I was looking for a local massage therapist who could work on my shoulder and neck after I did something to it and was in pretty bad pain. I saw the good reviews for Clinical Massage Therapy and bonus, it was close to my house, so I decided to check it out. The space was clean, inviting and relaxing, so my first impression was pleasant! I was a little worried about the massage and whether or not this would be a place that badgers you into getting a membership after your massage - my last experience at a well-known national massage chain did that to me and it left a bad taste in my mouth (and totally stressed me out right after the massage!). But my fears were quickly assuaged when Carmen, the owner, introduced herself to me personally and welcomed me. She assured me that Rhiannon, my therapist, was one of the best and I was in good hands. Rhiannon introduced herself and took me back to the private room where she had me explain my symptoms and point out my trigger points. She asked me what kind of pressure I preferred and asked if I wanted the table heated. When she came back in after I'd undressed, she began working on my shoulders and shoulder blade area with great firm pressure. As she found knots in my muscle tissue, she would kindly explain that this may hurt for a minute as she worked out the kinks. She continued to give me a heads-up whenever she came across a spot that may be tender because of the huge knots I had in there; I appreciated that so I could pace my breathing and mentally prepare. It hurt so good! She explained that I'd be sore the next day and recommended I ice the area to soothe my sore muscles, which no one had ever suggested to me before. I left feeling like I'd lost 10 pounds - my entire upper body was completely loosened and mobile, and while I was a little tender, I felt SO much better. This is a true story I am going to share with you Yelp. In April of 2015 my wife and I hired a landscaping company to do an entire remodel to the front yard of our Rocklin home. I am always trying to save $ so as apart of my landscaping bid to save $4,000 I agreed that I would dig all of the holes in the front yard for all plants and shrubs that were going to be planted. You see where I am going with this now probably. I dug 67 holes in total ranging from 1 gallon to 5 gallon. Within 30 days of doing the digging my back was in so much pain that I barely could even get out of bed it was in such pain. The pain continued to worsen and I was starting to actually fear that maybe I had done something permanent. I started to see a local chiropractor for almost 5 months. This chiropractor did everything he could from adjustments to electrolysis and while some of these things offered some type of relief the back pain was still there and quite uncomfortable by the end of the day. I remember some days not being so bad but by nighttime I was in a whirlwind of back pain no matter what chiropractor appointments I was doing or no matter how religious I was at doing my daily stretches the back pain was still there. Finally after almost 5 months of seeing this chiropractor he advised me that this was not going to work until I got deep tissue massage. So he referred me to Clinical Massage Therapy. That to this day was the greatest referral anybody has every given me! I made an appointment to see Stacey. I went and saw her the first time and after my massage I was so soar I honestly thought that it made it worst! That was until I awoke the next morning, I immediately noticed more movement in areas that were sore. I then went to a second appointment and the same result, after the massage I was so sore but then the day after when awakening in the morning even more movement and even less pain! I couldn't believe it! In just two massages I was getting better results than I did with 5 months of chiropractor care and doing stretches daily. Then I went to a 3rd massage (all by Stacey) and by the following day after my 3rd massage my back pain was 100% gone!!! It was almost miraculous how the pain was totally gone. So this was in 2015 that this all occurred. Now let me tell you one more story about this massage spot. Just recently in April of 2017 back pain started to creep up on me again! I cannot lie, it had been almost 1.5 years since I went to get a massage (2015) and now all of a sudden almost 2 years later the back pain comes back. I immediately knew what I had to do so I booked 4 appointments with a different therapist named Peter. I went my first time to see Peter and pretty much the same thing happened that did with Stacey afterwards, extreme soreness but then the next day, incredible relief was there! After 2-3 appointments with Peter again 100% back pain is gone!! I am now a perfect 2 for 2 when it comes to eliminating back pain by using this company. All of there therapists are great. I have used stacey, carmen, peter and Daniel. I love them all but I must say that Peter has stood out far and beyond. He is like a walking bible of massage. He knows everything it seems like when it comes to his art and you can tell by his work. I now at this point pretty much refer everyone and anyone I know that has pain to Peter and Clinical Massage Therapy and several of these friends and family listened to my advice and guess what, every single person that I have referred to this place went through the same exact experience that I went through. 1 to 4 visits and almost all the pain gone! This place is amazing, I would cry if they were no longer and if I moved away I would actually consider flying back to Sacramento just to be treated by these therapists! You just do not find spots that do what these therapists do. If you have been going to massage envy which seems to be so popular nowadays I hate to break it to you but that is not a massage, that is having your back fluffed is all. If you want to actually be released of the pain you are going through then this is the spot. Not only have I myself had two different positive experiences here now over the past 3 years but everyone I have referred them to has came back and told me the same exact thing I went through! I attend yoga a lot so I am referring this place to a lot of the students that are facing neck, shoulder or back pain. Yoga, chiropractor care, stretching, electric pulse stimulation, all of these I have tried to eliminate or relieve back pain but the #1 way I have discovered to not only relieve it but to eliminate it 100% is by going to this massage spot. While lifting weights at the gym on a Sunday I injured myself pretty bad. To the point where I thought I may have herniated a disc or really messed up my spine. I've NEVER injured myself working out before so I was very nervous about it. I went home and did the standard ice/heat for an hour and it still felt awful. I literally got no sleep that night because I couldn't get comfortable. The next day was even worse. I couldn't move my head because my neck was in so much pain and my whole upper body felt stiff. I yelped massage places near my office and this one came up. They got me right in on my lunch break (I love that they do 30 min appointments!). Tamara (sp?) Was my therapist and she did an excellent job. Not only did she ask about the pressure multiple times, but she asked a plethora of questions before the massage to ensure I was getting the right treatment. I will absolutely be back. My neck/back was a 7/10 before the appt and within 30 minutes maybe a 4/10... plus I can actually move now!!! Update!! I just went for my second massage - this time for 60 minutes. Isaac was my masseuse today and he was very professional and great at his craft. I think it's safe to say this place has very well trained staff who know what they're doing. I'm not sure why anyone would complain about them wearing gloves? This isn't your "normal" massage. This is a "clinical" massage. This place is a must!! Go check it out. I went to Kim not knowing what to expect, but I am a nurse and have chronic back and foot pain as well. Well let me just say she completely made me feel 110 percent better!.. my feet felt normal for once. my back pain was soooooo much better. I have been seeing Stacey for about 8 months now and I truly feel that she has helped changed my life. I went to her after chronic back problems were starting to greatly interfere with my work and daily life, she helped my MD diagnose periformis syndrome and her massage therapy has helped me to the point where I spend most days pain free. During an appointment, I just happened to mention my carpal tunnel syndrome, not knowing that she could do anything to help it and she offered to try to help it. After only 3 sessions of massage therapy on my arms my carpal tunnel syndrome has completely disappeared. She has not worked on my arms again and she hasn't needed to because it is healed, but if it does reoccur you can be sure I will be in her office the next day. I saw the positive reviews on yelp and was able to book an appointment for the same day for 30 minutes with Rhiannon. She was fantastic and in that short amount of time was able to find my problem spot and get to work getting back to standing up straight! Excellent service & massage! I've been having neck and shoulder pains for a couple of weeks and needed some relief. I was visiting some family so I'm not familiar with any massage places. I saw this place on Yelp and it had excellent reviews so I gave it a try. I booked my appointment online the night before with Danniel. I showed up to my morning appointment and signed in. Shortly, there was a phone call from Danniel who didn't realize he had a 9am appointment but would see me at 11:30am with a discounted rate. I couldn't make that time so I left disappointed. As we were driving back to our hotel, I get a phone call from the owner, Carmen. She apologized about the whole situation and said she can do my massage herself. So I went back and had an awesome massage from Carmen. I told her where my pain was and she thoroughly explained what she will be working on. I've had therapeutic massages before so I know the pain that comes with it. I can tell she was really working on my knots and guided me when to inhale and exhale to get through the pain.
