I (like many) carry my stress in my head, neck, and shoulders. My therapist started with sound and atoma therapy, proceeded with like scalp massage. Then with warm, soothing water, began with the hair washing. She took her time saturating every strand. She then applied a thick and hydrating shampoo. This shampoo created such a thick lather. With that layher she worked her fingers through my hair and across every inch of my scalp, loosening those fibrous adhesions in my scalp muscles (tension headaches). A nice, warm rinse followed. The water gently trickles across your forehead abd down your scalp. Now a moisturizing conditioner. Again working this into my hair, she gently rubs the serum from scalp, through the strands. We let this sit. She places a steam hood over my head to open the hair cuticles and allow the conditioner to penetrate each strand. While enjoying this steam she gently applies pressure to the rest of my body; arms, legs (it's ntlit technically a full-body service, but it's a "mini". After were done steaming she commences with the deep scalp, head , neck, shoulders, upper chest, arms, hand massage. Uhhhhmazing. Time to flip! Starting again with the back of the scalp, she continues the massage, down the neck, shoulders/scapula, arms, she gives my upper body a DEEP stretch, and works the rest of my back. If one was requested at the time I booked the appointment, I would have left one. We arrived at 11:05 for our 11:30 appointment; signed wavers and was offered a beverage. We chose white wine and didn't know it would be warm. My best friend received her massage first and just when my feet were in the water, they were taken out. The massage therapist was ready for me. So my best friend started with her pedicure. After my massage, there was a period of waiting. A long period, in which we binged on Good Girls. There is only one nail tech on duty, it was explained that sometimes there are two on Thursdays. I made sure that my friend was able to receive the signature chocolate experience. Time did not allow me to take advantage of anything special. We were there so long that I lost the desire anyway. At some point, you could hear light growls from our stomachs. No one ever offered us anything other than the initial welcome glass of warm, white wine. Upon completion, we were told at the register that the business adds a four percent charge to all credit card purchases. RIDICULOUS! That's on the total! When asked why no one shared that we could save if we paid cash, the response was "I didn't book your appointment".
