This company should change its name to Fraudatech. Very dishonest and unscrupulous business dealings. I will keep my review succint and salient points only so others can learn from my mistake. 1. I bought a brand new HVAC system ($12,000 cash paid) to fraudatech 3/2019 2. The AC failed during heat wave 7/2022. They charged me $200 "diagnostic fee" to come look at it after already paying them 12k. I was regularly changing filters every 3 months. This diagnostic fee should be returned per good business practice, but these fraudsters will not. 3. They quoted repair price of "$1130.00. " The unit is less than 3 years old, I asked about manufacturer warranty and the manager Paul Naski said the part is on back order until September (which is false as confirmed by another hvac repair company). I then asked exactly what is the cost of the part and how much is he charging for labor?? He was deceitful and avoidant - would not tell me what he charges for labor. The tech honestly told me the job is 1.5 hrs only. 4. They gave me run around for 2 weeks without repairs done, and constantly canceled my appointment last minute. Finally they came today (Monday @ 8 am). I had already spoken to the office that I will be at work, but the job is outside only, and I can come as soon as job is completed to give check payment. The office staff Sarah and Stephanie agreed to this. But this morning I got call from Paul Naski who was nasty on the phone and demonstrated poor customer relations while the tech was already @ my house ready to start repair. I fired them and saved myself $1130.00 5. Hired Mechanical Heating and AC out of Hamden, who came out same day to repair 6. Last week me, my wife and 1 year-old twin girls returned from vacation and found that our AC would not turn back on. After a message to the Climatech emergency line on a Sunday night, our technician Jesse was at our home first thing Monday morning to evaluate the situation. After a thorough assessment, we all agreed we needed an entire HVAC system replacement. Paul in the office was able to a quote out to us in no time and, with consideration for our circumstances, get an installation scheduled in just 3 days. Jesse, along with Noah, returned and we able to get our new system up an running in just a few hours. The cost, timeliness, quality of work and customer service were excellent. Had a heating emergency on a Sunday, and after agreeing to the emergency fee a technician from Climatech came out (before the expected time). What I had hoped for as a repair to my 30+year gas furnace ended up being a replacement. Climatech was able to rearrange their schedule and installed a new furnace on New Years Eve day. Follow up by the manager was a nice touch. I will not hesitate to call them again or recommend them to others. read more

I recommend not to use this service salesman was talking to me in a degrading manner could not figure how to install a new system to a new location 8 feet from the old one in a unfinished basement seem like he was confused on how to do it I have been remodeling homes for over 40 years did a lot of plumbing my self this guy was feeling me out to see how much I new about plumbing to see how he can screw me .I figured let someone else do it for me ,seeing the the people I used to use retired .I don't know if he was trying to make the job harder then what it was to make more money this new system was going to have it own ventilation.seem like they don't have much experience in HVAC. read more

LFS Flooring During the extreme cold snap we had this winter i tried calling several heating companies to service my gas furnace in our office in meriden. I called Climatech and they were able to come out to our business later that day. The technician that showed up was polite, courteous, and very knowledgable. They were able to get my furnace up and running within about an hour and get heat going in our building which was essential because i would have lost product in the warehouse had they not been able to come out for us. I would recommend this company to any looking for an affordable and polite HVAC servicing company. read more

Called them to fix my A/C. The came out quickly and all the people in office are very nice and polite. Tech showed up and determined it was a short in the wiring and the contactor. Took 2 hours to repair. I am ok with the labor fees. What I am taken back on was the part. I googled the for my Goodman unit and the prices range from $20-$40. I was charged $208.00 with a $30 discount so $178. I do accept a service company doubling cost but this seams like their marking it up 400%. That's like the markup on alcohol at a restaurant. May use them again but probably not. read more

Sadly with Climatech Mechanical Service the customer is always wrong. I gave a very truthful review and complimented Climatech on the their staff being very pleasant even though I disagree with their overcharging of services. The owner instead insults his customer and says, "I am not aware our technician collected any funds." Well if you read my review I said you overcharged me too much to install a high volt contactor. Climatech just installed a mini split indoor unit to compliment my existing Daiken set up. Out of for local quotes I received , they were the lowest. Paul helped me match the right size unit with the space I have but wasn't pushy or trying to upsell. Easy scheduling and a quick turnaround to get the job done. Works great and it looks nice. can't wait for the dead of summer to really put it to work. Will use them for my boiler needs this winter. read more

They came to do a scheduled maintenance on my central A/C unit (maintenance they recommended) and the unit began to freeze up. I called back and they sent a second technician who took apart the unit and said we needed a new central A/C. I have left SEVERAL messages for the owner and he does not call back. read more
