I was visiting Sandy Springs for about a week. I'm really big on health and maintaining a balance between having fun and recharging your body. I've been incorporating regular colon cleanses into my health routine and have noticed increased energy amongst many other benefits. I was looking for a place to go that could help me continue this although I was on vacation. I came across clean start cleansing and was impressed with all of the good reviews. So I decided to schedule myself and my friend an appointment for a colon cleanse. Upon walking in, I was greeted by the nicest young lady. Super sweet with a nice smile. She had us fill out all the necessary documents and informed us our colonic specialist will be with us shortly. As we waited, we asked her questions about different vitamin supplements they had Available And what she would recommend for high blood pressure, urinary health. Parasite, cleanses, etc. She was very knowledgeable and when she didn't have an answer, she would go out of her way to look it up whether it was online, or a book that look like a Bible that talked about what supplements were good for what. When she didn't find it there, she asked another individual for help! Wish I could remember her name. She gets a 10 out of 10 from me. When it was time for our service, we were walked to the back. The facility was really clean. Everything was decorated beautifully. When I entered the room where the colonic was performed, the technician explained to me how everything worked. Answered all of my questions. She left to allow me to un dress and get myself situated. I finished my colonic. Everything went smoothly. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here. Appt was messed up twice. Once we finally got that straightened out I booked multiple services same day. I arrived and went to use the restroom the foot stool was laid across the toilet. There was hair in the sink obviously not cleaned. The water for the foot bath was ice cold. I had to request hot water which came from a kettle. The water did not stay cold for the 23 min session which I've never had that service less 30 min. The chairs were dirty the walls were dirty. There was a television that was off with no offering of the remote or to turn it on. There was a candle not lit. It appeared that there were things available to make a relaxing atmosphere but just not utilized. There was a tile missing from the ceiling. Just not a relaxing vibe or hygienic atmosphere so I cancelled my remaining services. read more

I recently got my first colonic here, and it was an EXPERIENCE! I almost overlooked the place because of the outside--inside, it's a wonderful and relaxing place that keeps everyone feeling welcomed and peaceful. She has wall-to-wall supplements and lots of items for different health needs. The colonic was super weird feeling but I felt really peaceful afterwards and my stomach was super flat! I had a hard time, ahem, getting started, and the attendant was right on it! I definitely left her a nice tip because she was so attentive. The owner asked me what kind of music/Pandora station that I wanted, which I've never been asked before. Of course, I wanted to be comfortable, so I chose the R&B station. I came to clean start Last year for my very first colonic and had a great experience. So this year I gave up meat and decided after 4 months of being a vegetarian I wanted to clean out my colon so I called and purchased the 3 session package. (I did one a week for three weeks) My colonic specialist was Natasha. H. I got to see her ever time an she is so loving and sweet. She made my experience relaxing and great. Now that all my sessions are done I feel great. I recommend purchasing a liver or some type of cleanse to do along with the colonic. It helps so much. I got a few services done here. The foot detox, Iridolgy review, and internal cleansing. The experience was ok. I would recommend to not drink heavily or go to a big super bowl house party the night before you do a cleanse, lol. I did not feel ok, hyper ventilated, and turned white. I didn't feel great but I take all responsibility for that. The place is very small so everything is done the open area minus the internal cleaning. The Iridolgy review was accompanied by every single supplement they could sell you. Now, normally I would completely turned off by this but the owner Susan was really nice didn't try to sell me but just pointed out what would help. The foot detox, which I have done before is pretty standard. The cleansing.... I was happy that the lady who helped me stayed with me the WHOLE time! I felt like my body was feeling a traumatic experience. Lastly, they have posted a special 3 for 1 deal online of $115 and when I go to check out the girl says $160. Although that is still decently priced, when you post a package online, don't tell me that I'm supposed to mention it to get it. A bit shady in my opinion. Buckhead and Johns Creek --- BOTH places are horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From the looks you would expect things to go way different. My friend went to the one in Johns Creek and they too have piss poor service. Machines are always broken. They are horribly ran. Upon booking my appointment I didn't know what to expect based upon the mixed reviews that I've seen but figured I'd give it a shot. When I entered the Midtown location the area looked pretty much like it does online & the staff was very pleasant. Mariela assisted me with my colon hyrdrotherapy, although this wasn't my first colonic she was very easy going. I recently moved to Atlanta and have definitely been enjoying all the amazing food....I mean really enjoying. I normally eat relatively clean, when I don't, I'm pretty good with portion control, not the case the last few months. I haven't been feeling quite right, bloated and sluggish, I decided a colonic might help. I'm not a stranger to the process, I've had the benefit of experiencing both open and closed systems, for me I prefer open, I like the privacy, but it's really just a matter of preference. They do an open system here, everything was super clean, things were explained clearly, I was checked on every 10-15 minutes, herbal supplement suggestions were made for my specific issues, though I didn't feel pressured to buy anything, all in all I think it's a great establishment. I read one of the more negative reviews which was more about being bothered by being asked if she wanted to leave a tip. I understand how this can feel awkward, I've actually looked up the tipping etiquette for this type of service, it's an incredibly grey area, some say yes, some say no. With my experience I was asked whether I would like to add it to my credit card, some systems don't allow you to add it in after the transaction has gone through, that's how I took it when I was asked. Again, it's really just up to you, some people might think a technician staying with you the whole time is more deserving of a tip, I personally tipped because I was happy she got the heck out. ;) read more

Everything from colonic, foot detox and sunna's can be had there. Customer service is second to none Courtney very nice and knowledgeable. All techs friendly and seem to have the know how assist you with your overall wellness. Inside shop offer array of detox and wellness products dealing with human body. They're products blood pressure, kidneys, adrenal gland and etc. So wether your goal is maintain health or get healthier, I think Clean Start great place to begin a journey to a more healthier you. read more

Johns Creek - Was a loyal customer at this location since it opened and initially things were good. Been getting monthly colonics for 10+ years, and thought I'd try this new place when it opened up nearby. Over the past couple of years, the friendliness wore off, the prices increased and the allowable time for colonics decreased (not officially per the website, the people just reduced the time from 45m to 30m) which I was displeased about. Another reason I left this location was that out of the blue I started getting BV. Took meds, got it again repeatedly every month over a 5-month period. Dr & I couldnt figure out why until I mentioned my monthly colonics. To be sure the JC colonics were the cause, I stopped going & went to the Buckhead location for 3 months in a row. Guess what-no more BV. Never had a single issue getting colonics for 10+ years until it happened in JC and stopped happening when I left JC. My PH levels were never imbalanced from colonics in 10+ years nor after several Buckhead colonics so you do the math. Will never go to JC location again and please beware that if you do, you may end up leaving with an unwanted surprise. Must say that the Buckhead location is far better than JC. The people, facilities and equipment are nicer and much better thus far. No problems after my colonics. Typical in the industry for colonics to be 1hr to 45m in duration. Not sure why both locations dont voluntarily honor the time allotted even when u spend only 5 min prep time. If this continues to be an issue I'll definitely start going elsewhere for monthly colonics. Self-care is a priority to me so I'll never stop getting them every month, but as much as they cost I refuse to get cheated out of my 45m time either. read more

I've never done open-system colonic hydrotherapy before, so I was hesitant. However I felt very clean afterwards. The technician was knowledgable and pleasant. My reasons for 4 stars instead of 5: 1) I'm on a cane and had difficulty mounting the rather tall device. She left me to undress and climb up by myself. I was exhausted by the effort and very nearly fell in the process. A step stool is definitely needed for even the slightly disabled. 2) I was then instructed to insert the tube myself - I will admit that I don't like THAT about an open system. 2) There is no dedicated bathroom in this facility! This means that when you get up (this always happens with me) and have to further evacuate your bowels RIGHT NOW, you must first get dressed and walk out into the public area, and then HOPE like hell the bathroom is not occupied. I had an unpleasant experience and had to take some of my clothing home in a baggie. Having said all of this, I will return, but I will be prepared (i.e. bring my own step stool, slippers and a robe; and I will refuse to dismount until I'm assured the bathroom is unoccupied). Open versus closed system? Closed system is completely passive on the part of the client; open system requires more active participation. However, I do think I felt slightly cleaner with the open system. read more

So I was extremely nervous about going for obvious reasons! However, the staff was really nice, the room was clean and relaxing, and overall I had a great experience. It's really weird because after the colon session I felt sooo light and airy! I wanted to tell strangers my colon was clean hahahaha. But the process however is a slight intense; on a scale of one to ten I would give it a six. Your stomach will cramp and you will essentially be popping for a whole hour!
