I've stayed all over the dells and this is my favorite spot for many reasons. First. The rooms with balconies have a view of the water that can't be beat. Second, they offer huge family suites that fit 8 people . Third, my kids love the simple water slide that they allow kids to use tubes on and go on till 10:30 pm. They don't overly police kids here, they let them have fun and live their best lives. People have always been respectful. My kids love going from indoor pool to outdoor pool to the river. Rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable. It's not loud and we did t hear any hall noise. You can bring a cooler to the pool. Also love that rooms have a fridge freezer combo and microwave . We had to cancel our family's vacation because of the way we were treated by the resort staff. We had reserved multiple rooms for a large family gathering and were excited to stay at what appeared to be a beautiful property. Unfortunately, our experience with the staff was unacceptable. I informed them that I have a trained service animal protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Rather than discussing the situation professionally, the staff member laughed, stated "absolutely not," and said they didn't care about the law. The interaction was rude, condescending, and deeply disrespectful. Beyond the poor customer service, it was extremely concerning to hear a representative openly dismiss federal disability protections. Because of this experience, we no longer felt comfortable staying at the resort and were forced to cancel our family's vacation. It's disappointing that such a beautiful property was overshadowed by staff who treated guests this way and appeared unwilling to follow the law. I hope management takes this matter seriously by providing proper ADA training and ensuring future guests are treated with respect. read more

Cliffside is the up north resort of my childhood. It's the old school-iest in the best way possible. Family run, you'll get gorgeous lake views, many included amenities (sauna, pools, free kayaks, grills, fire pits, GAME ROOM and more) along with impeccably maintained rooms and grounds. We saw eagles and deer and appreciated the quiet - but were minutes away from the Dells madness. Again, everything was spotless (obligatory "sanitized for your protection" toilet ring) - and full of intricate woodwork and thoughtful details. It's like a vacation at your Polish grandmas place. I could not love this place more. Bonus points for the large family group of Poles who started hammering drinks at 8am and kept going hard until quiet time at 11pm. Na zadrowie, y'all. read more

Stayed at resort for Memorial weekend. Owners are great, rooms are very clean (better than most hotels). Resort is set on the lake and very well kept. Some nice old school European work. Beautiful views. They have an indoor and outdoor pool. Always kept very clean. CONS - if you love being around screaming kids in the pool this is the place to go. Did not know and Waaaaaay too many kids. I don't mind kids but whoa! Beds are too firm for me. It is a beautiful place, great for families but not for me. read more

We had an absolute wonderful stay. The family that runs this little gem is wonderful. The room we had had such a great view right over lake Delton and the pool. The bed was comfortable and linens were clean. We were able to enjoy the outdoor pool before they closed it up for the season. We opened the patio door and used only the screen door while sleeping at night. There was a nice breeze, and it was quiet. You could hear the ducks quacking at 3am. We loved it. So peaceful. I am going to bet you lunch that you were so fast to pull the trigger on your negative review, that you made a huge mistake and disparaged this wonderful family-owned hotel in Wisconsin Dells and you intended to review Cliffside Resort AND CONDOMINIUMS in Greenport, NY. 2. In your review, you stated you wanted another Condo in another building. Cliffside Resort in Wisconsin Dells is only one building. Secondly, they are a hotel. The older, wonderful Polish couple owns it, and their son also helps them run the business. In 20 years, I have never seen anyone else at the front desk, as this family lives in the building where the front desk is. They are the owners. There is no other "management." 4. Going here for nearly 20 years, when housekeeping cleans the rooms, they work in teams, and they don't leave the room, and when they are done, they lock the door to the room. I have never had a bad experience with housekeeping in 20 years. Not one. I've also never heard anyone swear at a customer in Wisconsin Dells ever. Family run hotel with an unbelievable view. You're able to watch the Tommy Bartlett water show from the pool side! Docks to the lake are great if you want to fish, rent or bring a boat, and swim in the lake. Although it's an older hotel you can tell they've invested heavily in newer products to make the rooms nicer. The staff does a great job keeping the hotel very clean. Owners are helpful in recommendations around the area too! Cliffside is great, you can hang out all day poolside and relax even though you're in Wisconsin Dells. read more

I will definitely be staying here again, often. Came here yesterday to give it a chance after a couple bad experiences with two other Lake Delton resorts. I was warmly welcomed and given exactly the type of room I hoped for: upper floor with balcony overlooking the lake. Unlike the other two resorts that told me "all the rooms were dirty" and I couldn't check in until 3PM, or, " there's a two night minimum", I was welcomed and provided a room of my choice at 11AM for the day. The property and rooms were clean and the price very reasonable. The nice lady at the front desk told me they would welcome my business in the future. If you're looking for a good hotel to get away from the hustle and bustle of Wisconsin Dells Parkway, Cliffside is just the peaceful place. The owners were lovely and polite, who by the looks of their very simple and user friendly website and their reservation system by phone only, they like things simple and easy. Upon arrival, the outside looks like a regular Wisconsin Dells type simple hotel. The decor was fairly outdated (maybe 70s), but it was clean and everything was in working order. The standard rooms with 2 queens were fairly large....for Wisconsin Dells....same size as named hotels. Outdated decor, but it had a clean updated bathroom, comfortable beds, table and two chairs, dresser, night stand with alarm, flat screen tv. The best part was the balcony with an incredible view of Lake Delton where you can even watch the Tommy Bartlett Show from afar. It was so peaceful to sit on the out on the 2 chairs and watch the boaters drive by. The hotel had heated indoor and outdoor pools. My daughter loved the slide at the outdoor pool. We just loved looking out at the lake from the jacuzzi, which was too hot that some kids were able to sit in it. There was plenty of cushioned lounge chairs, a couch swing, picnic tables, and patio set all around. There is a fairly large sauna and a small workout room. There are stairs that take you down right up to the lake. There, they had 3 different spots with picnic tables, lawn chairs, and bonfire pits. They sell boxes of wood for $10 (half a box $5). It was the perfect place to catch the 8:30 Tommy Bartlett Show. This the place to stay if you're not looking to stay in a water park all day, every day. Great price and incredible views. The wife and I took a chance on Cliffside Inn for an overnight stay after going to Ishnala Supper Club in Lake Delton. We LOVED our room so much, we decided to stay another night! Most of the reviews were good and we ignored the few bad reviews from the complainers who are like kids; you give them chocolate ice cream and the beef about not getting vanilla, you know the type! So we arrived and were greeted by Angie and wonderful older very polite and very pleasant lady. Check in took only a few minutes and we were off to our King Size Jacuzzi Suite. The room was very clean and very cool with AC running for us before we arrived. Jacuzzi was squeaky clean, white, with no stains, etc., that would have been a turnoff for the wife and I. The balcony overlooked Lake Delton directly across from Tommy Bartlett Water Show which we watched both evenings, two shows one at 4:30 and 8:30pm The view off the balcony was absolutely wonderful. The balcony is not huge but plenty of room for two chairs and small table to hold your drink. We had Room 107 which put our balcony right on the huge deck and thus was not private. Room 108 is the same room and features but the balcony is a bit more private as it has a wall between the balconies of 107 and 108, however your nosy neighbor could look over the 4 foot wall so even 108 while more private is not enough for you know what on the balcony unless it was late, late night or early morning! Maid service was great, I asked for all clean bed linens and towels, etc, all which were gladly done and provided for us. FYI I always tip the maid as they work their butts off to keep us comfortable! $5 a night is not a lot and I am certain they appreciate the thought All the facilities are well-cared for, clean and very nice. There are some places where a little wear and tear are visible but they're minimal and have not affect on your comfort or convenience. The place has an indoor and outdoor pool, sauna, small workout room(who cares) and a very spacious deck overlooking Lake Delton with plenty of tables with umbrellas, and lounge chairs. Great for watching water show, playing cards, drinks, etc. Cliffside is located close by to the attractions in the Dells and Lake Delton. We're older and didn't go there for any of the tourist stuff; honestly if you have a family there's plenty to do right here to keep the kiddos happy for hours and days; fish right off the pier, swim in the lake off the sandy private beach, have a fire in the pit, gas grills with utensils to grill, game room all enough to keep grandkids happy when we bring them up for our next visit. The room had nice sized (not huge) ice cold refrigerator, microwave oven and 4 cup coffeemaker; get the coffee, cups, sugar, half and half at the office which is gladly provided, just for the asking. Plenty of paved parking with an array of security cameras facility wide for your safety. I would highly recommend Cliffside for a private getaway or family vacation; well worth the drive from Chicago and our new favorite getaway. For $185 a night in high season I think it's a good value given all the amenities Cliffside has to offer. I'm very glad the wife found it and I am already looking forward to my next stay, try it and you will too! read more

Peaceful quiet place. I had a view of the the lake and it was so beautiful. The whirl pool and pool is indoors and available anytime. I think it closed at 11pm. No one kicked us out it was way past 12:30 am. The room had a jacuzzi. The bed was nice plenty of pillows and anything else you could possibly need. simple no frills room. It was clean and quite. When we left for the day we used the please clean up sign. The room had fresh towels but nothing was really cleaned up. I expected the trash to be emptied and the bed made. A side from that I was pleased and felt relaxed. I will come back again for sure. read more

This place was a great location for a family trip in the Wisconsin Dells. The view on the lake is peaceful after a full-day at the nearby waterparks. Make sure to get the free passes from the hotel for Noah's Ark. The pool here at the resort is cool too. It overlooks the lake and has a slide for kids to enjoy. Ours made about 50 trips down that thing! Would be five stars, but due to a scheduling error, they didn't have the correct room ready for us when we arrived. They worked hard to make up for it and the rest of our stay was very enjoyable. We would return. If you are looking for complete peace in the evening, be aware that the ski show takes place across the lake every night. We thought it was fun to watch, but could be a distraction for certain visitors. read more

The views were amazing. Stayed on first floor between outdoor and indoor pool. A nice cozy, warm, homely place that has the essentials of any typical hotel room. The common areas have a lot of woodworking on the ceiling and trim. Reminds me of some Swiss Alps type décor. It is an older building, but well maintained and clean. The staff is very friendly and professional. They work hard at making sure the property is ready with what appeared to be limited staff. That made me want to support them all the more. Even though they had no vacancy the night we stayed, it was very quite and peaceful. A refrigerator and microwave was the in the room along with iron/ironing board. Sink was upgraded with granite counter tops. read more

When we checked in immediately noticed our room hadnt been vacuumed very well we found food crumbs on the floor, TV wouldnt work had to play with the input source and cords, found multiple hairs in bathtub, entire family itched from the beds and indoor pool looked to be falling apart, also while kids were swimming in pool one of the lights inside the pool side came out and was floating in the pool still on and smoking. Mentioned to a maintanance man that smelled of electrical burning-he told me if there is something burning the fire alarms will go off. At night could hear everything from people walking in halls to people outside..very thin walls. Not a very nice stay for the price we paid. read more

Unexpected piece of paradise on the lake. Prices are reasonable making it a great buy. My room was totally updated (except for popcorn ceiling). It offers free WIFI, discounts to local things to do, free coffee. Rooms include a small refrigerator and a microwave. Room is clean and beds are comfortable. I liked that we had a sink in the bathroom and another one in the room. Close enough to everything and yet it feels like a remote resort on a beautiful forest lake. Reserve a lake view. read more
