One member of the staff was consistently nasty and condescending. Moreover, I feel the information she gave me was often misleading and in bad faith. Southland Vision care also lost half of my test results. When I received my test results by mail, they included two copies from the same eye and none from the other. Each of the copies was individually annotated. That such an obvious error made it through analysis and mailing suggests either a puzzling level of incompetence or actual malfeasance. When I pointed out the error, the office was willing to refund the cost of the test. However, they were unwilling to refund the cost of the office visit that they had specifically scheduled to perform the test as I had "spent a lot of time in the office" getting the test (the results of which they lost).

I had been seen over the last few years for vision loss by three different eye doctors. I saw Dr. Pierre at Brecksville Surgery Center because my vision was deteriorating. He noticed several problems, but said my cataracts were significant and he immediately schedulede for surgery. It has been a month since my second surgery and my vision just tested at 20/15. I can see without glasses for the first time in almost 20 years. Dr. Pierre is a God send, is a caring, skilled surgeon, and the staff at BSC is the best. The center is high tech and all the doctors are the best in the state. I recommend them with all my heart.

The first one, from Cleveland Eye Clinic made no sense to me. What was shown as the amount I paid was some random number, a lot less than what I had paid up front. I called customer service and was told that the bill was in error, that they had a new billing system, and that I didn't owe anything. I just received the second bill, this one from the Brecksville Surgery Center. Again, what was shown as the amount I paid was inaccurate. The customer service rep reviewed my account and told me how much I owed, which was a different amount than what was stated on the invoice that I received. She was throwing out numbers that weren't on the bills I received. Please get your billing together. Please stop sending bills that apparently don't even match your internal records, leaving the patient confused about how much is actually owed. I told the rep that I'll consider paying the bill when I get an invoice that shows clearly how much Aetna was billed, how much they paid on the claims, and how much I had paid or still owe out of pocket. Like I said, the medical services I received were excellent. It's a shame you make the practice look bad with amateurish and confusing billing.

Easy parking lot, spacious well-lit front room, and greetings with smiles using the name listed for the appointment. Such a great atmosphere. We were called back right on appointment time- no waiting around watching your time tick away. Jackie was amazing with my son's pre-appointment exam, letting him know what she was doing before she did it. Dr. Wiersma was professional and to-the-point; I had full confidence immediately and appreciated his time presenting options and answering questions. He took us to the front room and Natalie helped us from there. She was friendly and professional. We never once felt forgotten or unattended to, which happens as you wait and wait somewhere.
