The sultans palace featured to statue elephants in the room, a very large Jacuzzi tub for two, a waterfall shower, a TV with lots of movies to choose from, and a small picnic table for food, card games, and just hanging out. I was most excited about the Jacuzzi tub for two. It definitely heat it up quick, but it was very relaxing to feel the jets against the body after a long work week. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. I always bring my own pillows when traveling via car, but the bed was super comfortable, and I was able to fall asleep with ease. The room was very clean, spacious, and inviting. Complementary breakfast was nice. They actually had some gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. Was pleasantly surprised. Overall, one of the better themed hotel stays I've ever experienced. We'll definitely come back again.

My husband booked our room over a month in advance, and we reserved the Hollywood Suite, which was the room we had always wanted to stay in. A week before our stay, they called my husband and told him that room was no longer available, even though it had already been reserved for weeks. He requested another Diamond Suite, and they told him not to worry because the Marble Suite was available. We checked in at 4:00 PM. The room was much smaller than expected, and the wine my husband paid for and specifically requested was not in the room. The spa essentials were there, so we decided not to make a fuss at first. After dinner, we returned around 9:30 PM and tried to use the spa bathtub, which is one of the main reasons people stay at this hotel. The water was extremely hot, and when my husband tried to turn it down, the water would not shut off at all. The water became so dangerously hot that we quickly jumped out to avoid getting burned or injured because we had no way to stop it. We had to get out, get dressed, and call the front desk. Joann came to our room, and instead of trying to problem-solve or reassure us, she immediately said there were no rooms available and asked whether we planned to stay or leave. Rather than helping us find a solution, she seemed more focused on getting an answer from us than resolving the issue itself. From the moment she arrived, we felt like she was more than happy to see us leave instead of trying to save our anniversary experience or help make things right. We asked if the issue could be fixed first. Maintenance came, and after we waited in our car for about half an hour, the tub was still not properly fixed. The maintenance employee, Donny, was shocked that no one had tried to move us and confidently told us that we would absolutely receive a full refund because of the situation. He seemed certain that this was the obvious outcome. Later, when my husband spoke with Joann and referenced what Donny had said, she immediately shut it down and said he could not make those statements and should not have said that. It was incredibly frustrating to receive completely conflicting information from staff while already dealing with a ruined anniversary evening. We were then told the faucet had been stripped and that pliers could be left for us if we wanted to try using the tub ourselves. We did not feel comfortable with that at all. The whole reason we stayed there was for the themed room and spa tub experience, and that experience was completely ruined. We ended up checking out before midnight and driving 45 minutes home to Mountain Home. What made this even more frustrating was how everything was handled afterward. We were not offered any refund, partial refund, credit, or even another stay at a later date. Nothing. We were simply told that "a manager would contact us." There was no attempt to make things right, no empathy, and no effort to save our anniversary experience. The property itself also feels very neglected. The hallway carpets looked filthy and stained and honestly did not appear to have changed much since we stayed there 8 years ago. For $300-$400 a night, this is unacceptable. The staff overall seemed undertrained, overwhelmed, and not equipped to handle guest issues with even basic hospitality. This place could be amazing if the owners invested more into maintenance, staffing, and customer service. Unfortunately, our anniversary night was ruined, and my husband and I have decided we will never stay there again. For anyone considering spending this much money on a room here, think carefully. You are paying for an experience, and sadly this was nowhere close to one worth paying for.

My room had a large mural describing different regional flowers, which was a really unique and interesting touch. Everything worked well and was in excellent condition. I feel like lots of hotels I stay in lately have rooms with really poor lighting, but that was not the case here - the ceiling lights actually lit up the whole room and there were also bedside and desk lamps. Bed was very comfortable. All of the appliances and fixtures worked great. Instead of a coffee maker, they provided an electric kettle with Form & Function coffee steeping bags and a variety of Stash tea. As a tea drinker, I appreciated this because it works way better than using the hot water from a coffee maker. Also, what a great idea to have the in-room power controlled by inserting the room key! I did notice the loud music from the bars in the evening, but with the windows closed, it was at a low enough level that it just registered as white noise to me, and I'm someone who is very sensitive to noise. However, my room was front-facing; it may be a different experience for rooms facing the back alley. Noise-proofing within the hotel seemed pretty good - I barely heard any noise from neighbours in their rooms, and nobody was loud late at night. The coffee shop in the lobby was also fantastic. The location is also a big plus ; easy access to the Greenbelt, nearby restaurants, and a great area to just relax and enjoy your time. What we appreciated most was how the space made us feel; relaxed, present, and able to slow down for a bit. Only small note would be the stairs to the bathroom, but it wasn't a big issue for us. Again the salmon and veggie accompaniment were delicious. I also have to give a shout out to the seasoned fries. They aren't like McDonald's fries but they were crispy and very favorable. I would definitely order them again. I am definitely considering going back to try out the adult grilled cheese. The description sound enticing. All in all I'd recommend a visit to Iconic for dinner ( on days they aren't closed for a special event). On par with the chorizo on the tasty scale was the Croquetas, they were melt in your mouth goodness. The lamb chops had great spicing and great flavor. They came to our table cooked medium instead of medium rare, but it did not matter much, they were delicious and tender The absolute winner of the evening was the lamb shank and the reason for 5 stars. There was a copious amount of fall off the bone tender meat on the shank. They give a knife, but really, none is needed. The wonderful flavor was enhanced by what tasted like a red wine reduction sauce that was expertly prepared. This is a signature dish (In My Opinion). The Leku Ona salad was very nice. It featured a lot of olives that were awesome. The dressing was perfect. For dessert we shared Chocolate Goxua, which seemed a lot like a flourless torte. It was amazingly rich and decadent and was topped off with real whipped cream. Addictive. The focus of the ambiance seemed to be the central large bar which thankfully was quiet on our visit. Most Hyatt Place properties have basically the same layout which I love. Unlike other properties of this caliber, the rooms were equipped with actual glass cups, heavy quality glass cups that were really appreciated. It's upsetting to pay a premium for a room and have to put up with paper or plastic cups, which cheapens the whole experience! The rooms are very spacious, modern, comfortable (from the beds to the chairs and couches) and depending on where you stay, are kept relatively clean and looking nice. Coming in on a Friday night, with our room facing the parking lot, there was some Friday night motorcycle noise, but not so much that sleep was interrupted. The Hyatt Place in Meridian is in a great location, central to Boise, Meridian (read great upscale shopping center), and everything being relatively close to the property (please understand, almost anywhere you go in Idaho, you need a car). The standouts at this property were the *free* breakfast and the staff! The staff was as nice and accomodating as they come! There was one little mistake where we asked for maid service and they heard *no* maid service (not a big deal, we were able to get towels and soaps and etc until they were coming out of our ears, and of course, everyone can make a bed (even tho I was on vacation, but one time isn't a deal killer)). This property has the best yogurt (yes, yogurt)! I have no idea what they put in it, but it tasted great! It was a highlight each and every day of our stay! And "Renatta", (I hope I'm not butchering her name, here), one of the breakfast servers, was the best! Drink too much the night before? Get a hug from Renatta! Had a great night? Celebrate with a hug from Renatta! Heck, just get a big hug from Renatta! She was a bright addition to the staff and personally, she should get a raise and a medal pinned on her chest! It takes a great effort to be that happy in the morning (a non-morning person would know) and she should be rewarded for it! This will be a regular stop on future trips to Boise. Stand out staff, great location and spacious, comfortable rooms and wonderful breakfasts are the reasons to stay!

In the rather large parking lot, people were out street racing and yelling, throwing traffic cones and making a lot of unwanted noise when all we wanted to do was sleep after a long day on the road. The king suite was spacious with new furniture. There was a micro refrigerator ironing board, iron, hair dryer, a new roll of Charmin professional toilet paper and Kleenex brand tissue. There wasn't a microwave in the room but one was in the dining room area on the first floor. There was a small single serve coffee maker in room with a real coffee cup and two small drinking glasses. There was a bar area on the first floor that also offered bar food. We brought a Costco pepperoni pizza which was about 10 minutes away, so I can't comment on the food or bar service. The breakfast buffet was one of best hotel buffets that we've experienced in a super long time. The breakfast staff were on their A game keeping the area clean and restocked. The outside pool and hot tub looked so inviting! Several families were enjoying the outdoor facilities Friday night. Near the back entrance and pool area, there was a nice sized small gym to work out in. They needed to restock their sanitizing wipes because it was completely empty. I meant to let the staff know, but got tied up trying to unpack and catch a few winks before hitting the road again. We definitely will stay at this hotel again, but in an even numbered room facing the back of the hotel to hopefully mitigate any street racing and weekend noises.
