1am Indian food? This is your spot. Some friends told me about this late night eat and we ended up popping in after a concert downtown. I was overwhelmed at the amount of menu choices, as well as interesting fusion items. The Tikka masala calzone and gaia Tikka masala burger both sounded awesome, but I decided to start small and just got the chicken curry. You had a choice of spice levels and I went with medium. Curry was good, not the best I've ever had, but for the late night option, surely some of the best you'll get at that hour..also wished service was a bit smoother. Had to request water refills as well as condiments that our table needed. Overall though, a great late night option. I will be back to try the fusion items. read more

This restaurant has savory delicious food when you are hungry and it stays open pretty late for a Boulder restaurant. A friend of mine took me to The Hill in Boulder when I was visiting him. Service was good and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant is clean. The menu is a bit overwhelming but it is definitely college comfort food. It is understandable that there are a lot of options to choose from. I ordered the lamb shawarma (spicy) and cajun fries. There are four different spice levels to choose from and I chose the third spice level. It definitely packed a punch. The next time I eat there I will definitely choose the second spice level. The only thing I did not like about the shawarma were the pickles. It was a strange combination of flavors paired with spicy lamb. The cajun fries were tasty plus the order comes with a lot of fries. I couldn't even finish them. They were a great snack the next day once I threw them in my air fryer. The next time I visit Boulder I will stop by this place. read more

They were super busy as you can imagine but said we could order as take out & seat ourselves on the stools by the bar area. Can't complain! Place has a Wonderful arrays of Asian , American & middle eastern fusion food mix. Food was surprisingly delicious! Service was excellent . The food here is delicious and on top of that the prices are unbeatable especially in Boulder. They dont have just burgers here, so check the menu. If you bring a friend and split a pizza it's even cheaper. The spice here is actually good for those that have spice tolerance. If you don't have any tolerance, thats okay. They have a mild or no heat level as well. My friends and I asked for extra sauce and we got four extra sauces, which taste amazing, but the staff was nice about it and didn't mind. Very welcoming. For late night food on the hill it's fine but I honestly was not impressed. It did smell good in there but man the food was mediocre. The chicken tikka burger was alright and the beef burger my friend got was like rubber according to him. I though the place was poplin with college action from the looks of it but when people are drinking I guess everything tastes good? The Indian food is probably what I would try to get next time I'm in town. The fact that I walked up the hill after this to go grab a slice of pizza at 314 says a lot... The food has always been really good. We love the vegetarian masala burger. The downside is that they make it difficult to order with online menus that aren't correct and if you call, they can't hear you well due to the BLARING music so they yell and you try to articulate well while yelling your order. Then when you go to pick it up, again, music so loud that you literally can't think or speak to anyone. Just STUPID! We would eat here more often if ordering wasn't so difficult. read more

I've been here four times and this last time by far has been the worst! The chicken shawarma was awesome, but if you ask for extra spice there is no heat to the spice and whatever they put on there is incredibly bitter to the point the food was inedible! Also charging 8$ for a full order of fries and getting that 'full' order as a side was incredibly disappointing. On another note their mango lassi while good is too expensive for how much they water it down. Last time I went it was nearly water with a drop of yogurt! Really liked this place I wonder why the quality dropped so steeply :( read more

Highly recommend. It was a bit pricey but the masala pizza was so good especially with the three dips. Honey wings and butter chicken with garlic naan was really good too. The chicken was $19 but they did substitute the garlic naan for the rice with no extra charge. Ambiance is ok but the service was really good. Would go back. read more

Gaia Masala & Burger has been on my radar for a bit, but hadn't been in till this evening when after a concert we stopped in for a late dinner. This Desi woman wanted to check out the fusion chicken tikka masala cheesecake, and it did deliver, with flavorful chicken, crisp lettuce and a lovely raita in a crispy on the outside, softer on the inside hoagie roll. My husband and I also tried saag paneer and alu paratha. Both perfect and now know where to get a paratha fix any time of day or night. Lastly, totally relished the mango lassi, tasted just like the ones we would make at home growing up. This is definitely a college hangout, counter service with ordering at the counter and food brought to the tables. Decor is fairly minimal but upbeat music and a few televisions on the walls. But this was exactly the experience one craves for when thinking of late night eats - only more elevated. The best we could do with late night food when I was in college was a pizza stand, this spot with all it's Desi, Middle Eastern and American selections, takes the prize for Boulder. We are lucky to have it here! San and other team members were so pleasant and helpful, as well as patient as I tried to decide what delicious options to choose. I didn't check on this but if they ever do halvah poori I will be there every weekend morning! If not, I will make this part of our rotation when we eat out. A little note that the medium spice is definitely on the upper side of medium but the flavors were so well balanced it wasn't overwhelming. Overall, a wonderful late dinner experience. read more

Where to begin! It's open late (yay?) but it's overpriced (not yay) and half horrible ingredients. I will break this up in two parts: Spice? Well, let's be honest, Boulder doesn't know spice and this place is on par for Boulder, even when I explain my spice threshold. But I get that. It's a town with little spicy food so maybe they didn't believe me. Plus, spicy is relative (though I did explain my background with spice...I tend to knock a place down one star when they told me they made something spicy for me and it's...well, bland). Quality. Again, open late on the hill is great. I think there should be at least 3 inexpensive places open 24 hours in a serious college town....but this was not inexpensive. My boyfriend & I decided to share both the tikka masala burger (which immediately caught our attention) and the lamb korma, my go-to order. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the tikka masala burger! It came with "meat, shredded lettuce, chopped mint, diced red onion, diced cucumber, and tikka masala sauce." My only complaint was the amount of grease - the burger came wrapped, and after opening it there was liquid pooled on the top bun. We ordered extra tikka masala sauce on the side, and it went super well with the fries! The lamb korma here was amazing - super creamy with a great flavor. There was a ton of lamb included which I really appreciated! I would for sure order this again. Gaia Masala and Burger is in a great location to stop by with friends while walking around the town.
