Her oat bran fruit muffin is to die for! During the whole meal they engage all of their guests in delightful conversation and make you feel right at home, in their personal home. The view of the cove is breathtaking and they are only minutes from the legendary Peggys Cove Lighthouse. We paid $200.00 Canadian per night for the cottage and when we converted it to American is was less than an average hotel here in the states. It was worth every penny and I personally plan to go back in the future.

One staff member followed us out to apologize not like the colleague who was rudely yammering to her colleague. We followed up with a call and email and received a sorry. That too is not appropriate. A refund or something to try to make up for the disgusting state of the non sanitary change room would be an attempt to make things right. Sad situation caution on the change room conditions and less than satisfactory excuses.

An internet search brought us to Oceanstone, which seemed like the perfect place to stay as we also wanted to check out Peggy's Cove too. We were lucky enough to secure one night and totally fell in love with the resort, pretty much at first sight. We had put in our booking comments that we were on our honeymoon, hoping we might get a really nice room. We were so pleasantly surprised to walk up to the kitchen in our super cute private cottage and find a lovely bottle of wine along with handmade, outrageously delicious sea salt caramels and a hand written note. To the resort, perhaps a small gesture but to us, it really make our stay that much more special. We really enjoyed our night's stay in our private cottage, which was just set behind the main lodge. The cottage was quaint, clean, and well appointed. We loved our small balcony just outside the living room area, we enjoyed our coffees out there in the morning. The bed was also super comfy too, like a cloud. We loved it there so much we inquired about staying a second night however sadly the resort happened to be fully booked for a wedding party the days immediately following our stay. We ended up eating at the restaurant on their property, Rhubarb, three times in just 2 days - it was so good. We enjoyed an early dinner when we first arrived, then ordered pizza as a "later" night snack then ordered take out the next day for dinner from the next cottage resort we ended up staying at just down the road. We also took a couple of lovely, calm walks along the ocean front during our stay which was so nice. The property is stunning and it feels like you are in another part of the world completely. Last year I finally got my dream camper and we moved in and it was a great year,I joined the seasonal committee and i worked in the canteen and was very happy to come back this season but told myself i wasn't going to work there this season and was really going to sit back and enjoy my time. That all quickly changed, with new management came change to the campground which we all expect but not to this degree, workers were treated badly basically from day one, activities were cancelled or not put on at all with no notice, people were being yelled at. No longer enjoyed the canteen as the food quality was no longer good and prices jacked up. (and remember i worked their last season so i am aware of the difference in quality this season). My daughter left a great job with a scholarship to come back and was told she would have a increase in pay and manage the general store, which never happened instead she was talked bad about behind her back and to her face from the general manager and after trying to have meetings and it going nowhere, we told her to walk away from the job. My son was yelled at by the managers husband where they could have had a conversation, i do not believe in yelling at children especially from the managers husband (and management was with him at the time) when i went down to speak to them i was told they have had a number of issues with my son which i believe not to be true as they have never came to me with any prior complaints. They used to have an amazing landscaper and this year they did not return i do not know the reasons behind that but instead of replacing that person and put up fake plants around the campground which look tacky. This once happy place turned into a place I dreaded being at, thankfully i have made amazing friends at the campground who I've made amazing memories with and because of all these problems within the campground we won't all be together next season as a lot of us are moving to another campground. I hope that changes are made and that Yogi can be a happy place again and be what it once was. I would not recommend this campground.

We arrived a few hours before check-in and they accommodated us and provided us with a room. For checkout, they allowed us to checkout a bit later at 12 and they stored our luggage for free till 4pm when we had to leave for the airport. The room was clean and modern. You could control the lights with traditional on-off switch or with the touch screen panel on the wall. The touch screen panel also allowed you to control the temperature (fan and AC). They also had a tablet on the desk that you could use for hotel info, menu, etc..... They had a fully stocked snack and alcoholic drink cupboard that was weight sensor controlled and automatically charged you if you lifted anything. They also had free tea and nespresso pods. The bathroom was fully equipped with locciante products. They even had a loofah and a small nail file. We booked through Expedia and got a really good deal. Overall, I highly recommend booking this hotel.

I gave him three-quarters of mine. I like that they give you a glass bottle of water and leave it at your table. I noticed that each table had a different shaped bottle which I thought was cool. My husband also got a flight of 4 beers for $8. Each beer was 4oz each. He got to chose the beers individually from a list of about 12 beers. All the beers were brewed in Nova Scotia. The dining rooms - yes, more than one were again furnished from an older, simpler time and the food was delicious. A lobster club sandwich for me and some crispy coated scallops for him...okay, we shared everything and it was all excellent. Next surprise, was the bookstore. We actually ate our lunch in it. Wonderful selections of Canadiana - literature, history and for me...local cookbooks. Feasting for tummy and mind. Perfect! And last, but not least for the foodie in me...the gourmet gift shop with everything from serving pieces to ingredients.
