    Beer flight

This is our favorite brewery in Cedar Rapids. Their beer is fabulous. It has a great vibe and good service. Also, how cool is this flight? The attached restaurant also looks amazing. Sad to miss out on it.

Great atmosphere. Fantastic beer . Wonderful staff. Great service. Brewery and Pub are separate. Odd that the restaurant is so fancy, and foo foo foods compared to the laid back vibes of the Brewery. The Witchslap NEIPA is probably the best in the area. No distribution so you have to pickup their beer on site. A must visit.

Clock House has quietly become one of the most interesting breweries in the corridor area. They have a nice little taproom with an outdoor seating area, and the variety of their beers is tremendous. My eyes light up when I see one that a new one of their sours is slated for release. Throughout the year they release new items that vary wildly in style and many are highly popular in the area (and wildly popular with my taste buds) with some of their can releases accompanied by a rush at the release time and being sold out no too long after - that's when you know they are brewing something right.

Nestled next to Black Sheep, Clockhouse is easily overlooked which is a shame. Clockhouse offers one of the best selections of locally brewed small batch beer in the area. The flavors are unique and varied and always very tasty. The owner is incredibly passionate about his beer and his love for his craft is obvious. While they don't have a full menu of food, there is enough to satisfy any cravings you may have while enjoying a pint. Plus, the newly opened patio is wonderful! Clockhouse has jumped to the top of my brewpub list in CR!

Im not a huge beer fan but after eating dinner at black sheep and our waitress going home shortly after dinner we couldn't get drinks anymore. Thank God this place was available I ordered three waters and a beer. Peanut butter beer was on point! Glad we stopped in Saturday thanks for your hospitality

What a neat spot! Super nice staff and a good selection of unique beers and ciders. I didn't try the food, but they have a small selection of affordable appetizers and sandwiches to choose from. Go taste some beer, grab some cans to go, and come back again to try something new!

Update: Tried the food... not near as tasty as I was hoping... I ordered the pulled chicken Sammie with fries....very, very, dry. It had bbq sauce mixed in, which I prefer to add my own. Also feel like it needs some pickles to add more flavor. The fries were ok - liked the seasoning. I still give them 4 stars as the beer is sooo good and the environment is very chill and modern.

Severely underrated brewery! For a small and newer brewery, they are punching out some great stuff! Witchslap is probably in my top 3 favorite beers. Get yourself to Clockhouse - you won't regret it!

Perhaps my review may be a bit skewed because my drink and appetizers came from Black Sheep, but I can give a perspective for the non-beer drinkers. We've always sat in the Black Sheep side, but our group wanted to try the beer flights and bar atmosphere. Actually, I didn't even know the bar was there. I've always walked by the kegs on the way to the restrooms, but didn't pay attention to the walkway into the Clock House. We sat at high top tables and our server was helpful in selecting the beer for flights. A couple of house favorites were sold out. Our server was not able to order cocktails from Black Sheep, but we could walk through the connecting door, order, and bring back into the Click House. It was easy. The menu is also a small sample from the Black Sheep menu. Instead of being served in Black Sheep dishes, it was served more bar-like; in a large tin coaster with decorative paper. It was a nice pre-dinner spot.

The Clock House is one of my favorite breweries I have been to in a long time. The staff is super friendly. This is a family brewery. We were told their daughter creates all the art work. As we were leaving the owner was returning from the craft brewfest in Des Moines so we got to talk to him. They had an AMAZING cherry beer on tap. Unfortunately they were sold out of cans so we couldn't take that one with us.

Honestly this is probably one of my favorite bars to go to in Cedar Rapids. Clockhouse Brewery has several different types of beer they brew for all sorts of beer drinkers. My favorite beer they have made was their Pineapple Witch Slap Hazy NE IPA. They're most common beer called Witch Slap is very delicious in and of itself. This brewery is always fun to go to, to hang out with friends inside or on their outside patio. Clockhouse has many fabulous beer releases. Definitely a must visit place for anyone that's never been! Excellent Brewery!

This restaurant/watering…read morehole has sit-down option, seating at the bar and then additional seating outside the restaurant itself. The space is very well done. We were headed out on summer vacation and needed a celebratory beverage to start us off. Big Grove for us, chocolate milk for the littles. Perfection. The drink selection was great! The food menu looked pretty standard. Wings, salads, quesadillas, nachos. Pricing is as expected at an airport. Honestly, I was most impressed at their breakfast menu! Tons of options-- burritos, pizza, bagels, English muffins... yum! (Ranging from like $3-$8, too.) Overall, wet your whistle at Millstream Brewhaus!

I found them at a good time where they were not at capacity at the beginning of my airport visit and sampled some of their menu waiting for my flight out back home. The place is adequate size for the airport (which is not a massive airport). MB was clean and well maintained, and welcoming without being too ornate. My servers were very positive and attentive, even towards the end of my visit where MB started to be at full capacity. I had the chicken tender app and the quesadilla app, both were good and hit the spot. If you sample their beers and ales made by their own Millstream Brewing Co., I recommend trying their White Ale. It's on the order of a Blue Moon type Belgian but much more flavorful and enjoyable...I wish they were near to my home as I enjoyed this one a lot! Bottom line: Definitely try Millstream Brewhaus if you get a chance to visit CID airport. Pretty good eats and a great White Ale. Positive and attentive service in a nice atmosphere. I enjoyed my visit!

Heavy metal riffage in a ice cold glass…read more To round out a day of exploring the Quad Cities, Emily and I dropped into Wake Brewing to have a beer and a few rounds of Uno and a few other card games to relax before the drive. I didn't look into the place before we stopped here so I assumed it was either surfer-themed or was attached to a coffeehouse. Little did we know it was a heavy metal/groove metal nanobrewery. I thrive on heavy metal so perfect for me, not so much for Emily. There were about 10 beers on tap to pick from so I got the Midlife Crisis (fitting as I near 40) and Emily got the Green Mind. The place was filled with what felt like the regulars so we took a spot over in a corner to drink one last beer before the road and play some card games in my 'pub kit' as seen in the cover photo above. My pub kit is a simple plastic container I got from Walmart that is full of quick and easy games to play at breweries, coffeehouses, or wherever you are. It just happens to be plastered in stickers from my travels. Anywho, back to the topic at hand. I really liked Wake Brewing. I have been into IPAs lately and tried a West Coast one for the first time. It was tasty but since I've been drinking hazy or tropical ones, it didn't quite hit like I am used to but that's on me and not the beer itself. Emily really liked her gose beer. I was eyeing the other IPAs on the menu but with a 2 hour drive back, I didn't want to delay us getting home before too late. While we sat there, some really nice groove metal was playing. It reminded me of Tool but less technical and more foot tapping. Shazam said it was King Buffalo and I'll have to check them out once life settles down a bit. If the heavy metal scene scares you, don't be intimidated. Most metal heads are big nerds and are some of the chillest people around. We didn't stick around too long but I wish we had. I loved the entire vibe of this place and would've liked to try some of their other beers. They do have some merch for sell, so you know Emily and I got all their stickers for this trip. If luck finds us back here again, I will def get a shirt. Anything to support heavy metal (and beer). As a side note, do know that trying to park here had me miss the parking lot's few entrances quite a few times. So, if it's your first time, be vigilant of the weird layout and multiple entrances. Rock on!

The IPA I had was solid, and the barrel aged barleywine I bought to take home was outstanding. Staff are a little gruff, but no more so than some places. Not jerks, just folks tired of dealing with idiots, and they don't know yet if you are an idiot. The smashburger food truck screwed up my order so was only able to eat half the food I ordered, but not really Wake's fault. The vide was nice, I loved the industrial patio. If I were in town longer, I would have made another visit. Worth stopping by if you are a brewery person!
