What can I say? It's definitely no Lakeside! Hehe The anchor stores here are the Target and Bed Bath and Beyond. Plus they have a movie theater that is attached. I also like the Amy's Hallmark store bc they have tons of cute jewelry! And I like the shoe store in here too. They even have a Bath and Body Works which is great when they have their super sale! I also like the Dollar Tree in here, very convenient! They even have Christmas decorations where you can take pictures. Oh and they have a Pj's as well! read more

This is probably the worst mall I've ever visited because it was like entering a retail graveyard. There were so few stores and even fewer people inside of it. I could imagine tumbleweeds rolling through the place. A movie theater is in this mall so that's how we ended up walking through to check it out. There's a Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Sears in this mall. Those are the biggest stores. I noticed a college is located in this mall so that probably brings some foot traffic, along with the theater. I just can't see anyone enjoying a shopping experience here because there's not much to choose from. read more

I have a "glass half full" mentality when it comes to good ol' Clearview. It's been there forever and I still find myself there at least couple of times a month. I like that this mall has: Target Bed Bath and Beyond AMC Theater Zea PJ's A nail salon The Dollar Tree Shoe Dept. Bath and Body Works I don't like the: Dingy, smelly, always wet, restrooms Boarded up areas Bungee trampolines - i did this once with my daughter and one of my bands snapped and popped my leg. They couldn't have cared less. Y'all, it huuuuurrrrtttt! I'm glad to have Clearview because It offers a few things that Lakeside can't compete with. It's just not apples to apples. read more

I seriously believe that this mall is only in existence because it would be too expensive to tear it down and maintain the anchor stores of Sears, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Target and the movie theater. Yes, they have a teeny tiny PJ's coffee, but that could be a kiosk inside of Target. They could expand the Bed, Bath and Beyond, because despite the fact that it is 2 stories, if given decent space, they could become uncluttered and more easily maneuvered around. The space for BBB is just too small. The Sears is just ok. I am unsure how much business they do at this location, again, if they had more space, they could do so much better. Target is two floors, but again, if they had space, they could have so much more. I do like the grocery part, but there is so much potential. AMC Palace theaters. Wow. They could really use an overhaul as well. There is a Bath and Body Works store inside, but as I rarely see anyone inside, I can't imagine they get much business. There is a watch repair store, a dollar tree, and several other small stores that look like they are dying inside. Much like this mall. But the anchor stores are their own issue. The food court here. Well, there are more empty spots than there are actual food kiosks. Seriously. And the employees just look sad and miserable. There is an Easter bunny during the spring, and a Santa during December, and I am sure if you wanted your kids picture taken with either, there is probably little to no wait at all. The only parking issues are on the Veterans BLVD side parking lots, as things get crowded. Just drive around to the back, and the parking is so much easier on the other side. Seriously. My suggestion is to gut the inside, expand the major stores, and all will be better, it could be a 5 star mall. The best I can say is that the floors are clean. read more

For the first time in ages, I wondered around the Clearview Mall. Ha! It's barely a mall. Even in it's heyday this place wasn't any great shakes. (I think using the phrases heyday & great shakes in the same sentence makes me 92.) I go to the Target and then Bed, Bath & Beyond gives me the heebie jeebies (what's with me an the ancient phrase today?) because I'm convinced the stock will collapse on my head. I don't really head over to the Sears too much...and then there are the random stores that populate the rest of the space. Gone are the candle store and the Singer sewing machine place, but I just that Blue Cliff Massage school has a storefront...I wonder if they're offering cheap massages. That would make Clearview worth visiting. And yet, I continue to give them 3 stars when really it's a 2 star place. Perhaps I'm just being nostalgic since this was the spot that my dear cousin got into a princess-type argument with a makeup counter rep at Gus Mayer about eighty-bajillion years ago. We were maybe 14 and my cousin gave full on attitude and I have a lifelong fear of makeup counter clerks. read more

I busted my radiator at the Bed Bath and Beyond parking lot at Clearview mall because of concrete debris in the wrong place in the parking lot . I let the employees at the store know and they said they already let security know about this issue and they chose to do nothing about it. Another vehicle got damaged pulling into the same spot as I was walking out . I called security myself and they said maybe we can put an orange cone. They don't care about the well being of customers . I will never return TK that shopping mall snd would not recommend to anyone else read more

There are a grand total of 2 reasons that I ever go to Clearview Mall. 1. Target. 99% of the time, I don't set foot in the rest of the mall. 2. Santa Claus. I'm not sure where they found this particular Santa, but I will keep going back once a year as long as he keeps returning. For my baby's first Christmas last year, we searched for a LONG time for an authentic-looking Santa Claus. The one at Lakeside was too skinny. The one at Oakwood didn't have a real enough beard. The one at Esplanade always seemed to not be there when we arrived. Finally, someone recommended Clearview. Since I really don't think of Clearview as a real mall, it never would have even crossed my mind... Santa at Clearview? We ventured over there, and sure enough, a kind, patient, authentic looking Santa and only 1 person in line ahead of us. We returned today to have this year's Santa photos taken. Sure enough, it was the same wonderful Santa from last year. The baby was significantly more terrified this year and would not stop screaming, but Santa was patient and held her though the entire thing. He even rewarded her with Ghiradelli chocolate peppermint bark afterwards (probably sponsored by some chocolate shop in the mall - but still... Ghiradelli instead of a candy cane? Heck Yeah!). Oh, and he threw in another one for me too :) The photos are well done and reasonably priced compared to the other malls. Highly, highly, highly recommended for Santa. Not so much for the "mall" factor. read more

I'm surprised that this mall is still here.. lol. It is a GREAT location, right off the interstate and busy Veterans and Clearview intersection. But it really doesn't have anything to offer, other than Target. Excuse me, Sears too--- I guess. I pick up a few dollar store items every now and then. And Bath and Body Works has nice holiday deals. But other than that- I really don't have reason to come here. If I want to go see a movie, I definitely pick the one a little further in Harahan. Beware of the mall restroom near the food court!! Holes in the walls that could be peep holes! read more

This is a sad, sad mall. Lord, please take it out of its misery. Target and BBB are obviously the only things keeping the lights on. A Dollar Tree right next to the Sears is the star on this Christmas Tree of fail. You can visit every store in this mall, including eateries, in 15 minutes. No Forever 21, no Charlotte Russe, no Journeys, Spencers, Victoria Secret, no Apple Store. No American Eagle, Aeropostale, or A&F. Not even a Sharper Image. Those stores will pretty much set up on the back of a camel if they thought they'd get foot traffic. I was stuck here as my car got detailed across the street. Thank heavens I spent an hour at Hooters. Only 45 depressing minutes to burn. On the bright side, it is clean. And on the back they have Twin Peaks (see my review) and a movie theater. Let's be honest. If you're looking for a mall to fulfill mall-going needs, you're going to go to Lakeside. Clearview is one of those malls with weird knockoff-of-chains stores. An off-brand mall, if you will. What it's got going for it: - An AMC movie theatre that does $5 movies Monday-Thursday before 6pm. - Target (technically a part of this mall; in reality, it's own separate, superior entity) - Not as depressing as the Esplanade Mall (although THEIR Target is newer and shinier) What it doesn't have: -Decent food. All the shops in this food court look sad and empty, frequented only by tweenagers sharing a small order of fries while waiting to be picked up by their parents. I also got food poisoning at this Zea's, so I will hate it forever. -Any store that you would want to go to, ever. If you need to buy LSU gear, bed, bath, or beyond items, chocolates, or athletic shoes, you could choose literally anywhere else in the GNO area and it will be a better use of your time. -A terribly designed parking lot that makes me want to stab myself in the eye. Unless you're trying to lose weight and are trying to park 1 mile away from the movie theater, in which case I suppose this is a blessing in disguise. read more

I've never seen this place as a mall, but more of a movie theatre with shops. I've only gone here for the parade route behind the mall and the AMC Theatre. But recently, this mall has made a humorously wise purchase for the activity section of the food court. Near the photo booth and candy dispenser trolley sits a hurricane assimilator box where you can experience hurricane force winds...right in the mall! I wouldn't have noticed it if it wasn't for a bunch of teenagers jokingly screaming from inside the box. Btw this thing only fits maybe 2 people comfortably. So my large guy friend and I decide to pay $2 to give this ridiculous womp womp contraption a whirl. The box is clear with a clear plastic door for rightful public humiliation, then the air-conditioner above head starts blowing hard cold wind for about 1 minute. So we did what anyone should do, we jumped around and screamed bloody murder for 60 seconds. This machine, I believe, perfectly explains this mall. You don't come here to shop. You come here for something to do if you're 16, only have $10, and desperately seek attention from your friends. Stay fierce ClearView. read more

Clearview always found a way to survive by having non-Traditonal stores setup shop. For example, Bed Bath & Beyond, Target and Twin Peaks are normally stand alone stores but here there is always a crowd. I guess once again Convenience is the attractive trait. This is not the best mall, but it gets by since its anchored by the area's only Target and Sears stores. The décor is dated and the general selection of stores is nothing exciting. PROS: Convenient location, Target, Sears, Bed Bath & Beyond, Palace Movie Theatre, Zea's. CONS: Everything else. Ever since I can first remember going to Clearview it was a dead mall. I guess some where around the early 2000's they did a pretty large remodel but it just has gone back down hill from there. The common areas inside of the mall are typically grungy -- especially the bathrooms accessed by a somewhat sketchy long hallway. I don't know if you can really call this a legitimate mall. It has a Target, an AMC theater and a few shops here and there, but it's really nothing spectacular. I don't even think that anyone would go out of their way to go to this mall. It's more of a nice place to walk around while you are waiting for your movie to start. i like how the mall is . i love target too. good thing is that its right round amc movies! can u say WIN!!!!!!!!!!! however i realized that its a mall with really nothing mall worth. variety of stores are slim so i give it 3 stars. lol. hahahahahah fahreal. i go to dollar store and rack up on goodies before i go to the movies...its a mall after all. I like clearview because its convenient and there are varieties if things to shop from. I also loved the Target and Bed Bath and Beyond too! Decent mall, not too many selection of stores but overall was a nice mall.

I was in New Orleans visting family for thanksgiving holidays and i wanted to catch a movie. So i looked up the nearest movie theater in new orleans and this location came up so i turned my gps on my phone on and headed straight over to this place. I had some time before my movie started so i browsed around the mall and it was all over with in less than 10 minutes front to back. Clearview mall is not a very huge mall and not a lot of traditional stores you would see at a bigger and busier mall but hey sometimes i don't want to deal with a crowd so that can be someway of a win. read more

It is a mall with your basic mall type stores inside. However, it probably the best mall in the New Orleans area. There are lots of stored here and it is where the neighborhood folks do their shopping. As in most malls, most of the stores do not have much for me. However, I do like the Cafe du Monde and sunglasses stand. That is about it. The popcorn bistro place has charm as well. read more

Someone needs to clean the restrooms better near the movie box office on the first floor!

I worked at this mall for almost 2 years and I can say without a doubt in my mind that this mall should close down the experiences I had here where awful to say the least the security guards are rude out of line and border on harassment (I don't drive (I know that's a bad thing but I have my reasons) the guards made my ride leave without me a number of times making me walk the streets after 11:30 at night and they scream at under age visitors with the parents present) the food court sells bad and or old food that has made employees and customers sick the pep & rule agreement makes it hard for people who work in the quarter to work here not to mention the management teams are very dictator like in their work I am done with this mall and will not ever or very rarely ever work or come here again the only thing that saves them is the movie theater and maybe bbb and target without them this mall is done read more
