Recently visited Cleopatra Ink for their Friday the 13th flash tattoo deal last month. It was such a spontaneous decision since we were passing by the store and decided to check it out. Spoiler alert: I left happy and very satisfied with my tattoo and overall experience! First off, shoutout to the staff for how organized and attentive they were! I've done flash tattoo events before and they can get chaotic real fast. This shop, however, had everything running super smoothly. From checking in, to picking the design, to getting the actual tattoo. The whole process felt professional and well executed compared to other shops. I waited for an hour or so before it was my turn. It was so fitting that they had each employee doing specific roles on this chaotic day. They had people monitoring the line, passing out waivers, and also employees placing the stencils on everyone before we got to our tattoo artists. My specific artist made me feel comfortable and took his time, with the tattoo turning out how I hoped it would with clean and sharp lines. My flash only took 10 minutes and he explained how to clean + take care of it afterwards. My only note would be that I was a bit disappointed to learn we could only do 1 flash each, as a lot of the flashes (including the one I got) are super tiny. Originally, I saw they had advertised we could get however many before. Overall, it's always a risk trying a new shop for a flash deal, but Cleopatra Ink definitely exceeded my expectations! Super clean space, great vibes, and friendly staff. I'm genuinely impressed and would consider coming back for future work! Also random add but parking could be difficult, I had to circle around a few times to find a spot since the shop is located in a very busy area. This review is for my consult experience; I decided to not go with this studio because of it. This is a very nice/upscale studio in Costs Mesa. My appt time was 10:30am on Sat 2/21/26, and they asked me to be there 10 min early, so I was. They checked me in and pointed me to the couches, then just ignored me for 45 min, and finally took me 50 min after my scheduled appt time. No offer for water or coffee/tea, no acknowledgment about the wait (until the very end of my wait). They opened at 10am and weren't doing a damn thing the entire 50 min wait! Two were playing chess when I walked in. When they finally took me, they didn't inquire about my "why" regarding the piece; they just asked for a description and some inspiration examples. They then drew up the design digitally, which was good but not epic. I was only getting black and grey. The price... $2,500 for 8-16 hrs in the chair. Wtf. Even if the piece takes 16 hrs (which I don't think it will), it comes to $156.25 per hr, before tip. Umm, that seems rather steep to me. Their work, from what I've viewed, is good. Studio is professional. Their handling of me for this appointment was offensively impersonal and unprofessional. I will never go back, and hope this review hits a button for them on their lack of care on the customer experience. read more

I went in for my first tattoo, first: Nat at the front put me at ease not to be nervous and made sure when I filled out the waiver that I should eat something beforehand. Second: Neyla was my tattoo artist she did my tattoo from what was designed and planned, put me at ease and to relax and prepare for a 4 hour tattoo. Vibes were immaculate The tattoo artists were just so cool and helped make my experience great. I came for a Friday 13th deal and they were great! I messaged them on Yelp about a nose piercing services, they messaged back fairly fast. Explained the prices to me. The price can be high, but I had a great experience with Nat! She explained to me the procedure, process and it was a bit nerve wrecking, but she managed to calm my nerves. The process was fast, in and out. I came on a Sunday noon with plenty of street parking! Nat was great! Super kinda and professional. Just needed a piecing re-done, was quoted something crazy at another shop. I saw this place on my way home and decided to stop in. So glad I did. The New management, I believe manager name is Emery ? Sorry if i spelled it wrong, but he truly made the difference. He stepped in and helped clear up a confusion that happened prior to his time there. He was extremely understanding, helpful, and made sure I was fully taken care of. I also noticed a small detail I wanted to fix -- no biggie -- and he was super cool about it and reassured me I can come back once healed and they could help with that as well. The tattoo artist, Alec, was very respectful and professional throughout the entire process. We did take more breaks than anticipated (not a bad thing at all, just more than im use to lol ) so I'd just recommend bringing snacks to be prepared or a portable charger lol They provide water, and the environment is bright and very clean. Currently trying to plan my nxt tattoo with The manager :) cant wait! read more

As a memorial piece, it's obvious this tattoo meant a lot to me. The staff was so thorough. I showed them my rough draft and ideas I wanted to incorporate. Together, we fine tuned the piece and I was told the price, time it would take and who would be doing the piece based on expertise. The process was streamlined and smooth. The staff were so kind, considerate and sanitary. I could not be happier, truly. It's by far the best tattoo I have. The shop is beautiful and has fun, whimsical decor. It was extremely clean and I trusted the process entirely. The price seemed steep given I have gotten the other tattoos in the Midwest. But I truly believe you get what you pay for and this piece is priceless. So grateful for Alex, the artist, Nat and other staff that helped me get this done. Highly recommend Cleopatra Ink! My friend and I both walked in and got a fine line tattoos from here this morning. They have great advice as to designs and helped us combine and alter our inspiration photos to make amazing pieces. Our artist was Parviz he specializes in color and realistic tattoos and he did amazing with both of ours. The shop was very quiet and definitely a calm environment for my first tattoo. Most of the artists are pretty quiet but very sweet and obviously dedicated to their art and amazing at it. Both my and my friend's tattoo took about 30 minutes, I was so impressed with Parviz's speed and attention to detail. Mine (rattle the stars) cost $175 and my friend's (the sun and moon) cost $525 after their 30% military discount. Btw their bathroom has the most fun decorations I've ever seen! read more

I will start this by saying that everybody at this shop is friendly and the shop is very nice. That being said, I went for a consultation. I wanted a very specific shark that I had a stencil for. I explained that I wanted it to be as detailed as the stencil and look realistic. The design consultant told me they can add shading and match the stencil. Perfect. I was quoted 900$ which seemed high, but I had the mindset that I was willing to pay the price if it meant having a quality piece of artwork on me forever. I came back a week later for my appointment and we set the stencil. To my surprise the nice lady I had met the week before was not the artist that was doing the work. This was a shock to me but I rolled with it. I had anticipated a 2-3 hour+ session and was prepared. The tattoo took less than 45 mins and it shows. I still tipped the artist and that brought the total to over 1000$. The details were missing, lines were very rough, shading was not great and overall it looked blurry and incomplete. It really bummed me out. Enough to where I didn't even want to show off the tattoo. I ended up going to another reputable shop a few days after and had a consultation to fix it and add more. He was able to rework the shark, add another of the same size with MUCH more detail, AND a full watercolor background around all of it FOR LESS THAN THE 1000 I ORIGINALLY PAYED AT CLEOPATRA INK!!! What a joke. I have seen some of the work they do at cleopatra and it looks great. I'm not sure why that didn't show whatsoever with my tattoo, but I feel like I got scammed.. hard. Save your frustration, time, money, and skin and go somewhere else. Truly a big let down. read more

This review is for the Riverside location unfortunately I do not see a listing on yelp for them . I looked at many places for Piercings. I work in a medical field, so I am extremely picky when it comes to sterility. This place had amazing reviews and Vanesza was highly recommended. I stopped in Vanesza was able to take me back within two minutes. I had three piercings done. It took her all of five minutes for all three she was super sweet. The facility was beautiful and very clean and hygienic. I highly recommend Cleopatra for tattoo and piercings. read more

I had my 10m old daughter's ears pierced, and let me say, Nat is absolutely amazing. she spent extra time calming and playing with my daughter and made her feel so comfortable! The actual piercing was fast and easy and her ears look absolutely perfect! Would highly recommend bringing in your 6m+ babies to get pierced here! read more

I just got a tattoo cover up this past Saturday, May 4th. The shop is extremely clean and bright and I was warmly greeted by one of the managers. The gentleman that did my tattoo was amazing and really did a wonderful job. The manager even told me that once I go home and wait till the tattoo heals, to come back in later so they can take a look and make sure there isn't any touch ups that need to be done. I am extremely happy with the outcome!!! I would highly recommend them to anyone! read more

Worst tattoo shop I've been to. Went in for a consultation and the sketch looked nothing like the example I gave them. Then they quoted $500 for a small tattoo with very little details. The tattoo was literally 2 stars, filled in, no details, and they said $500. Laughable. Lady also had 0 communication skills. Go somewhere else. read more

I came back again to get my other conch pierced, and once again, I had the BEST experience! Nat is truly amazing. Her attention to detail is unmatched, and she always takes her time, checks in throughout the entire process, and makes sure you're comfortable and okay. I genuinely trust her with everything! My previous conch that she pierced healed amazingly, and she even downsized the jewelry for me today! It's honestly so reassuring knowing I'm in such good hands every time I come in. My friend also got her conch pierced today and unfortunately felt a little lightheaded afterward. Nat immediately took care of her, comforted her, fanned her, gave her a lollipop, and made sure she was okay. There was also another worker there who was SO sweet and even bought my friend a soda out of her own pocket. That honestly says so much about how caring everyone there is. The entire workplace environment is so welcoming, kind, and comforting. You can really tell that everyone genuinely cares about their clients and wants them to feel safe and taken care of. Not the best shop in my opinion. They post a lot of eye catching photos that are highly edited to bring you in. When you get there the girl greets you and offered refreshments. No problem with her in my opinion. My problem and frustration is with the "designer" who didn't listen to a damn thing I said about the design I wanted and then continued to pull an image off google/pintrest and call it his own. I thought I would be talking with the actual artist but none of them speak English well so it's hard to even communicate. Not a very comfortable environment for myself personally. They also wanted to charge me over 800$ for a smaller not very detailed Tatoo. I left and went to the og shop out here PC and they took good care of me. Went in for my free consultation and the artist drew up a couple designs based off of my references as soon as I sat down. I didn't think I'd be able to get ink until a later date since it was scheduled as a consultation, but they were awesome and set me up right away. They were super kind and patient, making sure I was really happy with the design, placement, and size before starting. The studio itself was cool and laidback and very comfortable to sit in while waiting and getting tattooed. Was surprised to see a shop actually honoring $13 13th tattoos in 2024- I had to come check it out. It's a very clean shop, with an incredibly clean bathroom, and friendly staff- while everyone was waiting, they served out mimosas and snacks. If you can deal with the large amount of traffic on a busy street, I highly recommend coming here. read more
