Sara is literally one of the dopest tattoo artists. She's so accommodating and friendly. She's still technically appreciating so she's pretty affordable, but her work would have you think otherwise. I don't recommend Ryback. He only cares about money, not what the customer wants. His work can be sloppy. He charged me for two 4 inch long bands but only made them 2.5 inch long. I told him about it and pretendend that his assistant made a mistake. So he is super expensive compared to other tattoo places. While working on one of my tattos, another customer walked in and he stopped working on mine to help the other customer. I had to wait 30 mins before he resumed. He is difficult to work with. Does not listen to your ink needs. Zero star rating!!!! Go somewhere else. I had a better experience with another artist and the quality was way better and way cheaper and did not have to deal with his BS! read more

I was in Newport Beach for vacation (from Denver) and was so excited to get a small, hollow cup shape on my right arm to match the triangle I have on my right one. Mike's book and instagram were FIRE so I was excited he was available for a walk-in on a Sunday afternoon. He was so nice, took great care of me, paid close attention to placement so it matched my triangle. I had a great experience in the shop. However... after it started to heal I noticed that it was as if he just forgot to press the needle in half the shape? It's spotty, blotchy, and has holes in the line work. See the happy leaving customer and now healed pictures. I took care of it after like I have my other 12 tattoos, so it wasn't my issue on after-care. I live in Denver so can't come back to get it fixed and will have to pay a different artists here to fix it. So a small, shape tattoo will end up costing me $200 and I'm nervous they can't even fix it because the thicker the lines get the less it will look like it's left arm counterpart. I'm sad to have to have left a bad review on this shop, but I'm so so disappointed. : ( read more

I ended up getting my first tattoo here. I wanted to get a tribal tattoo, and the guy that gave me mine was not only quick, but he was very professional and easy to talk to. The atmosphere from all the artists was so friendly and welcoming, it definitely relax the nerves. I also got my tattoo for a good price compared to the other places near the area. They use high-quality ink and you can definitely see the difference. I'll be coming back again for my next tattoo. read more

Came in here for my rib tattoo by Ryback. I had an amazing experience for sure. He was really fast, I was surprised. A classmate mentioned this parlor to me and I went over to their Instagram to check their work out. I ended up choosing Ryback because I like his art. The price was fair for what I got done. I would definitely recommend him to friends. Parking was actually difficult, the small lot behind can only fit about maybe 6 cars. I found street parking on the side. The tattoo parlor is really clean. I arrived and Ryback presented me with what changes he had done on my piece. I originally had my cousin draw my tattoo and I sent that over to Ryback for more editing. He made amazing changes on my piece. After agreeing to the piece and placement, he went on to tattooing. I recommend taking tylenol 30mins before the procedure, rib tattoo was so painful. After he was done, the bed was soaked with my sweat. read more

They explain all the information and pros and cons of potential decisions very clearly, never make you feel rushed, and give you honest advice in your best interest, even when it's at the cost of them making more money. And most importantly they are incredibly kind and make the process fun! I got my third ear lob piercings done by Mason over a year ago and had a great experience throughout the piercing process. Both he and Logan made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process from exploring concepts together, helping me pick jewelry, decide what type of piercing to do and where, and actually doing the piercing. The studio and the piercer's sanitation processes were top notch. The piercing process was as painless as possible and the communication throughout the entire process made it easy and comfortable. Even though I don't live close to this shop and there are other piercing studios nearby to me, I wanted to come to Rainbow Piercing to help me when I had an issue with my naval piercing because I knew I could trust them. Mason helped me again today when I couldn't get my navel piercing put back in. I had left my jewelry out for a week and I couldn't install it into the piercing by myself because the piercing had collapsed and trying to put the a piece in was painful, really tight, and dangerous to do by myself. They walked me through the process and were able to quickly and sanitarily install a piece into my piercing using a tapered tool. Once again, he made me feel very comfortable with knowing what to expect and making it happen as painlessly as possible. I would pick Rainbow Piercing 10 of 10 times and can't wait to get another piercing here!

I made a call during my break and was immediately given an appointment, they were so accommodating and patient with me when I came in and gave me different options for more conservative jewelry for work. And bless both of their souls, they stayed a little bit past closing and didn't pressure me into buying something I wasn't sure would be approved. Also, Cat did an awesome job when I first got my piercings with my boyfriend, he now has a nostril ring and I have a vertical labret which we got done about 3 years ago on our first Christmas together. Both have healed wonderfully, especially given the sensitive area mine is in. And mind you, I STRUGGLED to take my jewelry off, I used gloves, bare *washed* hands, and even a paper towel to try and take off my previous bar and when it was switched, it was so effortless and painless, I almost didn't tell when the retainer went in. Barbella studios is kind enough to let you know when a piercing won't work (was advised that a brow piercing is a no-go but the vertical labret was perfect), humorous when they give you aftercare advice so you'll for sure remember, and most importantly are clean, careful, and mindful for their client's safety and budget. Getting pierced by a professional will range widely in price no matter where you go, but with their experience, advice, cleanliness, and support, just know you can never go wrong with this studio. Sure, it may be a little pricey, but that price comes with a lot of accuracy to ensure your body is pierced properly, and has suitable jewelry for the healing and movement your body goes through. Red Buddha Tattoo is straight up legit! When I entered the shop this afternoon (March 25th 2016), I was greeted by Nghia. The atmosphere was laid back and "Asian" themed. Mike was also another chill dude who was prepping my tattoo up until Boon Ma ( my artist) showed up. Ryback, the owner of the shop is a cool guy. He took the time to get to know me and wanted to know how I found the shop. My tattoo artist - Boon Ma was excellent! I presented to him a small Korean word that I wanted. He was able to sketch it out and adjust it to my liking. He was patient and was willing to do the changes on the spot. I would highly recommend this place. I'm definitely coming back for another tatt or 2 and also will be bringing my girlfriend along since she's wanting a tatt soon. read more

Coming into Red Buddha for my tattoo has been probably one of my best decisions yet. The atmosphere of the shop is professional and courteous. Nghia is the artist that I chose to tattoo Jin Chan aka the Money frog on my inner arm. Nghia does great Asian work and adapts to any style necessary. Nghia made sure that I felt comfortable during the session and offered multiple breaks to ensure I was not enduring any pain. Chris and Ryback are also very friendly and welcoming which make this tattoo shop one that must be returned to when wanting another tattoo. I was tattooed by Liz this last week at Red Buddha in Newport. I came to her with an idea only a few days before, and she quickly worked with me to schedule an appointment, found a design (of her own!) that fit my vision, and within three days I had the tattoo!
