First off, as a parent don't bring your kids here until they're of an age to appreciate this. There are better places to take them. This was part of a planned vacation visit. We live close but it's hard visiting a bunch in one day then driving 45m home and unloading so we vacation locally. The ambiance here is amazing. Quiet zones, places to sit and eat. Expansive walking areas and a sunny side with informative herbs. It was designed by CWU and it really is breathtaking. The stuff in the arboretum is a bit more touristy and fun, but the sheer amount of moving water and calming plants are relaxing and extraordinary.

Going to the botanical gardens feels uplifting and grounding. One beautiful place to spend an afternoon strolling and enjoying such beautiful views with family or friends. Easy, safe indoor parking, handicap accessible and centrally located to a slew of museums. I highly recommend getting a membership and sharing it with a friend.

I hadn't seen the Gardens! The gardens are over a large area and very nice. There are walking paths, children's areas, large plants. Some flowers were in bloom, and they were beautiful. Definitely see these gardens during all seasons. They are next to Wade Oval.

The Cleveland Botanical Garden is so worth the trip. This specific visit was to see the orchid show and it did not disappoint. The orchids were spread out through the facility and all of the displays were so thoughtful. We ended up walking through twice because it was so enjoyable. It is a relaxing way to spend an afternoon. Parking is accessible in the garage, but sometimes you can find parking on the street. Staff and volunteers are always helpful. Cleveland is so fortunate to have a gem like the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. I can wait for spring to stroll around the outside garden.

The Botanical gardens is a beauty. The employees were very nice and welcoming. The kids enjoyed the greenhouse and the play area. It became pretty crowded. People were being kind and courteous. The botanical gardens were so beautiful and serene.

Orchid show without orchids. Photos speak for themselves

Amateur hour. Every year, this show gets worse. Sloppy presentation. Corny themes. Orchids from grocery store. Pathetic

I always enjoy going for the different events that they have. They have a way of taking something and always making it look new with fresh theme ideas. They were doing the orchids which came everything a lot of color.

With the holiday season winding down I was craving some gingerbread viewing, and this is the place for amazing gingerbread creations. I had been once before back in 2020 and I had heard that the Christmas exhibits have expanded. In a word, wow! The 'FROST' exhibit featured gorgeous indoor displays - really stunning and original - as well as outdoor decorations and lights. And they still had the many indoor Christmas trees decorated in themes. This is a great place to visit in Cleveland any time of year, and kids seem to love it too.

Beautiful! We went on a Sunday right when they opened. If we lived closer i would do a membership and come here to eat lunch. So many spots to sit and enjoy the beautiful foliage and plant life.

The Cleveland Botanical Garden is a sweet oasis in the middle of the city. I enjoyed the Glass room the most. Was warm & beautiful with the butterflies flying around. The outdoor area had a clear & safe walking path. I really enjoyed seeing the tree house.

Indoor/ outdoor nature at its finest Peaceful. Beautiful, well kept. This place really is a must see. Butterfly experience was really awesome. I will be revisiting soon.

The best cure for spring fever. Smell the dirt. Enjoy some tropical warmth and see all the glorious blooms. The orchid show they do every spring is a must see. This year is the best ever. More blooms and variety than ever. Sniff stations, tons of photo ops, vote on entries from orchid lovers, learn about or even buy an orchid plant. Parking garage attached. This is a great way to spend a rainy or chilly afternoon. The theme this year "Love in Bloom". There is a "tunnel of love" as well as a giant floral swan and puffy clouds surrounding Cupid.

The exhibits here are beautiful. We were able to interact with the butterflies, so that was lovely! The grounds outside are also fantastic, the tulips are in full bloom, so there are lots of colors to capture. It's a nice space to stretch and enjoy nature. It appears they're doing some renovations on the grounds and revising some of the landscapes. I hope to come back in the summer to see all the water features in action. The gift shop has a good variety of plants and pots available.

Cafe is also definitely geared more towards the kids tastes compared to other museum cafes in the area, which makes sense. Lots of chicken tenders, grilled cheese, burgers, etc. Some of the animals outside did seem kind of anxious, which made me feel a little sad for them. Lots of pacing. However I think it may be because it was their feeding time.

I've been to my fair share of natural history museums, and while this one is compact, it is very modern and packs a punch! When you enter, you're immediately greeted by a giant dinosaur and that set the tone for the whole visit, I felt like I kept seeing dinosaur bones everywhere! It took me a moment to orient myself to the museum layout, but looking back it's pretty compact and I could've easily wandered and enjoyed most of the museum in a couple hours. I especially enjoyed how interactive the earth section was, and this is silly but sit on those rock-looking cushions - they are SO comfortable! The little planetarium area was also very cool, and I would consider seeing a show in there next time! The dioramas are by far the most beautiful/engaging I've seen, and with between the fish video cave and the outdoor animal area, I felt like I also got a mini trip to the aquarium and the zoo. Overall I had an amazing time and this spot is super baby/toddler friendly! Note: If you have ASTC membership, admission is included! As a non museum member, I'd recommend street parking. It's much cheaper than the flat rate garage fare.

We came to Lorraine Ohio for a girls dance competition, and had an afternoon off. This museum is like no other I've ever visited. We started at the gift shop what an amazing display of artifacts, memorabilia, and Christmas decor, much of it styled out of the 1940s era. While there we had a pleasure of meeting the young lady who played the part of Santa's elf at Higby's department store. She had returned for a reunion weekend with a cast from the movie. The neighborhood looks very much the same the scenes in the movie. The house itself is beautifully restored inside and out. Unlike other museums, this one is extremely interactive. I crawled underneath the kitchen sink and had my kids take photos of me. My granddaughter put Randy's bib around her neck and gobbled away at a dinner plate. Upstairs we rattled around through the bedrooms, the bathroom (the decoder ring was sitting on the sink). I highly recommend this museum!

FREE MUSEUM warrants a 5/5 stars. No complaints…read more The Transformer Station is a small and free museum that is managed by the Cleveland Museum of Art as a satellite campus. The selection of art work and pieces are sparse but it is a small museum. I visited on a Sunday afternoon in September 2021 with 2 friends. We all enjoyed our time browsing the museum. The staff member that we encountered was helpful. There is an upstairs and a downstairs section. Exhibits are forever changing as in a typical museum so I hope to visit again.
