    Lamb Kebab

Second visit and for an early dinner. Walked in while doing some shopping in the area. Last time was during lunch and the shakshuka is phenomenal!! Ordered fried pickles, fries, and the lamb kebab entree. Pickles were great and had a nice tzatziki style sauce. Fries were seasoned, tasty, but not crunchy enough for me. Kebobs were solid, perfectly cooked, tender, but lacked a bit on seasoning. Overall solid experience, attentive staff, and clean Located in highlands, so parking can be a bit tough, great if you are visiting other shops before dining.

Mazevo is located along Tennyson St among many other fantastic shops and eateries to stop in. My girlfriend and I were hungry but also wanted to have a healthier lunch while walking around. We were in luck when we happened to walk by Mazevo! First impressions were that the interior was very nice with a lot of seating and a large bar as well. The shakshuka was very good with PLENTY of flavor. It was honestly a bit more flavor than I prefer but I like my food on the blander side so can't complain there. Eggs were cooked very well sunny side up. The combination of the spices, runny yolk, cheese, and the French baguette were awesome. My girlfriend ordered the chicken shawarma plate and it was slightly salty but again we prefer our food on the blander side. Service was awesome. We were checked in on frequently with waters cups always full. The server wiped down our table because some water spilled and then swapped out my baguettes with new ones because he was concerned that some dust may have gotten on them. I said it was ok but it was a nice gesture. Last thing I'll touch on is the pricing. The pricing is honestly not bad at all considering the generous portions and especially the location. Most places on Tennyson tend to be on the pricier side but Mazevo seems very reasonably priced. I look forward to going back to Mazevo for a healthy, reasonably-priced meal again in the near future and recommend others to do the same!

Everything was flavorful - Excellent chicken shawarma, creamy baba ghanoush and lamb tagine brimming with flavors. Service was top notch and quick. I might be back for their shawarma! Recommend this place if you're in the mood for some authentic Mediterranean food on Tennyson.

My favorite Mediterranean place in Denver. I really like how I can get a reservation at any time and don't have to deal with booking months or weeks in advance. They have a nice bar too that I've sat in for a solo dinner. For food, my favorite is probably the gyro plate. The sample platter is nice to get to try multiple things but the best appetizer is the lamb ragu. The only disappointing thing I've had from here is the pickled veggies - the pickles were just from a jar so I wouldn't recommend that dish. Otherwise the pita, spreads and mains are great. Service is also always really attentive. Definitely must try.

The service and food here were fine. I enjoyed the starter/small plates more than my actual meal. I wish the lamb kabobs had more flavor. I did really like the baba ghanoush and labneh with the bread.

Receipt (overall great price for 2 people), but highlighted the drink sent back 2x for "debris" still on the bill

I was very excited to try this restaurant with my partner to celebrate a special occasion. We showed up and were seated right away, which was great. We were seated in the front area (pictured) which I think is the cutest part of the restaurant, it has a quaint garden-like feel. Until looking it up, we were under the impression that the place had just recently opened due to the service. We could from our table hear servers questioning who had what table at the host stand, often saw food come out to the wrong table, and we were unsure of if there were individual servers or a shared model because 5 different people came up to us asking for orders. There is definitely room to grow on the service side -- namely prebussing. Tables are small and nobody likes sitting with dirty dishes in front of them especially when staff continues to come by, and particularly when you are seated near the entrance. At one point nearly every table in the front area needed to be bussed while people were sitting, and staff would walk by to fill water or take an order but leave with empty hands (one out, one in service technique) . Another thing to grow upon is drink service/speed. The cocktail menu is lovely, however drinks came out very slow. We had to send a drink back 2 times due to an issue with some "debris" in the cup, and on the 3rd time the issue was resolved. I was surprised, though, at the way it was handled by service (quickly rushed away, not asked if a different drink was preferred) and then still, that drink was on our check. As a guest, it felt like no efforts were made to right the issue (other than remaking it (slowly, and still with "debris" the first time) -- house shot, house dessert, or something to improve customer experience after a situation like that goes a long way :) even an explanation of why it was happening because frankly, it was gross. Clearly the food is made with love and it it was the STAR of the show. It was the best part of the experience -- as it should be! Every bite tasted flavorful, fresh, and just downright delicious. Wish we tried even more, but highly recommend the Harissa Carrots. I also would have liked if our service allowed some time to explain the story of the restaurant and the menu, but instead, things felt rushed and disjointed. Service should be trained on the 2 bite rule as well, as I saw other tables standing up and trying to flag down any server just to get an extra sauce. Just small service improvements will level up the entire guest experience. I look forward to returning and seeing the growth and cohesion of the FOH team, and BOH is already killing it! Great location and ambiance

Very tasty food and great service. Waiter was extremely attentive and the music was great. Lots of laughter in the dining room. I went with the chicken kabob plate and added hummus & pita bread. The bread had a right amount of garlic and the chicken breast was so juicy and flavorful

The buffet allowed me to try everything - and it's nothing like what you're picturing. There was constantly warm, fresh pita to try the hummus, whipped feta and tabbouleh. There was constantly fresh fruit out with honey yogurt that was to die for. While there was a ton of meats and cheeses to try from, the star of the show was the falafel. You can't miss trying it, it was the best falafel I've ever had. The vibes were great for brunch, and I highly recommend going for buffet style if you want to try a bunch of things on the menu.

The restaurant has this nice open feeling to it with a full bar (you can order off the full menu if a solo or pair dining) and then plenty of tables. I recommend coming with a larger group if you can so you can try lots of things. Servers are nice and attentive. Obviously you have to try various hummus plates. The foraged mushroom and brussels sprouts were my favorite. I especially loved the jalapenos on the brussels sprouts one. The hummus itself was creamy and rich and the pita they bring is warm and fresh. The tabbouleh was fine but nothing spectacular and it says it has avocado in it but I didn't detect it. I love muhammara and theirs did not disappoint. The pickled vegetables were nice but I also love pickled anything. Absolutely make sure to get the bright green falafels. Probably my favorite of the night. Perfectly crispy exterior with a soft warm center that I'd eat over and over again. We ordered the duck but I was quite full so did not taste it. The only reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is the scallops were incredibly underwhelming and quite bland. The scallops themselves were cooked fine but no flavor and the pomegranate sauce didn't add much. There desserts were also just so-so.

The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The food is fantastic and the portions are generous. Prices are very reasonable. We shared the Baba Ganoush to start. This is pureed, baked eggplant. The presentation was gorgeous with the puree spread out beautifully on a large dish, topped with olives, paprika, parsley, and a very generous dollop of delicious olive oil. An outstanding version of this dish. We received a large plate of very fresh pita triangles to go with the baba ganoush. These were great. We definitely used them to scrape every speck of eggplant off that platter! We both ordered the Gyro Plate. The gyro meat was very authentic, extremely tender, and very flavorful. The plate included a large tower of savory rice, a rich tzatziki sauce, a nice side of silky hummus, some pickled vegetables, and more pita. Another delicious offering and a huge portion. We also had soup as the entrees come with soup or salad. My friend tried the lentil soup and said it was flavorful and tasty. I had the tomato soup which was hardy and richly-flavored. This was a great meal. There's a pastry case with a choice of many Middle Eastern desserts. It was pretty busy on a Friday night, but we were told that a few customers did not show for their reservation so we lucked out. The hostess was friendly and gave us the option of a booth or the bar. We chose the bar. Corsica has almost what I would call a modernized vintage decor, with high ceilings, brick walls, and interesting light fixtures. It was kind of a stylish warehouse. Upon being seated, we were greeted right away by the bartender who took our drink orders. I chose the Wolfpack, a salty and sweet bourbon cocktail, and my friend chose the Tiki Baby, a tequila cocktail with fruit flavors. Both were delicious and meticulously made. We ordered about four tapas to start with. They honestly came out almost too quickly, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but they came out even before out cocktails were prepared. They did get one of our items wrong, but corrected it by allowing us to keep it at no charge. The food was great, but I liked some items more than others. The stuffed dates were probably my favorite. I was slightly disappointed in the caulini, as it is wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked. Despite the food coming out quickly, we didn't feel rushed at all.
