I had gotten this tattoo as a birthday gift for myself,when the tattoo artist had a panic attack mid-session she left me with scars underneath a messed up work. I was so discouraged once the tattoo shop refused to fix it and places I looked up for tattoo removal charged up to $4,000 sessions, that is until I found Sunrise. I called with not much hope and made an appointment for pricing. When I heard the price I thought it was joke for how low it was,but I immediately scheduled my appointment. They made sure I was comfortable on my first removal session and thoroughly explained the process and after care of the session. I've been coming here ever since with what seemed to be a curse to wake up to every morning on my arm to an almost invisible mark. HORRIBLE PLACE I got this place from a friend that got tattoo removed. I walked in everyone is very unprofessional especially the lady MARIA that gives you the pricing. She seemed like she was having a bad so gave her a pass. I went back with the price she game me a week or two later and all of a sudden it was no longer valid and raised it 40 dollars. I was super polite and was trying to be nice and she had a attitude again and said i clearly told u the new price. NOT A PERSON WHO SHOULD BE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE ESPECIALLY IF U TRYING TO GET NEW BUSINESS. I had every intention Of going here and even would tell friends about it but i looked up and a place called homeboy industries does the same thing without attitude or BAD manners. I dont think the reviews do this place enough justice. I came upon this place via yelp, and decided to call for a quote. Maria was actually off, but she replied me anyways! I sent her a pic of my tattoo and she was very genuine and asked me to go in for a more accurate quote since it was a complicated piece. The ambience isn't a typical doctors office per se, they are like a big family in there and i like that actually. The numbing cream takes a while so come early for it to sink in! They inform you of the care before/after and although i've only had one session with Anthony, i'm already seeing a dramatic result! I got into an accident lately so i couldnt make it to my second appointment, but Maria was very accommodating and said i can call to reschedule anytime. Parking is 50 cents per hour in a structure downstairs, make sure you bring some cash! I cant wait to post a before and after when my piece is vanished !! read more

It's rare for me to give negative reviews but if you're trying to get your tattoo removed, pay a little more (like $20) and go to Laser Away. The lady I spoke to couldn't even quote what type of laser she uses.. She just told me her last machine broke down in flames in the middle of a procedure and the one before that was broken. I don't mean to be harsh, but that's a literal word-for-word quote. I appreciate the service being provided but it makes me nervous when the staff don't seem knowledgable on their own machine/product. read more

I went in and changed my mind the technician said I could get a refund since nothing was done. well Maria at the front desk said she didn't know how to refund it since it was online credit and said if I had paid cash she would. That I had deny the charge to get my money back, well I called my credit card company and 30 minutes later she fraudulently charges my card again with out consent. this place is 100% FRAUD. reporting to the attorney general and VISA as fraud how are companies able to do this sort of thing??? be careful, so I now have 300 dollars in charges because they have a receptionist that doesn't know how to process refunds and charges multiple times? My son started to have his tattoos removed 6 months ago. These tattoos were on his neck, arms, chest and back. I was not sure what to expect as some of his tattoos were done professionally and some were done by friends. I had mentioned to my son several years ago whenever he was ready to have all the tattoos removed I would pay for the removal of all of them. Well he let me know he was ready so I did a lot of research before choosing Sunrise. The price quoted was great. The best price of all the places I had checked with. The staff at Sunrise are amazing and Maria is so knowledgeable. They fully explain the process and after care and are always happy to answer any questions. We started seeing results after the second week. Some of the tattoos were completely gone by the 3rd visit. As my son's tattoos have been fading my daughter and I have noticed he has his confidence back. He no longer wears buttoned up collared shirts to hide the tattoos on his neck as they have faded so much he is now wearing t-shirts. He had gone on several job interviews and he said he knew they did not call him back because of his tattoos. During a job interview he told the interviewer that he was trying to get a fresh start and showed him how his tattoos were fading out. He was hired on the spot and just passed his 90 day probation with the company. So all things are possible. I highly recommend and strongly urge anyone that is considering tattoo removal to go to Sunrise, the results are fantastic, you start seeing results right away and the prices are so affordable. read more

She said she waited with an appointment which is a lie, since they never give appointments and it's on a first come first serve basis since it's a non-profit organization aimed for low income patients that want their tattoos removed. Ppl that are high maintenance need to stop complaining when you are given a $40 quote on a tattoo removal session and go pay your $2,000 for 4 sessions elsewhere. If I can give a negative star rating I would. Firstly I would like to say this place is serving a low income area, the building is not fancy. The lady working upfront Maria possibly the most bitter miserable woman on earth as a greeter. Complete rude and pricing way higher Los Angeles then your "boutique" style tattoo removal. I was basically yelled at asking if I had an appt and when I confirmed she still was in a bad mood. People she said she charges $175 for 3 dots PEOPLE SHE SAID SHE CHARGES 175 FOR 3 DOTS. Her rude behavior wasn't personal, it was her wide load personality, some people are just sad and customers don't know better BUT CUSTOMERS HAVE OPTIONS. I feel bad for the young mans 1st experience here, she said his writing looked like chicken scratch. So I purchased a Groupon for Laser Away for $40 to remove up to 10 inches, and a glass of champagne. By the way Maria's tattoo Ink knowledge, is for the birds she's blind as hell. A few tips to take note of: -Bring cash as that is the only method of payment accepted. -Come early if you do not want to wait long. Patients are typically seen in the order they arrive. -If you opt for the numbing cream, you will be waiting an hour before being treated. This is standard among all reputable tattoo removal services. -A tattoo removal quote will not be given over the phone. -The environment is very relaxed. If you are looking for a large lavish waiting room and staff dressed in white coats, this is not the place for you. -If you want to see the absolute best possible results, FOLLOW THE ADVICE OF THE STAFF. They give you the advice, such as applying sunscreen EVERY DAY over the tattoo(s) being removed, in an effort to minimize the number of treatments needed. read more

This is a non-profit group that provides extremely low cost tattoo removal. As such, they do not spend a lot of money on bells and whistles. If you are looking for a posh lobby with luxurious seating and a high end feel, go spend 10x the price at a standard tatttoo removal place. The place is run on a dime, but I did not feel anything was unhygenic; they just put their dollars where it matters. As for appointment settting, the 'appointment' simply means they have confirmed they are expecting you. Removal is always on a first-come, first served basis. Your first time you have to sit through a presentation at a set time, so the only reason a time is given is because they only hold one session per day, and if you haven't been there before you have to attend it. If you miss it, you cannot get a removal session. That said, everyone who is new is then taken in the order they arrived once the session is completed. I have been up there three times now, and heading for my fourth treatment this weekend. In my experience, Maria and her staff here are amazing. They are friendly caring, and very compassionate. If you want highly trained office staff, go where people are trained and paid to be receptionists, as opposed to stafff that are primarily volunteers giving their own time for a great cause. What they offer to the general public is incredible. I got a large tattoo when I was much younger - too young to make an intelligent decision on something so permanent. As a new mom, I do not want my boys to grow up seeing my tattoo and making the same mistake. If they want a tattoo when they are on their own and mature enough to get something they will cherish for life, I have no problem with that (nor could I control it). However I do not want to predispose them to thinking tattoos are a good idea just because Mom has a big one on her back. I went for several consultations at standard tattoo removal places. I even had a single session on my back via a Groupon that I thought might lead to an affordable approach to removing it. The cost (since my tattoo is quite large) was just astronomical and not plausible for me. Sunrise has given me the opportunithy to be the role model I want to be for my boys, at a price I can afford. If you are high maintanance, this place might not be for you, but how anyone could award these guys anything other than 5 stars for their intention, commitment and most of all value is just beyond me. read more

The prices are affordable but the staff is always late, not 5 minutes but 15 minutes every time I've come here. Sometimes they are nice and sometime they are rude. I try to just come in and out not interaction other than the necessary. I mean, I get it is a "community service" but we are still paying patients.
