OMG I'm so glad I chose to come here and so glad he had a slot for me same day. I just wanted a couple of simple stars but I wanted it to be done well. I've seen so many ppl with bad blurry/bleeded lines and I wanted clean and as perfect as possible. I got that here with Chris. First off his decor is pretty cool and I enjoyed staring at every detail and even touching them. He was so sweet and he prayed for me before we started and it was an awesome prayer. And he doesn't even know me, but I felt like he knew me. He obviously has the gift of prayer. I was scared of the pain but it was ok actually even without any numbing cream. This review is long overdue. Chris did my two shoulder tattoos a few years back and they are still vivid and get compliments on the style. I have one with hammer and anvil with some latin script and another with the Singaporean lion head blended with the Filipino Star with some latin script. My wife got a simple balance scales on her arm with Chris too. We had such a hard time finding an artist that we trusted to do the work, and one that was willing to listen and be patient to us first timers. The experience was excellent. Got to watch a movie while I waited and while I had it done. We talked some, and Chris was very informative of the process and the aftercare. My wife and I haven't had work done in a while, but next time we commit to another piece, we know who we are going to. read more

Think about this...I created a Yelp account just to give this business a five star rating. If you don't wish to read the long account that follows, just think about the service and quality that would compel that kind of reaction. When my wife and I got it in our heads to get a tattoo, we shopped around some. We did our research: scoured the internet from basics of tattooing to how to treat the artist, from how to tip to how to check if the artist is any good... After a couple negative experiences with artists not following through on coming up with a design at a specified time, general snobbery, and exorbitant prices, my wife and I nearly gave up. Then we ran across Chris Perrin's online gallery. We really loved what we saw, but I was a little reluctant to go and meet another tattoo artist who would treat us badly or not even give us the time of day. Chris was welcoming, thoughtful and very patient with us. We were first timers and he rekindled the excitement that was nearly extinguished. A week later, my wife and I both got our first tattoos. She received a small one on her wrist and I got a rather large one on my upper arm. The experience was figuratively painless and the literal pain was negligible. Chris was patient with us the entire time and the caliber of his work outshines the other "highly rated" tattoo parlors in the OC. I just received my second tattoo from Chris today. He can take all the gibberish I print, draw, and write on a page and turn it into visual eloquence. And the colors...don't get me started the way he works with color... We shared our thoughts and drawings. He made appointments for us a week later. He took the time to work with our ideas and refine them. So I am out to get my first tattoo. I've done a bunch of research on artists, etc. & decided to give Christopher a try to help me come up with a unique tattoo from my own sketches. Having emailed him a few times because he only works by appointment, he had me come into his shop during a timeframe. Excited I got my sketches together & drove over to his shop. He was on the phone when we walked in & at least he recognized that we were there and mentioned that he would be right with us. Went here today to get my first ever tattoo on my upper arm. Needless to say, the service was excellent and Christopher was very patient with me. They are reasonably priced and their artwork was excellent. I was especially nervous as this was my first tattoo, but Christopher was extremely calming and we had an interesting conversation throughout the process. Wow, I can't recommend Life After Death Tattoo enough! Christopher Perrin, the owner is one amazing man and a fantastic tattoo artist. I went on Friday very scared as this was my first tattoo and it had a lot of meaning to me. From the time I contacted Chris a few weeks ago to the day he tattooed me, he was not only professional but so kind. He put me at ease immediately by putting on some amazing worship music and then prayed before he started. I didn't know what to expect but he said I did so good. Because it was going to be on my foot, I knew it was going to hurt more than other places but it wasn't that bad. He did a beautiful job in recreating my vision and it's healing very well.
