We took our Lexus here because we had an extended warranty through Lexus and since there isn't a Lexus dealer locally we thought that a Toyota dealer would be happy to provide us good service since they are both part of the Toyota family. Boy, was that a mistake! First of all, they gave my wife a hassle over the extended warranty. Then, they diagnosed the problem, charged a substantial (and heretofore, undisclosed) diagnostic fee and stated that it wasn't covered under the extended warranty (which was true). We then took the car to Big O Tire without disclosing anything about Clint Newell's diagnosis and they diagnosed it for free and gave us a much better price on the service! Suffice to say, we will never be going back to Clint Newell. It is now time that we are considering trading in our vehicle and we will be making the trek to either Eugene, Grants Pass or Medford and definitely bypassing Clint Newell and I would suggest that you do the same! read more

I gave a NO to good value because rates are very expensive, but, no different than any other dealership. (Thanks democrats) However, we've had many new vehicles and besides Medford Nissan, Clint Newells service department is as honest as I've seen. See my review for Medford Lithia Toyota for comparison. Their service manager literally stole my 4 runner and took it to lunch, on his own time, while I was waiting. Bummer for him I have gps monitoring and the general manager settled with me out of court. Took my car if for diagnosis of ions A/C. Two days later they call and tell me that I need the compressor, condenser and evaporators there is metal in the system - $3,500.00. Took it to an independent service shop. The next day they called and said they figured out why the A/C was ions, a relay. They asked how the dealership could troubleshoot a system that wasn't even running. No signs of metal and cold enough to make ice cubes. Grand total - $320.43. read more

I had my Honda Accord repaired at Clint Newell's Body after a deer ran into the side of my car. They told me the work was guaranteed for paint defects and workmanship for as long as I own the car. The Door skin that was installed on my car has rusted through because the body technician did not prep and rustproof the installation of the door skin to Industry and I-Car standards, I'm told by several body shop that a very important step was not done in the preparation of the door skin ( Weld Through Primer) would have prevented this type of failure. this is a product of poor Workmanship. The Body Shop manager told my husband it's not their problem that I have owned the car to long, This is not acceptable to me. I love my Honda and it is in Immaculate shape not a speck of rust on it except for the door that was skinned improperly. take a look at the photos. Stopped by to ask about a feature on my GMC truck radio and was told by Allison that because I did not buy the truck from Newell I would have to go into service and purchase her time to show me how to get into the navigation program. The week before I went into her area and was told to come back and see her, this after calling them because no one in that area would acknowledge me even though there were three people in that office area. This is why I swore years ago not to go into this dealership. The parts guy is great, service is pretty good, but if you're looking around it's hard to get anyone to pay attention. Oh well, it's sad because I live here but I'll just take my business north where service is practiced. read more

The body shop people are HORRIBLE. I've never had a worse experience in my life! Rude, unhelpful, and they "fixed" my air conditioning. Well guess what? They didn't fix it it's blowing hot air in 100+ degree weather AND it sounds like a space ship about to take off. HOW IS THAT FIXED?? And when I tried to get it back in they got RUDE and MEAN and said "sorry not our problem" are you KIDDING ME? You got my money and now you're done with me. Nice. WORST BODY SHOP, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Don't waste your time go to Medford or LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE. Compared price of a part they sold me from another dealership i used and it was almost double. Tried to over service my vehicle with things that werent needed. Repaired a broken wire to an injector took two hours labor this was after being charged for diagnosing. I wish i lived closer to my old chevy dealership. Nothing but a rip off stay clear. read more

THE worst customer service experience! Got towed there after being stranded on I-5 due to the back end of the vehicle seizing up and not moving at all. $540 for a Vehicle diagnostic. Service Advisor Ellie is very stuck up and rude, so spoke with Service manager Frank, not any better. They said the 2016 Chevy w/less than 73k miles was not under warranty for the power train even though it is an obvious manufacture defect! I called GM Manufacturer, they said not to pay for the vehicle, they would take care of it. NOTHING DONE. GM customer service sucks just as bad as the Clint Newell customer service. Frank went above the GM rep I was talking to, who was helping the situation, and told the GM manager not to cover it. The issue with the vehicle was per Clint Newell "the rear differential side bearing is blown w/heavy damage to rear diff. Noise found from rear diff, vehicle will not move, grinding noise in rear, possible stripped ring gear and pinion. Disassembled the rear diff completely. Found the left carrier side bearing blown, this caused excessive movement in the ring gear and pinion and carrier binding the differential and damaging the locking assembly. The ring gear and pinion and the bearing spun in the housing damaging the housing as well. also found the right axle movement was excessive thus allowing the RR Rotor to contact the backing plate damaging both." TELL ME HOW THAT IS NOT A DEFECTIVE ISSUE?! Called Roseburg Towing to pull it out of Clint Newell's shop and send it to Walker Brothers. It's pretty pathetic customers have to jump through hoops like that, actually its complete bullshit. Nice customer service for a $51,000 truck. jerks. read more

I wish I could leave a zero star review, horrible customer service, horrible shop, mind you it was under warranty(yes covered) but wasn't purchased at that particular lot, brought in for repairs- mis-diagnosed to start with, then spent a week looking for a part that didn't even exist, then after proving they had the wrong diagnosis, my original chevy/gmc parts were replaced with some used ones found in a truck out back of the lot, without. Y permission or warranty companies(which they would have paid for a new one) then basically rushed out of the shop to be ignored time and time again by management even the owner as to why my truck was "repaired" like that..... and can't get a phone call back to resolve it ...... so ya, unless you buy the vehicle there, I would run as fast as I could from their doors, crooked af read more

my experience with this company started out great, but when it came to negotiating price the sales person refused to even try or budge. I had questions on the vehicle and it was as though I was taking him out o his way. I puchased the vehicle because I thought that sense I lived here that I would be treated better, but I was wrong. One of the key fobs was not working, so the sales person told me to come back when the parts department was open, so I came back the next day and the parts person said that it did not have a battery in it and he was going to charge me for the battery. I left and purchased at another place. It seams that if I bought a car from them that I would be treated better instead of a dealership being so tight wad that they couldn't even provide a damn key fab battery, much less for their sales staff. I'd give this a 0 if I could. I had my vehicle serviced under warranty. A week later my car suddenly has no power. Per my warranty provider the vehicle was taken to Clint Newell for diagnosis. Client Newell then tells me that a cable was not connected to the battery tightly enough. Now...the battery was replaced 2 weeks before they fixed it and had not had an issue. Every mechanic and vehicle service inclined person I know says they would have had to disconnect the battery to perform the service they did 1 week ago. Clint Newell swears they don't disconnect the battery for that anymore. Ok. If that's truly the case(I don't believe so) then fine. However, when I brought you my car one week ago I advised the check engine light only came on after having replaced the battery. So wouldn't you check that in conjunction with running the code??? Just to be sure it wasn't the battery causing a faulty code to fire??? Any good mechanic would check those cables due to a client advising the check engine light came on after a battery(or any part for that matter) replacement. So whether they didn't reconnect it after the service last week or they didn't check it to begin with last week...this is their error that has now cost me over $200 between their charge and the lost work time, and rental vehicle for the day. Yet they do not care one bit. I am having to go into debt at Christmas time because they refuse to own up to their mistake and rectify the situation. So Merry Christmas to me...NOT!!! read more

Good experience with GMC warranty work. New to the area. Warranty was with a 3rd party which required extra hassle. Rebecca took care of everything which included a bunch of phone calls, scheduling with the warranty inspector, calling the parts supplier, etc. She notified me as soon as the part arrived. I arrived on time for the appointment and they had it done before I got back from breakfast. Very friendly people. Clean modern store. Every time I took my car in they washed it. Will definitely have all my service done here. read more

Went in to have the oil cooler supply lines replaced on my Saab 95 Aero at Clint Newell in Roseburg which is just a 30 mile trip for me. Driving to the Saab dealer in Portland would have required a 400 mile round trip so I was hoping that this service locally would save me a whole day of driving. They were ready to do the job when I arrived and took me in right away. By the time I did some shopping and had lunch they were finished with the job. Quick and easy at about the same price as the Saab dealer without the drive. read more

If I could I would give there service department a negative star rating. This last Friday my family and I were traveling from California to the state of Washington. After coming into Roseburg our oil pressure had dropped to nothing, the check engine light came on and our car was beeping telling us to shut the engine down. We pulled into there service department told them our situation and asked if they could help. The lady had said I'm sorry we can't get to it until Monday or Tuesday, I don't know what else to tell you. But I can go online and check if there are any GMC dealers in Eugene that can help you. Which is at least another hour down the road if not more and we had two small children in the car with us and she wouldn't even hook it up to a computer to check the engine error code to make sure it was even safe to drive. We ended up going around the corner to an Auto Zone the young man hooked up to our computer (which only took 5 minutes) and said it was an oil pressure sensor malfunctioning so we made it to Vancouver, Wa to Carr GMC dealer and received immediate and wonderful service and where back on the road. read more

This has to be the WORST dealership service center (let's hope the dealership side isn't as bad as the service center) I have ever been to! they don't even deserve 1 star, If I could rate it -5 starts i would definitely do that! Me and my wife traveled up to Winston, OR from San Francisco, CA in our 2013 Chevy sonic. On our way up as soon as we pulled into the fred myer parking lot our check engine light came on, it being 8:30 PM on a Friday the service stations were all closed. We get all our work done at Chevy dealerships. We went early Monday morning to get this engine light checked out. (Side note: OnStar was able to run a diagnostic and let us know our thermostat was not functioning correctly) we get to the service station and we pull in, we let the lady know everything that happened and that the car is still under warrant as we also bought the extended warranty through GM. We waited in the customer waiting lounge (they need a HUGE update) for about 2 hours before someone called us to come to the cash office. She said they ran a test and the thermostat is out (same information we knew when we got there) and they don't have the part (we watched 5 people come in and be told "we don't have that part", this service center is VERY under stocked and I suggest they fix that...) and we could come back in the morning to have it worked on because they will get the part shipped over night. We expressed to them that we can not stay, we have a life back in CA that can not be disrupted. My wife is pregnant and she has a DR appointment on Tuesday 5/24 that can not be rescheduled because it had already been rescheduled for this emergency trip. The lady in the cash office said that they were unable to process this through a warranty "for some weird reason". We had to pay $131 out of pocket for wasting two hours of our time to be told the SAME information that we already knew when we came in! we should NOT have had to pay ANYTHING out of pocket, this should been charged through a warranty claim. I am very upset with the service we received and I will not let this go. This WILL be taken care of, I will contact GM's customer service center or even the BBB if I have to! read more
