Not bad. Ordered the gyro and the meat was great taste and tender whise. There was alot of it almost too much but hey I tather have alittle to much then not enough. Sauce was ok, it was a little thicker and bitter then I'm used too, but this will not stop me from going again. Great location, clean, family relax style and take out very easy and quick. This restaurant is good if you want a change of pace. We were the only ones in the restaurant at the time. It could be a combination of the unsightly decor outside, and even worse location... Perhaps we hit them at one of their more stagnant times. But it was close to the house, and different -Mediterranean food is always refreshing. This review is definitely more in-depth because I've been meaning to Yelp this from the get go, but never really total around to it. Until now. Anyway, the menu had plenty of options. Not too much to be overwhelming, but not too sparse to seem like you're pinned to the wall with only one way to run. For the appetizer, we decided on their Spinach Roll (3 triangles of spinach-stuffed pastry) and Baba Ghanoush (puréed eggplant, served with six pieces of warm pita); with our main course being a Falafel Wrap (a burrito-ish wrap made with pita, lettuce, tomato, pickle, hummus, and the main attraction: falafel -a patty of deep-fried, ground chickpeas). I'd like to say that good or not, $20 is a steal when dining for two. The server seemed friendly and welcoming, but more importantly -to my boyfriend who drinks like a fish, his/our water glass(es) stayed full -that's a must for me. THE FOOD!!! Spinach Rolls -- the verdict: It was very lackluster. They held potential to be a pillow of vegetarian heaven, but they fell short. Regardless if they may have been frozen and re-heated (let's be honest, we've probably found ourselves eating a nuked frozen pizza roll -and ENJOYING it), it still wasn't worth the time, or even the very low cost. However, our second appetizer, the Baba Ghanoush was delicious. It had a pomegranate vinaigrette drizzled over it that will leave a lasting impression on your taste buds. Sadly, the pita was clearly frozen (or maybe we just caught it on a bad day) and almost unpleasantly chewy. The main course was a reasonably sized falafel wrap ($4.50!). Maybe easily compared to a microwaveable burrito you'd find at the supermarket. This falafel wrap was one of the best my boyfriend has ever had (taking second place in comparison to the falafel from Saj Mediterranean Grill). It was sauced just enough, which is always a plus. The veggies were fresh and flavorful, but the flatbread itself really brought the whole thing down from foodgasm to "oh, a little to the left... no, you missed it". It was a bit stale, and like our pita slices, hard to chew. However, I can still forgive it for it's insanely good price and delicious insides. Besides, if after-school specials taught me anything, it's what's on the inside that really matters. I'd say this was pretty good. Portions weren't so great, but I'm willing to forgive that. Check out Cleopatra if you feel like taking your appetite on an affordable trip to something new, and slightly exotic. read more

This place serves one of my favorite kinds of food and they make it really well. The vegetation sampler is really good and the falafel is really good, outstanding. Typically neither my boyfriend or I really care for dolmas but their dolmas are so good, we both enjoy them. Every time we've gone we've been really happy with everything. First off, let me say that I'm a big fan of local, family-owned restaurants because that is usually where the best food comes from. BUT, on this occasion, I was sadly disappointed. After reading all the bad reviews on here, I decided to give it a try myself because I really wanted this small family to succeed. After dinner at this place, I decided to sign up here just to let everyone know, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! My family of four plus our friends came with us for a total of six people, on a Saturday night. When we got there, it was dead empty. We should have taken that as a sign and ran as fast as we can. My husband ordered a gyro, my son ordered the lamb shank, and I ordered the special meat combo to share with my daughter. My friend also ordered the same to share with her husband. We both thought that based on the description given that the $20.00 entree would be big. First we all got our salads and it was sooooo sour that none of us could eat it. I tried adding a little of salt in mine and that helped a little. Then we all got our entrees and.......the special meat combo was soooo little, barely enough to feed one person. We had rice, which was really hard and dried up. 6 pieces of overcooked meat about 1 inch cubed, no seasoning in the meat so I had to add lots of salt, but was still very dry and tough to eat due to the overcooking, and lots of hummus and pita bread that was old because we literally had to chew it off. This is 19.99????? RIDICULOUS!!!! What a ripoff. My husband's gyro was sub-par, no special seasoning on the meat, and my son's lamb shank was old and dried up, you can see the tomato sauce that was use to braise in dried up on the bone. It was also hard and tough to eat like the other meats. There was also no seasoning at all used. My family of four bought 3 items and our total came up to $54.92. WHAT A RIP-OFF!!!! I cannot stress enough: DO NOT GO HERE, IT IS YUCKY OLD FOOD AND A RIP-OFF. Seems like the owners only want to take your money because they don't seem to care about their food. Food is so-so for the price that you pay for them. Although the flavor of my appetizer and entree was good, I felt that it was lackluster the couple times I've been there. There's nothing too special about this place, except that it is nearby Mediterranean and there's really nothing else around that can compete. I go here if I am out of options. Came into eat on a weekday at 2pm. Pretty clean but the table cloths had stains/grease on them, so I didn't touch the table. TV had satellite music videos of Greek music I believe, but it was terrible because it skipped for the duration of our visit. The iced tea was more like lemon water. The falafel was great, crispy outside and moist inside. The gyro was small but cheap, suggest you ask for double meat and side of feta. The french fries were frozen from a bag. Pretty cheap to eat there but the quality of the food and the atmosphere will keep me away from this place indefinitely. read more

Ordered 4 shawarmas, to go. For the price paid ($6.00+tx each), the portions were very small and not felt like getting the expected value for the money. On the positive side, they were very flavorful (albeit the flavor came rather from the sauce, which was a garlic kind of sauce, not humus). The pita seemed to be home made but it was mushy / rubber-like taste. The chicken meat inside seemed ok, but not impressively-tasty. One cannot pick and chose what they want in their shawarmas. Also, no potatoes (or rice) - everything else was considered "extra". The owner seemed authentic (Egyptian). This establishment doesn't seem to be specialized in catering for to-go: had to wait for approx 15 minutes, perhaps that's a good sign due to making everything from scratch? Not sure. Will not go back. For $2.00 more, Oscar's approx. in the same area is a better choice (large / satisfying portions but they do mostly gyros and kebabs, not shawarmas). I miss the swarmas made by "Shawarma Mediteraneean Grill" in Denver South Centennial (on Dry Creek Rd & University), which felt super-authentic, large and nobody else could beat their reasonable price ($6.50+tx). read more

We come here at least once a month when my husband is home. He loves the gyro plate and I love their chicken or lamb kabob. The couple that own the restaurant are very friendly and service is efficient and pleasant. We live very close, so this is a go-to on a regular basis. Excellent food and fairly large servings at typical prices. They would REALLY benefit from a location change, however. This place is nearly impossible to find or see from Federal, so it's no surprise that they get few customers. When you open a restaurant, LOCATION COUNTS. Just suck it up and pay the extra rent for a GOOD location; if your business fails, at least then you know it wasn't the location--it was probably your food, service, prices, decor, etc. But at least you gave yourself a good chance to be visited by the people with the wallets whom you want to contribute to your income. read more

We had the cheese pie for an appetizer and I had the chicken kabob's with garlic sauce. The dish came with rice and a salad. It was all very good. The chicken was fresh and grilled to perfection. For dessert we had kunafa, which was very good as well. Service was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place and will be back soon. read more

This restaurant was absolutely fantastic! I went with a large group of people for my 30th birthday and they were more than happy to accommodate everyone. The food was great. I really loved the gyros, the falafel and the lamb pie. In addition to the great food, the staff made our visit really enjoyable. The woman who waited on us was so friendly and helpful. My fiancé and I love this place! We eat here often. The service is great, the food is delicious and is usually brought out very fast.

If you get an entree meal you are getting two meals essentially. The salad you get is like a dinner salad you pay 9 bucks for somewhere else and tastes fresh with their house dressing ( a type of oil and vinegar base). I had the chicken sultani which was excellent and their rice tastes fragrant. I feel that I got an excellent meal for an excellent price. read more

Food was good, especially the gyros. I don't recommend the meat combos. You actually get more meat in the gyros than the meat combo. Order the gyro, rice and hummus on the side and you will probably pay less than the meat combos. Overall, service and food was good. read more

Update: We ordered take out and the food was no where near the same quality. The lamb was overcooked and tough and the rice was weird instant rice. Suggestion: this is a great restaurant if you eat in and do not order the rice! The lamb might still be ok in house, that is yet to be decided. read more

What an awesome place! I arranged a birthday party here for a group of 15 people. The staff was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with, they called to remind me of my reservation, and the service during the dinner was above and beyond! Our server took extra special care of all of the guests, and even gave our guest of honor a gift from the restaurant! I'm a fairly picky eater, and I can say that I loved the food here. WERE IN LOVE!!!! We love Mediterranean food but hate that all the best places are a 30+ min drive. Recently we spotted this place while driving on 104th and decided to try. Everything there is amazing. The hummus is fantastic. The gyro plate, beef kabob, chicken Sharma and the Kiki** (SP) was great!! We love there food and will def go back. The staff there is very friendly and kind also. I would recommend them to anyone! They also mentioned while we were in that they are adding delivery for Fri/Sat/Sun! read more

Pretty decent middle eastern food. It was dead there, but I don't know why. The portions were more than enough, and the food tasted great. This is mine and my wife's second time here, and both experiences were pleasant and tasty. I had the pie combo, and the spinach, cheese, and meat pies were equally delicious. I'm not a huge fan of their baba ganoush - it seemed a bit too smoke-forward and the pomegranate sauce they put on it is a bit too bitter. I did really enjoy their pitas and hummus, and the service was cordial and friendly. I'm looking forward to going back for the gyros now that I've read some other reviews! Wish more people would go check this out so it wasn't so awkward being the only people waited on! read more
