Ordered via Ubereats and the entree was exactly what I was looking for; lots of hummus, protein and a salad. The chicken had a honey sauce and was pretty tasty. The salad came with the dressing already on it and some of it leaked all over when opening. Dressing aside, the food was delicious.
We decided to try this restaurant since it was close by. Parking is street-only, which is something to keep in mind. Our server was very friendly and offered helpful recommendations. The salad was fresh, and the soup was nicely balanced. We ordered the kefta and kobideh plates--the rice was delicious and fluffy. However, the pita bread was a bit hard, and the meat skewers were slightly overcooked and a bit dry for our taste. We also tried the hot sauce--it wasn't very spicy, more on the vinegary side. The highlight of the meal was definitely the baklava: flaky, flavorful, and not overly sweet.
I've eaten here several times, but had not been in for awhile. I brought a friend. This is a family-run business. The space is basic, but comfortable. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The food is fantastic and the portions are generous. Prices are very reasonable. We shared the Baba Ganoush to start. This is pureed, baked eggplant. Here tahini and pomegranate molasses were added. I am not a big eggplant fan, but this was phenomenal. The presentation was gorgeous with the puree spread out beautifully on a large dish, topped with olives, paprika, parsley, and a very generous dollop of delicious olive oil. An outstanding version of this dish. We received a large plate of very fresh pita triangles to go with the baba ganoush. These were great. We definitely used them to scrape every speck of eggplant off that platter! We both ordered the Gyro Plate. The gyro meat was very authentic, extremely tender, and very flavorful. The plate included a large tower of savory rice, a rich tzatziki sauce, a nice side of silky hummus, some pickled vegetables, and more pita. Another delicious offering and a huge portion. We also had soup as the entrees come with soup or salad. My friend tried the lentil soup and said it was flavorful and tasty. I had the tomato soup which was hardy and richly-flavored. This was a great meal. There's a pastry case with a choice of many Middle Eastern desserts. My friend selected several to take home and we staggered out of the restaurant with lots of leftovers that will make a delightful lunch tomorrow. A wonderful experience.
Everything was delicious. The falafel was my favorite. So crispy and flavorful. I like the crispy seeds on the outside. The chicken plate was good but the chicken was a bit dry/overcooked. The gyro plate with lamb and beef was very nice. The salad, soup, and chai tea were all excellent as well. Id come back!
Everything Was Excellent!! I ordered the lentil soup, dolmades, lamb kabobs, shrimp kabobs, and beef kobideh, and everything was excellent from start to finish. The lentil soup was warm and comforting, and the dolmades came with a side of pickled cauliflower that was surprisingly delicious and added the perfect tangy bite. The lamb kabobs were the standout--amazingly tender and seasoned so well--and the shrimp were just as impressive with a great smoky char. I'd happily come back again.
Great food, good service, amazing baklava!! The falafel is soooooo good, has sesame seeds on them. My friends & I ate in the & it was quiet, I think unless we were just there @ a weird time, they do more of a take out service. Try it out!!
My husband and I were throughly impressed! We had the meat combo platter, which was made up of a variety of skewers, a salad, hummus, pita, and rice. Everything was seasoned to perfection, and the skewers were very tender. Usually we consider the rice a garnish, but their rice was seasoned with cinnamon and saffron- quite the delicious combination! For $1 more you can do a Greek salad rather than a house salad, which I would recommend. My husband was in love with the hot sauce they made in house, although it was a little spicy for a huge bite for me. We initially wanted the kunefa for dessert, but the server said they stopped carrying it because the cheese in it was sourced from Palestine. They served various baklavas instead though, and we tried the dark chocolate one. It was delicious! We loved the balance of syrup to pastry, and the flavor was excellent. Our server was very friendly! The dining room is small so I'm sure they can be really busy, but we went at 3pm on a Saturday and got in quickly. Great food for sure.
Came here for the first time. We ordered the babaganoush as an appetizer. It came with pita bread along with cucumbers and carrots for my gluten free wife. It might be the best babaganoush in the state. We also ordered the shawarma with hummus and the lamb chops. They were both amazing and huge portions. The servers were super friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to come here again.

Found this place on tiktok. They were a business highlighted as somewhere to go during the Colfax construction. It did not disappoint! The food was soo yummy and I e been thinking about the lamb ever since. The service was excellent and everyone was so nice! This will be one a place we always come back to. Highly recommend tackling the Colfax expansion to go eat here!
This is a very good Mediterranean Restaurant. I ordered the Lamb Kebobs for an entree and almond baklava for desserts. The entree came with a very good side salad, hummus, pita bread, rice and vegetables. The lamb was cooked perfectly, and all the side items were delicious. The baklava portion was enormous and delicious. I recommend sharing the baklava, if you are not dining alone. This restaurant is located in Downtown Denver, it was easy to find parking.
I've lived across this spot for 2 years and I FINALLY made it over for takeout. My only disappointment is that I missed out on eating at this place for 2 years!!! This is the real deal when it comes to Mediterranean food. My goooodness. The gyro is some of the best I've ever had. The falafels were soo tasty and fresh. The hummus was unlike any hummus I've ever tried. All in all, this is a high quality Mediterranean spot I highly recommend trying. Great prices too.

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it was a disappointment. The highlights were the lentil soup and the hummus. Both were fresh, flavorful, and the portion sizes were generous. Unfortunately, everything else missed the mark. The chicken kebabs had an unexpected sweetness that just didn't work for me. The side salad looked wilted and didn't seem very fresh, and even the dressing was overly sweet. The rice was bland and had almost no flavor. The biggest letdown was the garlic sauce--it tasted like it was made with mayonnaise instead of a traditional garlic sauce, and I found it unpleasant. The overall atmosphere didn't help. The restaurant didn't seem particularly clean, the décor and ambiance felt like they had been thrown together, and the employees came across as disconnected rather than welcoming or engaged. I can easily overlook a place that's been put together on a budget if the food is outstanding, but in this case, it simply wasn't. Aside from the lentil soup and hummus, I didn't enjoy the meal. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. read more

Yahya's Mediterranean Grill & Pastries will make your tastebuds go "YEAH!" like Lil' Jon in the 2000s. Now, I realize this is a HUGE claim. However, it's 100% true. We ordered Baba Ganoush + Meat Lovers Plate, which included a salad, hummus, pita, rice and three kabobs: lamb, chicken and kafta. Our waitress told us it'd be plenty of food for two, and she was correct. We were completely filled by the time we left. Baba Ganoush: 5+ (best I've had!) Tabouli Salad: 5 (so fresh!) Hummus: 5 (so creamy!) Rice: (I didn't have it.) Lamb Kabob: 5 (so good!) Chicken Kabob: 5 (so good!) Kafta: 5 (so good!) I'd order each again, together or separately. Plus, the Chicken Shawarma as our waitress told us it was her favorite. Overall, everything from the service to the food was outstanding! BONUS NOTE: They have amazingly affordable lunch specials that will make your wallet go "YEAH!", too. read more
The best lamb kafta! It is juicy light brown deliciousness. The huge plate of hummus with chicken is tasty with warm fresh pita. The food came out fast and the hot Turkish tea at the end of meal is perfect. We got baklava to go for late night snack. We traveled to Denver and of course we had to try some local places. For lunch, we tried this place. Located on Colfax st, it is a quite and modest place that could be missed if you're not looking. However, this nice jewel shouldn't be missed if you want tasty Mediterranean food. The service was gentle and quick! Our food was out in the blink of an eye. We ordered the hummus to start. It was creamy and rich in flavor. The presentation was excellent! Then, we ate the chicken shawarma and the gyro plate. The chicken was dry but the garlic sauce helped it with moisture and additional flavor. The gyro was tender and had a nice flavor, but it also was missing being juicy. The tzatziki sauce also helped it. The rice was just as nice as you'd expect. Overall, this was a great and unexpected find during our trip with good food and service. read more
Loved this hidden gem close to the city park. - they have a parking lot - intimate dining space - friendly service Dishes - highly recommend the lamb shank (I didn't wait long for this dish, unlike many other places). It was very tender and served with a dipping sauce and lots of rice - the chicken shawarma is on the lighter side of flavor, and a bit too sweet for my personal liking - it is worth mentioning that the portion is great and I had enough for leftover the next day - I would highly recommend the green salad as the ingredients were fresh and flavor was refreshing read more

Came for their lunch special (weekdays until 3p) which is pretty good! $13.50 for a kebab (or two if you get the ground lamb kebab) with side of salad or soup. I got beef kebab which was delicious and lentil soup which I found really good as well! My friends said they've had better lentil soup (I am not as well versed) but still enjoyed their dishes. They got the ayran yogurt drink which had the signature salty taste and Turkish coffee which was good! Restroom was really nice and had a bidet?! Staff were friendly. Easy parking. read more

We were initially intrigued by their website's photos and options on the menu so we decided to walk over after our visit to Denver Botanic. We were able to be seated right away as a group of 6. Unfortunately, the only available table was right by the window, where it was super sunny and there were no shades, so we were pretty toasty. Our server asked us if we were ready to order after we had barely sat down. We started with the labneh. It was very creamy but definitely lacked flavor and olive oil. The pita did not seem fresh at all. The falafel we ordered was actually pretty good. I liked the addition of sesame seeds. The rest of the food was just fine, but what really disappointed me was the garlic sauce. I always look forward to garlic sauce at Middle Eastern restaurants, and the one we got was not good at all. It had a consistency of Tartar sauce and had a weird sweetness to it. I wouldn't opt for coming here over other places on Colfax. read more

I have really been loving the veggie plate here. The sheer variety of food included in it makes it veggie heaven. You get a little bit if everything. Falafel, tabouli salad, turmeric rice, baba ganoush, hummus and pita, grape leaf, lentil soup. And as a vegetarian leaning person I sometimes find it difficult to get much variety in my diet and this plate really makes up for that. It's a vegetarian feast! And the portions do not disappoint! One important thing to understand about Yaya's is that they are one of the best takeout options in the city. When takeout is usually limited to pizza and Tai food. Yaya's is very good at making their food translate well in takeout form. This may be a result of their small dining room. And they will make things nice for you if you prefer to dine in. But for me, getting to enjoy fantastic, quality food in the comfort of my own home is a huge game c Wether you prefer a nice lamb shank or you are looking for more meat free options the food here is so nourishing and fresh and consistent. It just makes me feel so good even when I eat too much of it. And the veggie plate being a few dollars cheaper gives you one more good reason to go veg! I know that the veggie plate a Yaya's will be something I pine for long after I have left Denver. But I guess it's better to have loved and lost. read more

The best baba ghanoush I have tasted thus far. The grape leaves were a disappointment (slimy). The falafels (appetizer) came out after we finished eating and were overly browned, but still tasty. We had the gyro, too, and it was ok. read more

Ade there vegan options? Is the falafel fried in the same oil as meat?
I can't say for sure but I have not personally seen any mediterranean restaurant that uses Falafel oil for anything else. It would otherwise impact the tase.
Are there vegan options on the buffet?
There is a vegetarian plate that we ordered and it was delicious!

95% of our items is gluten free. Everything is gluten-free on the buffet.…
How is parking?
There's roadside parking and it's pretty convenient. I've been there twice and I didn't encounter any trouble with roadside parking. It's always available.
