Does NOT post business hours on EITHER DOORS , intentionally posted inaccurate business hours on Google and failing to correct it. Which results to NUMEROUS customers wasting their time visiting the closed store. Clearly still not fixing the issue still to this day. Insinuating their customers are liars on reviews of their false business hours. Which clearly is not the case when (on the third attachment) someone else wasted their time 3 months ago! Important note: this shop is cash only!! This is one of the best spiritual shops I've ever been to - clean, inviting, and extremely friendly. I walked in and was immediately greeted, given a quick tour by Windy, and offered complementary tea while I shopped. There's a wide selection of books, incense, candles, stones, etc. including a variety of handmade jewelry and other items. What was most impressive though is the apothecary! A full room; shelves lined with different herbs and items that are neatly displayed and organized. If I lived in the area I would be here all the time! read more

I have been on the hunt for a new shop as I recently moved back to Rockford from St Louis, leaving behind some of my absolute favorite shops. Initially I did not turn up anything except more mainstream stores that simply would not have had the knowledge or the presence I was looking for. After some searching and changing search terms I stumbled upon Cleo's and was delighted the shop is within minutes of my house. The day after I located it I was in the need for a magicakal space and decided to stop in and check it out. Honestly I was surprised I had passed it so many times without noticing it before. I know the area and the building well. Parking is around the back of the building, which would suit some well who may not want others to know they're inside (even in 2019 there is still a stigma for some). And there is plenty of parking back there. You enter the store from a side entrance and for me I was immediately put at ease. Kathleen met me at the door and welcomed me in. She gave me a tour of the store, pointing out what was on various shelves throughout. The space is huge. You aren't running the risk of knocking anything over like in some spaces. There is an abundance of books on most subjects of the occult and spiritual world. You'll find spell kits, candles, incense, sage, crystals and jewelry. There is a small shelf with Holy Water, Florida Water, and figure candles along with a few spell kits used with Hoodoo. I do wish there was more in terms of Hoodoo and Santeria, however I understand this part of the world may be outside of this particular shop expertise and customer desires. I would also like to see more in terms of Grimores and alter setup such as goblets, bowls, statues (there are some however). The room of herbs is amazing and there is a small selection of bath bombs in there as well. There are regular events such as Tarot, Reiki (also a class that is offered to become a Reiki practitioner), and the like. The prices of which are approximately $30.00 (except for the Reiki practitioner courses for which they're still inexpensive and info is available in the shop. Lastly you can find some art work by local artists that is for sale. I will be visiting Cleo's regularly. Oh, one additional note is to bring cash. She does not take debit/credit due to the unfair banking practices and fees. read more

I absolutely love this little shop. I drive over an hour just to purchase incense, herbs, stones and books. But the true jem is Kathleen who is knowledgeable and kind. There is always how water ready so you can make yourself a cup up tea. Great tea selection. Plenty of space to sit down and peruse the large book selection which you can review at leisure before you purchase. I love that I can look through a book before I buy it. And they are happy to make book recommendations. Room full of herbs which are premeasured typical in 1-3 oz baggies. Just help yourself to their vast selection of fresh dried and even hard to find herbs at extremely reasonable prices. No one is hovering over you. Every herb is clearly labeled and has it Latin name, weight and price clearly on label. Knowledge help is nearby. Ample parking. If they don't have what you need in stock they are happy to locate and order for you. I ordered a number of books they were out of and Elizabeth Van Buren essential oils they did not stock in the store. They also carry beautiful jewelry, crystals and accessories for your herbal alchemy. read more

All-around perfect Spiritual boutique and supply with the nicest (and knowledgeable) owner. An impressive herbal room, and they sometimes host practitioners on weekends. It's not anything like the mass market feeling of some shops I've been to in the IL/WI area. 5/5 read more
