While I think they did a good job and I like their products, they were super expensive and I still had 14 more windows that needed to be replaced. In May of this year I started to seriously consider getting the rest replaced. Enter Alpine Exteriors. They provided the third bid and landed in the middle price wise. They were considerably less expensive than Champion (no surprise) and slightly more expensive than a no name company that came out selling cheap quality windows. But Alpine Exteriors quality, service, and selection really stood out. I met with the owner, Hiram Molloy, at my home and there was zero sales pressure and no games. He has access to a number of different windows at all different price points, so he was able to find something in my budget and a quality I was happy with. They were installed a couple weeks ago and that was the real test. I'm pretty OCD and I want perfection. I'm never fully satisfied because that would be impossible, but the installers did a nice job. They were friendly and detail oriented. I asked a lot of questions and spent a fair amount of time watching the install and they were courteous and obviously knew what they were doing. They also cleaned up the mess and used preventative measures around my furniture to keep the mess at a minimum. Upon final cleanup they collected all the stickers from the windows and placed them on copy paper so I could apply for the rebate. Hiram followed through on his promise and mailed me all the rebate paperwork with instructions. The wood around them is now warping, apparently the installer caulked in the peephole. Again, 2 kids came out, changed out bottom peephole, used a ton of caulking and actually took the liberty to cut the wood out in odd little squares. I have been trying to get them back to fix the mess for weeks. The guy I have talked to is arrogant and condescending. Such a bad experience with Homestar, Milgards windows are great, Homestar installation, etc is not. At 71, I do not deserve to be treated like this, sick to my stomach, just hire some competent help and remember who you are working for, the customer.​​​​​​​

I contracted to have Savage glass install a door last Spring. It wasn't until this year when I had…read morea window replaced by a different company that I realized the extent of the damage. When they pulled out the old window above the sliding glass door that Savage glass had installed, there was so much rot above the door that they couldn't put the new window in until they cut out and reframed the window. Since the sliding glass door and picture window above it were only separated by 4 inches they had to cut the stucco around the window and door to assess the extent of the damage. When they started pulling away the layers everyone was in awe of the band aid job that Savage glass had done on their install. It was like a sailor's convention. The amount of profanity they let rip was at a new level. When I say everyone I mean the window installers, the stucco contractor who was there to finish the work after the window installation, and a general contractor. The original installer for Savage glass had cut around the stucco and cut the tar paper around the door. It was never patched so that it gave water an avenue into my house. I had mentioned a leaking problem to the estimator and installer before the door ever went in, but the leak was a small drip in the picture window above the door that we would see during rain storms. There was no leaking from the door to the inside of the house. After they installed the door, it leaked along the entire door, filling a gallon pitcher, during a moderate rain storm, on the inside of the door on one side. On the other side we had to use a large cake pan to catch the other drips because the leaks spanned about a foot to a foot and a half. I called them after the installation last year when I noticed the leaking and all they did was pass the blame on to the stucco contractor. When Savage installed the new door, it didn't exactly fit because it was slightly smaller than the original door. Instead of fixing the obvious problems and framing the door so that it would be a tight fit, they slapped on some particle board and flashed over the door onto the stucco, trapping water behind the door and against the bare wood because the paper had been cut. The other problem that resulted in not reframing the door correctly was that the door now stuck out more than the window just above it and so when it rained, the door acted as a dam. The rain would come down the side of the house and sit on top of the door where it would sit and wait until it found a way to the inside of the house. The day after I discovered the extent of the damage, I went over to Savage glass and talked to Bret, the manager. He did all the right things acted shocked and appalled. He denied that his installer cut the stucco, said they never do it. Until the contractor who was there when he did it, confirmed that his installer did indeed cut the stucco. After that he showed the proper amount of empathy which I'm sure turned into apathy once I left. He said he'd send out some of his guys to look at the damage. The guys never showed up and I was left holding the bag for the thousands of dollars it cost to have someone else fix and properly install one of Savage Glass's doors. I've seen many other companies with the same model as Savage operates under. Get as much money as you can as quickly as you can and customer service be damned. I can't imagine repeat customers are an issue that Savage has to worry about.

We've had the windows now for over a year and they're still perfect. They're way more high quality than the two windows installed a few years prior for twice the cost. Wish we would have found them before! I've called a few other companies to bid our basement windows and again (a year later), these guys were over $2k cheaper. When we have the funds for those to be replaced, they'll definitely be the company we go with. We will definitely be calling these guys whenever we need windows replaced from here on out.

Our front door was rotted and awful when we bought the house and after much shopping around we decided on Peach Building Products for our new entryway. We went down to their showroom and picked out the door we wanted. Jeremy was amazing from beginning to end. He listened to what we wanted and when they didn't make a transom in the style of glass we wanted he designed and built us a custom transom using a tall door glass laid sideways. He was concerned that the glass would not line up "perfectly" to the sidelights and that it would be off about 1/4" - 1/2" on each side. You can hardly tell as he did such a great job. After installation, he turned us on to the stain professionals that stained it to look just like wood. During installation, they found a problem with the concrete but fixed it and didn't charge us any additional above his original quote. I get compliments all the time on our lovely new front entryway. I highly recommend Jeremy and his team of professionals. Great job!
