it at first and I saw progress but I wish the laser technicians were more experienced !! they caused my skin to get HYPOPIGMENTATION on my hand. I overheard one of the laser technicians who was training another technician how to do the services and when he saw the area of my tattoo removal he told her " this is what happens when the laser is too strong for the skin and causes the skin to lose pigment" The whole time I was thinking I wish I had him in the first place , someone who knows what they're doing !!! I needed a small tattoo removed from my wrist, and this organization was a pleasure to work with. The staff were friendly and professional and got right to the point, the whole process took about 30 minutes from check in to completing my first treatment. Street parking was easy right in front of the school. $50/session for my tattoo removal (again, mine is on the small side), and I'm expecting I'll need up to 8 sessions (it will depend person to person, so we'll see how my skin heals). It's wonderful to be able to get this tattoo removed while supporting an organization doing such important work in the community. I've already booked my appointment for next month, and I'm planning to buy the numbing cream next time ($35) - I know that will require more time (you have to wait 90 minutes after the staff applies the cream), but wow, this hurts! I will be sharing my personal experience from this establishment. I came here because of the "low cost" laser tattoo removal. It's a commute to LA from Long Beach but I decided to give it a shot. I was charged $35 for a consultation in a crafting room. Yes, a crafting room, this is not a clinic setting. Most places don't even charge for consultations. That was the first red flag but I decided to look past it. I was quoted $80-$85 per session for a tattoo that is a bit smaller than a business card, black ink and some color. Honestly, that's not "low cost". Professional clinic settings quoted me the same. So yes, I did come in expecting a lower cost. I mentioned to him that I was told by Roxanne that visible tattoos get a discount (my tattoo is visible) and he stood quiet for a second and said he could do $60. I accepted it. PLEASE pay attention to this crucial detail, the guy who did the consultation told me that once the BLACK ink starts to fade, he will drop the price for the laser treatments. I paid: $35 consultation $60 tattoo $35 numbing cream PLEASE pay attention to this too! We went up stairs where the laser machines are after I paid and he gave my numbing cream to the lady so she can apply it. I stood out in the hallway, she came out and told me to follow her. She took me to a different room full of desks and there was already an open numbing cream on the desk and a mess of it everywhere. She left the room with my brand new numbing cream in her hand, I think she went to get tape or an applicator (wooden stick). She came back without MY numbing cream. She reached for the opened numbing cream that was on the desk and I said to her, "that isn't my numbing cream, you took mine." I could tell she didn't like that I said that and she said, "WELL, WHOSE IS IT?!" She stormed out the room, back to the laser room and brought back my numbing cream. She applied the cream and I waited 1.5 hours. That was definitely a red flag because, had I not been vigilant, she would've used someone else's cream on me, cross contamination. Honestly, I should've walked out, got a refund and left. But disappointingly, I didn't. Now, it's time for my laser treatment. The girl tech was nice and informative BUT she burned my skin badly. Most likely I will have scarring. I looked at my tattoo before it was wrapped and I could see nothing but red dots. As I'm writing this review, in 2 days, it'll be my 3 week mark and I still have the red dots. Earlier in this review I mentioned that I was told the price would drop after the black ink fades. Turns out the laser tech didn't target the black ink, she focused on the color. I wonder why? I know why, I think you get what I'm saying. Overall, I highly do not recommend this place. I regret coming here. I betrayed my skin even after the red flags I encountered. I'm the one who will live with the burn marks/scarring from the laser treatment. I can confidently say that it is unsanitary here. Not many will speak up but if I can advocate for others, I will. Thank you for reading. read more

This place is the best! While other places charge you $150-200 per session. Here, You pay per treatment session from $35-up. The first time you go, there is a counseling fee of $20 +$35 per treatment session. My first time totaled to be $55. My second time was only $35. People here are nice and understanding. Went today and had lots of areas treated. I paid a reasonable price and my favorite part of the whole experience was the actual technician doing the removal. He was very sweet and caring and helped me ease the pain with his words! People complaining about prices are idiots; even though they're a non profit, they still have to pay for the overhead of the services they're providing. Yes I paid a little higher than expected, but I saved TONS of money compared to going to regular tatt removal clinics. read more

Very affordable unlike other places that charge you an arm and a leg. The staff is amazing friendly and very helpful. I'm glad they moved to Los Angeles . I really recommend clean slate for all your tattoo removal needs. The first visit takes a little long due to consultation. They also offer numbing cream which takes another 30 min to kick in . I don't like waiting too long so I don't use the numbing cream. Parking is on the street right outside of the clinic. Mornings are always busy I prefer close to closing time. read more

I have had a tattoo for 9 years that I have wanted to remove for quite some time, but most places charge a lot, and you often have to buy sessions in packages. For example, when I got a quote at LaserAway, I could only buy a minimum of 10 sessions, and if my tattoo is removed in less than 10 sessions, then whatever extra I paid can be used as credit towards other services such as Coolsculpting. All I want is to remove my tattoo, without having to spend extra on services I don't need. So I am very happy I found CleanSlate. Everything is simple and straightforward. They offer sessions about 3 days each month (Saturday, Sunday, and I'm not sure about the other day, but their whole schedule is on their website). The sessions are about one month apart and you are not committed to go every month (you can skip a month if you want; although I try to go every month). You go for as many sessions as needed (no paying for extra sessions you don't need!). So you just make an appointment for an AM session or PM session. I go on Saturdays for their 1pm-4pm session. I like the flexibility of time, too, because I can come anytime between 1pm and 4pm, without worrying about being late for a specific appointment time. All of the staff is also very kind and professional. The place is clean. It's only been my 2nd time there, but every time, I never had to wait more than 10 minutes, even though there are people before me. They are very quick but efficient. By the way, yes, laser tattoo removal hurts! But they provide numbing cream for an extra charge if you need it. I don't use it, because anyway, the actual laser removal takes less than 2 minutes, so I just bear it. They initially described the feeling as hot oil getting on your skin when you cook. I would say that's pretty accurate. But it is worth it. Parts of my tattoo started disappearing after the first time, but of course, it's still visible. They said my small tattoo on my neck would take about 5-8 sessions. They give good aftercare instructions and I can tell they know what they are doing. Overall, highly recommended. When I first got evaluated for the price Maryann assisted me she gave me the most reasonable price this industry can offer. Anthony and Mike was always attentive and nurturing when it came to the treatment. It is a small community environment so everyone is super friendly and helpful. Over priced and not worth it. They claim to offer the lowest prices but they are higher than normal laser offices. The laser work is done in an adult school setting which I'm unsure is sanitary. These mfs scarred me! This place was good until they weren't. I liked this place because it was pay as you go but I guess you get what you pay for. When I confronted them about scarring me, they got angry & denied it. They said it wasn't even possible for their machines to scar like that but it's obviously possible because it happened to me! read more
