A nice paved walking trail with other amenities. Sadly, not many places around here have sidewalks, so we rely on Cleveland Greenway as a safer option for walking away from the streets or brush. Creeks run alongside it, and people are seen fishing. We spotted some rock bass, creek chub, and green sunfish within the shallow waters. We've also spotted some garter snakes and a copperhead snake right to the side of the sidewalk, so BE AWARE, especially walking with pets or children. Parking areas and restrooms are dotted along the pathways. Bicycles are permitted, but watch for pedestrians. We attempted to ride our bikes on the Greenway, but it was too crowded with pedestrian traffic to be enjoyable. Dogs are also permitted but must remain on a leash. There is Greenway Park, located off Raider Drive, that offers a playground, restrooms, pavilion, event stage, open space, and public art. It's a nice place to rest. It's the best walking area we have in Cleveland and has cleaned up the creek front along Keith St. Mostly just a walking trail but dogs are welcome. Must be on leash and clean up the droppings. The trail is over 7 miles currently and runs behind Home Depot off of Paul Huff. A small parking area is there and can park at Home Depot. The central parking area is best at the intersection of Keith St and Raider Dr in the BiLo parking lot. This walkway just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Just noticed this morning that they extended it even more at the parking area behind Home Depot. Look at my second picture and that is where they did this at sometime over the past few weeks or past few months. I used this a lot during the year of 2013 after buying my new bike. I think the last time I used it was maybe some where around September of 2013. Anyway, you can ride your bicycle down this trail and it is fun and pleasant. It is also healthy too. I added a horn to my bike for safety purposes. Also, you are suppose to pass on the left which is one rule of the Greenway. Joggers can be seen all up and down the trail. Or you can simply walk down this trail or even run. Last but not least, you can see all kinds of dogs. There usually happy as they are enjoying it too. I always take bottle water with me on my bike by installing a bottle holder on it. When I leave home, I fill my cooler full of bottle water and cokes. While I am on the trail, I might pull off and find a resting spot. Now, there are some benches in several places where you can sit and rest. The trail is made of concrete and is pretty smooth. But, there are a few places where I have to change gears to adjust for a hill. I recommend starting at the Home Depot location but you can start at other locations like down the road from the post office, or at the park. Trust read more

Very good place to go for a walk or ride you bike. We like to take our dog to the dog park. Over all it is a very safe place to go to have fun and set and read a book or just watch nature or listen to the bird play their lovely songs. If you are look for a long run or a short run, Look to get away and relax for a while this is the spot for you. read more

We love to walk in the walkway around Cleveland, TN Good exercise n pretty no matter what time of year.

This path is nicely paved with benches and trash cans easily accessible along the path. There is a nice play ground with a picnic area, bathrooms and an open field. When there's a hard rain, some parts may be unusable. Bathrooms are conveniently located throughout the greenway. Though it's going through the downtown area of Cleveland, you will enjoy a nice nature walk. There are open areas with direct sun, as well as, shaded arboreal areas with exercise equipment. We were so impressed by this greenway. I read somewhere that it totals seven miles. There's street lamps all along the way and I bet this would be a great place to walk at night. I loved the heavily wooded stretches of the path. There were playgrounds, restrooms..... read more

Okay place to take your dogs at the dog park. However, it seems most people don't pick up their dogs poop! Ugh!

The greenway is a lovely place to walk, ride bikes, walk dogs, and just generally enjoy the day. As a mother of a small child, we practice walking here. They also have a dog park and a play park for kids. The area is clean and responsible dog ownership makes it fun for little one and adults alike to play in the grass. read more

My family has really enjoyed walking the greenway. It is great exercise. It is good for family bonding, and we love to see the ducks. However, every time we go walking on the greenway we have to deal with dog crap, mean dogs and inconsiderate bicyclist. I wish the city would put up signs telling people to take their dogs to the dog park and ride their bicycles on the bike paths and leave the greenway to the walkers. read more

Very nice and clean. Well lit in most areas at night. I ran a 5k here over the weekend and I felt like I was gonna die. There was a church garden nearby to the course so I guess that would have been convenient if I had. Really wish it was flatter in some areas. The public restrooms are horrible but it's like that in all the public areas in town. read more

I love this walking trail. It's long, scenic, and family friendly. We park by mouse creek and walk to the park and let the kids play. They like to pick blackberries on the trail during the summer and we even watched a turtle laying eggs near the path once. read more

Nice place to take a walk and love seeing the fish in the creek and have made friends with the ducks already we take bread even though the signs say it will make them fat. But if you do not want to carry bread with you they have places you can buy feed from what looks like bubble gum machines for a quarter. Only negative is I think if you are a couple casually walking side by side in some spots of the walk it is not wide enough for the bikes and some of the riders are flying up behind you at a fast pace without alerting you they are there. I almost hit one the other day out of reflex because he came up so fast and unexpected that it startled us when he flew by so close. But with that said there are plenty of riders following the rules and alerting you they are coming up on your left. And thank you for the ones that are following the guidelines it makes it much more enjoyable for everyone. read more
