Saw a comment about them having silver and bronze age comics so I drove South an hour away to check…read moreout a new comic store. When I arrived I asked the guy behind the counter about them and he basically said, "good luck, we don't have many because guys come in here weekly with their Key Collector apps out hoping to make a flip." The comics are well organized so I looked and I did find one....$3 for a Warlock Infinty Watch #7. I brought some comics in to trade since another store I've frequented (that's North an hour drive away) does trades. Absolutely not here and the guy told me, "we're like Walmart, we don't do trades." I paid the $3 and left. If you're in there for Funko or new age comics it's probably a great store. If you're going for TCG be prepared to pay high dollar for scalped products and "minty" raw cards.

This place is located in the perimeters of Orlando, Florida in a small shopping center next to the…read morerestaurant. It's nice and Qwaint and sits in a hidden area behind later places. But upon arrival, I can tell that it was a pretty laid-back please. The desk clerk was very knowledgeable about the games and their history, as well as some nostalgic items that were available. They also have lots of Funko pops if you're into that type of thing. I even like the way they use the ticket gun to price various items in the store. It reminded me of the old school candy store with the little stickers label posted on it. The items look well cared for and wrapped very thoroughly and methodically. I believe lots of the items are fairly priced and not overwhelmingly expensive. I was most impressed with the miniature video game console that sat at the front counter that pre-dated the Atari. What surprise me most about this location is that they had a actual arcade in the back with various games from the 80s like contra, galaxa, pong, Qbert, dig, dug, streetfighter, or Pac-Man, and they even had a racing game. Even though it was not a very, very large arcade, It really did bring back quite a bit of memories.

I haven't actually been here since my boyfriend and I broke up; however, I was in the area at beauty master and I decided to stop and see what they had and I'm so happy I stopped. I spoke to Gabe at the counter when he rang me up all the opened Funko's or four dollars so I snagged Mr. Oogie boogie. I will be cleaning him up and dusting him off and then I will be bedazzling him. Most of the comics I got besides from the two dollar comic were $.50 apiece and then he also bagged them up and put a paper backs in them as well for me. They sell them for I think $.15 apiece for the bags in the bags; they also own the store next-door, which is called last pack magic it is a trading card game store. If you are ever in the area, Mike's comics and collectibles has a wonderful selection of $.50 comics as well as comics that come out now I highly recommend stopping here. If you're going to have back issues or comics at all I behoove stores to have them bagged and boarded nice as it makes me as a customer more likely to buy. Owner Jack Tolzmann has made it fully a comic book store now, devoting space that used to be shelves of used books to more graphic novels and collectibles. There's a selection of kid-friendly comic books at the back right corner and teen graphic novels to your right when you enter. New releases go up on the wall every Wednesday. This store has been helping Saint Augustine geek out since 1986.

I've been hunting MAD Magazines for the longest online doesn't help with people setting outrageous prices for them, once I collected my comics I asked the cashier if he had any MAD Magazines and once he said yes it was like the heaven sound I immediately left majority of the ones I had before and went through that box with an urge lol I found so many and took almost half since he had them for the best prices I didn't get the chance to get his name but the cashier knew his stuff me just browsing around and overhearing his conversation with someone else and him knowing so much about regardless of the topic I most certainly and definitely will be returning here no doubt it best service by far. They have a large selection of Current Comics and a fair selection of comics from the 1960s and 1970s. Laid out nicely, and easy to browse through. There are also boxes of consignment comics to check out. Then there are quite a few Sale comics 25 cents plus boxes at 50% off, so lots of selections for the casual buyer. Of course they also have figurines and games. Owners are very knowledgeable and said they can also search for a specific comic title or issue. Check it out.

Every person there was very friendly and helpful. Even though there was a tournament going on, they were kind enough to sit with me and explain things, and I even played a game before the night was over. They have a massive selection of comics, Funko POPS, and hard-to-find toys and items. Prices seemed to be very fair as far as I could see, too!

We immediately felt uncomfortable. Our poor son was so confused & thought he did something wrong. why have toys on the floor, in the reach of children if you don't want them to be touched? If you have littles I would personally skip this store, plenty of other kid friendly options in the area, especially the antique store right next door.

If you are a history connoisseur or love to read Biographies about US presidents there is a big section in the back right of the store. I found some great music books for piano and other instruments tucked away in a box under one of the shelves. I was a bit disappointed with the price of some of the music books. I usually pick them up from other book stores for $3-$4 each. Here, the books for selling at or way more than the original price, and these are by no means a collector's item. The Scarlatti Sonata No. 30, "The Cats Fugue," original price is $2.50 and is sold here for $20. I can order the same edition on eBay for $3.99. other online retailers sell the same book with alternate cover for $1-$2 more. Unfortunately, I couldn't ask for a discount because the owner was out of town for the holiday so, I left this book for now and purchased two other books for about $6 each. My Mom purchased a signed edition of Heart Wide Open by Shellie Rushing Tomlinson for $15. I guess that is about the going rate for a NEW book. I can find it unsigned/secondhand online for about $5; I guess the signed book brings up the value? The store owners' brother was operating the store while the owner was out of town. I didn't get his name, but he welcomed us in the store, was very helpful, and shared a great conversation about his service in the Airforce. All-in-all, this is a cool store to check out if you're in Deland shopping.
