Service was horrible. Waitress was so rude. The food was decent but the waitress just ruined the whole lunch. Every question was answered with a rude response. I will definitely not be back. Such a shame. Many people looking for a job and some don't appreciate the one they have.

Forgot to get a pic of the exterior. Here's what went into my interior.

I could not come up with a readable wordplay relating hole in the wall & Pink Floyd's Another Brick in the Wall. Clever is hard. Clippers Cafe is a hole in the wall. Just south of downtown Martin, it's an easy place to overlook, but as experience refines my snobbery, these little joints often offer fresh, simple, delicious food served on white plates set on scuffed wood laminate tables. The well used furniture shined, the trodden carpet was clean, restrooms also high mileage but sparkling. There's a chicken farm about 200 feet from Clippers. The staff told me they don't collect their own eggs daily but the golden, smooth scramble was so flavorful it must be fresh from the hens. The french toast was custardy but slightly charred for crunch, and the bread us house made. As was the oatmeal- not the paper mache paste most restaurants serve, but hardy, oaty and a huge serving. Friendly locals and hot coffee. Parking a cinch. Not far off southbound 131, an out of the way spot for chow.

We tried to grab breakfast in Kalamazoo MI prior to getting to the airport. One hour. Another was 40 min. Oh heck let's see what is on the way. This was a quick on off from the freeway off the 55 exit. No wait. Friendly service. You could hear the conversation of all the locals and kids. A neighborhood place. My Greek omelet was good. The toast is homemade and there was apple butter on the table. My hubby had a ham n cheese breakfast sandwich which he enjoyed. My adult kids enjoyed their breakfasts (breakfast bowl and scrambled eggs). We also got a side of gravy. I'm a fan! Service was prompt and friendly. Thank you Clipper's!

Great small town breakfast, great service. Exactly what I was looking for in a diner. Would 100% go back next time I'm in the area!

I still dream about this soup. My husband (meat eater) has tried multiple sandwiches and he's loved all of them (and he's not even a sandwich guy). It can get busy there on weekends, especially during the lunch rush. But so worth it. If you're thinking about checking it out, do it!

We joined the line and chose to dine in. Selections of ours included egg salad and turkey and even PB&J! I tried multiple sandwiches and while they took a little while to get (they were also very busy!), we found a seat quickly, started eating our chips and did a bunch of people watching. There's water if you don't want to buy drinks but the food. Wow! The egg salad was delicious - so delicious. Turkey was also. Everything was freshly made, with high quality bread and toppings. Spot was bustling but clean and quick service considering how busy it was. Bathrooms were clean (they must have quick cleaning due to the amount of people). Quality food in a quality atmosphere. And I think they do events - the spot on one side had a sign that they were going to be closed for an event. That must be a great area for a party!

An excellent start to something when I hope is a new addition to the menu. Like most good poboys very good role and sauce and excellent meat. Alligator was cooked, very juicy and not too much breading. The opportunity to make this better and more long-term: add tomatoes! But also I heard somebody complain. It was too spicy. I didn't think so, but I recommend replacing the spicy pickles with some sweet bread and butter, pickles. Service is always outstanding. Special kudos to Johnny. He always ensures customers have what they need. Very appreciated.

Last night we went and it wasn't very busy but our server was running around, very frantic and kept forgetting things. when our food came out the sides were wrong and I mentioned it right away. The server said she would go get that fixed but by the time we were done with our meal the right side still hadn't come out yet and I told her to just take the up charge of the side off. My husband had gotten the cajun fish and it was cold, wet and no crisp. When my kabobs came out the bucket was even cold like it had been sitting out, the meat was tough, cold and just not good this time. $90 meal and very very disappointed.
