We got a call out of the blue from a Mr. Ed Martin of this firm, demanding $35k for a "past due"…read moredebt even though we have no past-due accounts. He pointed to a contract signed by our "COO." We don't have a COO, the address on the contract wasn't ours, and it wasn't the signature of any of our employees. He sounded gruff, and frankly drunk, on the phone. I'm sharing this out of caution but also concern that if Mr. Martin indeed has a drinking problem, help is available. But he shouldn't act/behave this way on the job. I will be following up with a bar complaint (as in the legal association, not the places that sell alcohol) but I hope that the bar can get him help if he needs it.

I clearly stated multiple times I did NOT want credit repair services--only to settle my $2,700 debt. The rep (Renee) repeatedly reassured me they would not dispute anything and would only help resolve the account, saying it could be handled for $1,500. I told her I was driving, in a rush, and couldn't review documents. She said they were only for verification, so I trusted her and agreed. Within 3 business days, I called back for confirmation and was told I had been enrolled in a credit repair program instead. Jose, a very rude account manager, refused to help with my debt and denied refunding the $698 I paid, claiming services were provided--which is false.
